To make a long story short, my roof received damage from a storm but I was hesitant to file a claim with my insurance company. A month later my insurance company sent me a letter stating that due to my damaged roof that they will not be renewing my homeowners policy. I was shocked. They gave me a deadline to replace my roof at my expense in order to keep my coverage. I contacted Matt from C&N construction and explained my situation. Matt was extremely helpful through the whole process and my insurance ended up paying for the replacement roof. I was on a strict timeframe that I didn't believe was possible to achieve by Matt got my roof replaced before my deadline. The whole process was smooth and I can't say enough good things. read more

My story is similar to many on here. C&N Construction stopped by after a storm saying they could work with my insurance company on some damage to a rear porch roof. At the time there was NO ISSUES with my roof of my home. They got on the roof to take a look and give me an estimate. Big mistake. They cut shingles on my roof and when the insurance adjuster came the next day they commented on the fact that the shingles looked like they had been intentionally cut. The replacement of my roof was good, but left lot of roofing nail all over my property. They left parts of old roofing between my gutter and house, can see it. They did not reinstall all of my gutter guards correctly. The person I was dealing with quoted me something, then his boss came back to me to try to get me to pay more than I was quoted. Several months later a different guy called me and again tried to get me to pay more than I was quoted. They finally agreed with me after showing everyone over and over what I was quoted. read more

We worked with the Claim Specialist, Guy Divittorio, who at first seemed like a nice person. After getting our claim denied by our insurance company-- something that Guy talked up a storm about and was certain he would be able to fight for-- we knew this would be an out-of-pocket job. We explained to Guy that due to financial circumstances we were going to still shop around and get other quotes. We decided to move forward with a different roofing company and Guy was FURIOUS about that. After finding out that we were going to go a different route, Guy proceeded to spam my partner and I with dozens of text messages. He would speak terribly about the company we hired (without even knowing who we contracted), he threatened us, cussed us out, and even called the inspector because he assumed that our contractors were not doing their jobs right (and that he would've provided a better service and experience). Lo and behold, we passed the inspection with flying colors AND our roof looks AMAZING. The moral of the story is, do NOT work with anyone from C&N Construction... ESPECIALLY Guy Divittorio. I will say this though......Jim was so nice the day he sat at my kitchen table after a tree fell on my garage damaging it and my fence. I felt so relieved that someone would take care of everything. He was happy with the insurance adjustor's estimate. He was happy to take my check for 60% of the insurance money, and told me call if I had any questions or needed anything. AND THAT IS THE LAST COMMUNICATION I HAD WITH HIM, not on my end though. To make a long story short, I did get my roofing work done after almost three months that was like pulling teeth. I also got the garage fixed. However, they would not pick up their leftover materials or give me any kind of receipt for the work done to turn into the insurance company to receive the rest of my money. We were pretty sure we had extensive storm damage on our roof, and a family member highly recommended Matt and C&N, so I gave Matt a call. He couldn't have gotten the ball rolling any faster than he did, and within days we were approved for a new roof and gutters! The job was left undone and they received a whole insurance check and when it was noticed that some of that money was to complete other damages that occurred. They would not refund me When we notified them. No communication, no follow up, no walk-through after the job. They never tarped the inside patio and left damages. Numerous attempts were made for them to come and to complete job along with reviewing the damage. This has been going on since August of 2025, Last attempt was made in January. Still no reply. In my opinion I would not recommend this company for any house repairs to your home. They also took material that they didn't use that could've been used to fix the issues. They charge me for a back flash and but the roof started leaking and we found out it was never replaced. If we didn't have a leak, we would never have known that they charged us and did not place a flashback that was supposed to be installed. It has physically and emotional strain. read more

I am filing this review to warn homeowners about CNN Construction and their salesman, Gil Vaknin. Mr. Vaknin approached me suggesting my roof needed replacement and heavily pressured me to file an insurance claim. He was extremely persuasive, promising the claim would be "easy" and implying he had insider knowledge that would guarantee approval for a full replacement. He even suggested he "knew the people who would come for inspection." Based on these assurances, I proceeded. The outcome was a complete failure of his promises. The insurance adjuster approved only a minimal claim for minor repairs and stated that some of the supposed damage appeared to be fabricated or exaggerated. Immediately after the adjuster's report came out, Gil Vaknin became completely unreachable. He was available and persistent when he wanted my signature, but vanished the moment the claim became difficult and his promises failed. This behavior is highly unprofessional and unethical. Do not trust the high-pressure sales tactics or the false assurances from this representative of CNN Construction. tl;dr - company went above and beyond This review is for a roof replacement due to a storm We had C&N inspect our roof after a recent hail and damage was found. They helped us submit a claim with our homeowners insurance. Surprisingly, our insurance was a bit hesitant - the adjuster didn't want to go on the roof to inspect the damage. Not only did C&N go back on the roof to take video to submit but they also made a video on how difficult it would be to make piecemeal repairs. Eventually, the insurance company approved a full replacement C&N took care of everything - permits, inspections, etc. The roof replacement was done in a day (cleanup included) and we are very happy with the result. C&N Construction Company did an outstanding job working with my insurance company to get approval to replace the roof on my home and the roof on the garage after a "severe" wind storm. My insurance company only wanted to approve work to repair the roof, despite all the missing shingles and the fact the roof was already three layers deep. All thanks and praises go out to Mike Laroche being detailed in his assessments, providing the necessary documentation (pictures) and code information to the Insurance Company confirming the roof needed to be replaced and could not be repaired. Mike was extremely professional, knowledgeable and patient. He answered all my questions, addressed all my concerns, and returned all phone calls and text messages promptly. Although I could not go up on a ladder to see the roof for myself, my neighbor kept a watchful eye, looked over the roof and confirmed the crew did a great job on the roof. I would also like to give thanks to Max who was responsible for overseeing the repair to the damage to the back porch interior (laundry) and ceiling of the garage. A few of the members of Max crew were a bit lack luster in doing the interior work right, however, after voicing my concerns, Max personally returned and had the work completed to my satisfaction. I came home and found this flyer on my door. It tells me everything I need to know about this company. Storm chasers!!! The flyer is made to look like it's personalized but it's clearly copied. The flyer states that I have visible damage to my roof due to storm damage and they could get me approved for a full replacement. I know this can't be true because a week ago I was on my roof with my buddy who's an actual roofer. He told me my roof is good to go for at least five more years. This company was definitely not what we expected. The overall roofing work was not bad but they did leave nails laying around in the yard. Which for us having small children becomes dangerous. The costumer service was what we were not happy about. The service rep who helped us out Eric promised one thing and ended up not fulfilling it. We specifically told him that if this wasn't going to be able to get full-filled we did not want to sign the contract yet he said it would. At the end we were not happy with this and decided to call the corporate office to speak to a manager. That's when we got in contact with Elena who we tried to explain the situation to. She was very rude and dismissive and would not even let us explain to her the situation fully and why we were upset without her getting her point across first. This company was not what I expected at all in the end. The sales Rep and associate that was working with me Michael Laroche tricked me and lied to me. The people he had that worked on my roof, did a sloppy job replacing my roof and left nails all over the yard dangerously! The roof then started to buckle and bubble everywhere. COOKING! In this summer heat! And my gutters were replaced and not fully done and are half white and the facia is not white IT's still brown! He never finished the work! And the screens he said he'd replace from hail damage never got replaced! Nothing NOTHING GOT FINISHED! JUST TOOK REAT MONEY AND RAN! So so annoyed! I have been trying to reach him for almost 12 months now and I could barely reach someone to fix the damaged roof coming apart!!! I am extremely upset! Very shady company! Salesman, Kosta was pushy and got angry when we said we were going to get other quotes before moving forward. He also would not give me a price for the roof, said he would need all the money for the roof even though some was suppose to go towards other damage. They are clearly storm chasers who pay people to tell them areas hit by storms. The owner, Curtis, threatened me on Facebook for a post in a community page telling everyone to beware of them. They had done many roofs in our area who where all sitting with no roofs after a storm, the roof all blew off! We have had nothing but issues since the beginning with C&N - started right after we signed our contract. Now that work is done, as time goes on we keep finding work that was not completed correctly. C&N Hillsdale worked on my elderly father's roof. He lives in a really nice neighborhood in a beautiful house. However, after these guy butchered his roof, it looks horrific. He sent me photos of the work which I will be posting here. There are gaps everywhere. Look at a roof the next time you pass by one. There should not be huge gaps. Water will get inside the house as well of insects. I am not exaggerating when I say that those gaps are big enough for rats and other animals to enter the house. In addition, this company did not put tar or silicone on the nails. This will allow water to enter the roof eventually. Please see the photos below. Like many other complaints have mentioned, these guys cannot commit to a timeline, are unscrupulous, and unprofessional. They are now threatening to put a lien on his house for unfinished shoddy work if they do not receive payment for their shoddy work. In my opinion they should pay for a real roofing company to come fix the damage done to my father's roof. It doesn't take an expert to see that this work is terrible. Stay clear of this company! I gave them over 18k in Octobe. They told me they would have the work started if not done by November 9th. They work was not done and nobody contacted me to inform me of what was goin on. I as for a refund. They would not give it to me. They then kept stringing me along promising to get it done on different dates. I kept asking for a refund. It is now January and I still have not received a refund nor has any work been done. A representative came to my home offering a free inspiration. I agreed, and decided to let him represent my claim with my insurance. He explained everything to me, and I had a new roof within a few weeks. They tore down and replaced my roof in a day. I had some minor concerns, that were addressed almost immediately. Called CN to have an estimate for roof and gutter repair due to storm damage caused by tree damaged from government owned property. They could not get it approved through our insurance. They promised to give us quotes and pictures and had to chase them to try to get this done. Still awaiting a quote and pictures. Follow though and communication is not their best attribute. Have requested call back from Curtis Eshghy and Matt Duddy via their website and still waiting over 2 weeks. Heard more excuses for not following through from their sales rep Vince to his supervisor Kosta to another supervisor who came out. Ridiculous! Money Hungry Company! *Long post alert but worth the read* C&N is more worried about money than their customers. rep first came to my house on July 29th after a storm passed by our neighborhood. By August 14th, insurance approved the claim but did not include our garage roof. C&N submitted a supplemental but Insurance company took a long time to approve (which which was frustrating to both them and myself), however, they had asked me for a down payment (which I learned my lesson not to ever give again), to start requesting permits, ordering materials and doing the main house roof, gutters and front light pole. Over 2 months passed and permits havent even been requested. After insurance company verbally approved the supplements (which was approx 75% additional from original estimate, again, money hungry) I contacted the rep to request permits because the weather was starting to hit below 40 degrees (the roofs can not be installed below that for warranty purposes and I have a 2 year old and 4 month old at home) They agreed to requesting permits and ordering materials on Thursday October 14. On Monday Oct 18, I contacted the rep early in the morning and asked if permits had been requested after not hearing from her for hours I contacted my village and asked about the permits which they said NO, C&N had not requested permits, later in the afternoon, rep finally answers me and lied to me that permits were requested already (I had told the village not to accept anything from them by that point). I requested the agreement to be cancelled and voided and to please return my deposit, which they said that I will not get any refund! I went in the following morning to speak to "the accountant" whom I had been dealing with regarding the finances and was told that the "other" accountant comes in later, I said I will call later to speak with her so that I could get a refund check. When I called later on and asked for "the accountant" i was told she was in a meeting, than I asked for the "other" accountant and the receptionist said that "the accountant" was the only accountant, there's no "other" accountant (i was lied to and disrespected to my face, one of the biggest slap on my face ever) after speaking to upper management, long story short, they said they agreed to give me back $500 of the $2,111 down payment however I will not be able to post anything online or the BBB. After thinking about it, I concluded that my freedom of speech was worth a lot more than $500 so thus the reason for this long post. If I could give this company a lower mark I would they came to my mother's house twice and to sell on what they could do then they bailed on us twice when insurance adjuster came to check on it kosta is an ambulance chaser of the roofing industry and even Allstate called them storm chasers.
