One of the most creative dining experiences I have ever had. Delicious food! The Lodger also has a great community driven mission.

It's one of those places where you can immediately tell the owners care about both the food and the overall experience. The atmosphere is beautiful. The restaurant has a classy, Great Gatsby-inspired feel with elegant décor, plenty of space, and a spotless dining area. I loved the attention to detail, and the bar area is especially charming--it's the kind of place where you could easily stop in just for a glass of wine. We started with the hummus served with warm pita bread, and it was fresh, creamy, and full of flavor. The chicken empanadas were another favorite--crispy, flavorful, and served with fresh pico de gallo that complemented them perfectly. I also enjoyed a glass of wine, and it paired beautifully with the meal. What impressed me the most was the hospitality. My daughter wanted fries, even though they weren't on the menu, and the chef was kind enough to prepare a fresh order just for her. That thoughtful gesture meant so much and really showed how much they care about their guests. The service was exceptional. The chef came out to greet us, and our server was attentive, friendly, and made us feel right at home. Before we left, they mentioned they have live music on certain nights, which gave us yet another reason to come back. This is truly one of Beacon's hidden gems. Between the delicious food, beautiful atmosphere, outstanding service, and genuine hospitality, it's a place I'll happily recommend. We already know we'll be back!

My sister got the steak frites, and she enjoyed it. I got the falcon fries, which were absolutely delicious and mildly spicy, a perfect seasoning to them. I also got the Grandma Detroit Pizza. At first I wasn't sure if I was going to enjoy it because it was different, but after my first few bites, I fell in love. The bread was thick and quite crunchy, but it was tasty. And the spicy chili flake sauce was too good to pass on. It wasn't too spicy. The service was fantastic and kind. The waitress that served us was very kind and didn't disturb us when we were busy eating. The ambiance was very cozy and relaxing. It wasn't very loud when we were served, making conversations easier to make. And the warm lighting gave us good vibes. All in all, an amazing first time trying out the restaurant that left a very good impression on us.

My cousin lives…read morein Modena, so we had to check it out together initially, and I've gone back a few other times with friends. But, I've decided I'm not going back anymore. It's just too expensive. Honestly $25.00 for a burger and fries is just so unreasonable, and all of the sandwiches are about the same price. The cocktails are insanely expensive and the beer is exorbitantly priced. Here they are brewing the beer themselves - there's no "middle man" to pay, and I was charged $11.00 last time for a 10 ounce pour ! The poor value caused me to hold off on ordering a second serving. And then I just decided not to because it was a rip-off. Also, on my last experience, I ordered a flatbread pizza and it was not good at all. First of all, when you hear the word "flatbread", you're thinking something on the order of crust that is definitely no thicker than 1/2 inch, BUT, this "flatbread" was THICK like Sicilian style pizza and that's not what I wanted at all. I asked the server about it, and she confirmed "Yeah, that's just how the kitchen serves them." It was hard to eat. The crust was super crunchy (no chewiness at all like a thick bread should have) and all of the ingredients on top were falling off with every bite.

The atmosphere of the restaurant is beautiful and the ambiance was great. We had written on our reservation that we were celebrating a birthday, and it wasn't acknowledged by the restaurant at all which seemed weird. The food itself was pretty good, and our favorite was the cucumber salad we had. The pastas were pretty good, but our risotto leaned on the closer to saltier side. Service was ok, and having been to some higher end restaurants, I was hoping for a little better. Keep in mind the restaurant is also on the pricier side as well. The little shop next door was also cute, but again, pretty pricey. It had a cute assortment of items though so might be worth it for someone needing to grab something quick while staying close by.

Review for the restaurant - Excellent dining experience with truly memorable dishes…read more Ambience (5/5): Beautiful countryside setting with rustic-chic decor and sweeping mountain views. Food (5/5): Every dish was exceptional -- fresh ingredients, balanced flavors, and thoughtful presentation. Value (4/5): On the pricier side, but worth it for the quality and overall experience. Service (3/5): Server forgot to take everyone's order. The restaurant was also very busy on Sunday, and one dish didn't arrive until we asked -- likely missed by either the server or the kitchen.
