    Tempura Frided Cauliflower
    Heather H.

I had no idea the restaurant had changed. Last time I was there, it was the Tressle. I absolutely LOVE the absence and decor of the restaurant and bar. Everything is electric blue and a little eclectic. The menu even has back lighting! Every menu needs this feature. The piano keys across the piano room was my favorite. Evidently, they also.habe live music on occasion. We only got drinks and apps and sat at the bar. We decided on Bang bang shrimp and Tempura Fried Cauliflower. Both were delicious... we had to get a second Cauliflower. The drinks were great and the bar tender took fabulous car of us. I will definitely be back for dinner.

Food service ambiance. Chef is Culinary Graduate and menu changes with seasons. Service is wonderful.

I was really is disbelief when I walked through the establishment.  There as outdoor/indoor space for hookah was on the first floor. The upper level is where I spent the majority of the time. The bar was slow but that how it in a night club most times. The drinks were delicious. All the staff were friendly. There were multiple places throughout the establishment which were set up with a back drop to snap pictures.  The vibe on the top floor blew my mind. I never imaged there would be a place like this is Bergenfield. There were dancers on stilts, confetti, smoke machines, and a screen to watch the dj. I enjoyed myself.

Beautiful setting and great vibes if you are looking to chill out or party with your friends…read more Service was quite good but Food options was quite limited when compared to the Drinks Menu, and price was definitely on the higher end, which was still acceptable for such a spot. We had ordered Guacamole which tasted kind of bland and was just average. Drinks were pretty good though. My main issue was how they have setup their Hookah. Very limited Flavors to begin with and except for one, all other flavors were not so great. On top of that, they charge $10 extra to replace the Coals. $10 for COALS..?!?!? I have been to so many Hookah Lounges and this was the 1st we were ever charged for getting the coals changed. That is just atrocious. Switching the complete bowl with new flavor was $20, so obviously we ended up opting for that eventhough the 1st bowl/flavour was still good and just needed new coals.

There is also the perennial complaint of cost - but a dinner for three that included two drinks, three appetizers (one of which was bread which at this price point should be complementary, and anther a tomato salad), and two entrees should not be $180. The steamed dumplings were reasonably tasty, but the wrapper was too thick and I question the addition of corn. The duck breast was generally under-seasoned and bland, and the skin had not been fully rendered out. The biggest disappointment was the tuna nori - the strongest flavor was an off putting fish taste. The accompanying rice (jasmine and not short grain?) and bok choy both tasted like they had been cooked in nothing but butter. The view is nice, but I don't plan on dining here often.

The views and atmosphere are very pretty, and those are probably the best parts about dining here…read more We shared Brussels sprouts, duck breast, lemon bucatini, and an earl grey Panna cotta. The Brussels sprouts had good flavor but were undercooked. The duck breast had portions that were very raw (which is fine for me, but worth mentioning), but otherwise was good. The pasta was tasty but extremely different from what I expected; I did not pick up any hints of lemon, and the dish had more of a smoky flavor. The earl grey Panna cotta was good, and it had a nice subtlety to the flavor. I got a glass of the "village blush" wine, which was shockingly sweet, especially compared to the pepperiness of the aroma. (Perhaps this is something that is well-known to wine enthusiasts, but it caught me by surprise.)

The place is very cute inside with different seating areas, multiple bars and a closed in outdoor patio with heaters which is where my friends and I partied the night away. We arrived around 10 pm and the place was mostly empty, but as the hours passed, the place got packed! We attended on a Latin night and I actually loved the good mix of music - it was mostly Spanish music, but not all. I really liked how we did not have to pay for bottle service for a table, because most other places require it in order to have a seat or table. The drinks are fairly priced, however, the hookah was a whopping $42. So we opted out of that. Maybe that's how much the price is now but I remember back in the day paying $25 for a hookah. I had a great night out and definitely will return. Thank you for a great night, 46 Lounge!

Being used to places like Illusions at the Sheraton Mahwah as well as the Limelight and Webster Hall, the NYE advertisement made it far larger than it actually is. Paid $100 for open bar and buffet - which is super reasonable but we would have preferred a table but none were available. Getting drinks throughout the night was not a problem - always prompt and friendly. The buffet was actually quite good which included jumbo shrimp, sushi, Spanish food , Italian, and lots of appetizers which were pretty good. In the beginning, we thought it was a bad idea coming as it was quite empty at 8pm. By 10:30, it was quite busy and at 11:30, packed to the limit. They served midnight champagne, party favors, and were quite well staffed. The BIG issues.... It was open bar. So I probably had at least 12-15 drinks. I would be normally plastered for drinking so much (and I don't normally drink very much). I just wanted a slight buzz so that I would enjoy the constant dancing. I always saw them pour at least 1 shot of alcohol per drink. I wasn't even slightly buzzed or drunk for that matter. Leads me to believe they watered down the bottles. I can't prove anything but the fact we drank so much all night with no effects leads me to wonder. Second, with hundreds of people and 1 women's bathroom with 2 stalls, my wife was was holding it in instead of waiting for a 30 minute + line. In the end, we did enjoy the NYE party very much. $100 is pretty reasonable but with alcohol issues, I would skip the place if that is important yo you.
