After years of being begged to try this place, I finally relented this year. It didn't disappoint. Everything is delicious. Service is attentive. The ambiance is great. The only issue I had was that my bread was rock hard on my first visit. I just assumed I'm uncultured. I didn't realize it wasn't supposed to be until I asked for seconds. Really great find close to legoland when looking for a great dining experience or classy bar. We've been two years in a row and great experience each time -- accommodating total party of 9 including kids on Saturday night same week. Ambience/atmosphere: dimly light chic but still approachable. Great Halloween decor. Very chic bar area. White table cloths. Waiters in sports coats. Interior does not match the external. Very surprising. Service: very approachable and not stuffy. Tons of waitstaff assistants despite main waiters sometimes being less absence. Goods news is they'll grab them if you ask or there's a question or request they can't attend to. Drinks come quickly. Kids food came almost immediately. Love the iPad menus. Gave us a burrata salad for free without asking when a dish was slightly messed up. Food: the pasta is a must. Make sure to hear the specials. Salumi and cheese board is large. All portions are large. Quality ingredients. Many legit Italian dishes. Refined but decadent. Veal, beef, and seafood are primo. Many vegetarian dishes enjoyed. Drinks: really well done diverse cocktails. The pumpkin martini sounds like a setup for failure but was well balanced, not too sweet, and refreshing. Old fashioned spins are always a hit. Great liquor and wine selection including great bottles at every price range. Price: may be pricey for New York State but a deal for fine dining and drinks outside a metro area. This was our second time here and it is still so good. Dining space is beautiful, intimate. We were seated right away and our server was nice and polite. We started with apps, calamari and the cheese salumi board for two. So delicious! Dinner had the fettuccine limóne pasta with jumbo shrimp, veal Provo , lasagna and frutta de mar marinara. We came to celebrate my brother's birthday and they brought us chocolate cake. He was very happy. Highly recommend coming. Brunch birthday celebration with the family. Beautiful restaurant. Love the decor, ambiance was very good with soothing music. Splendid service. Amazing food. The calamari were huge and delicious. I had the Chicken Limoncello which was also a delicious decent size dish. The dessert all to die for. I love all the dishes presentation, and the quality and comfort of the furniture. It was a great atmosphere even though we had the restaurant all by ourselves. I do recommend to try it at least once. read more

Maybe it was because it was a Tuesday, but for those prices it shouldn't make a difference. First of all, We've had better service in greasy diners. The way to maybe came to the table twice during the whole evening. To start the fried, calamari was the worst I've ever had. How can you mess up one of the simplest dishes going? The short rib was tender but was loaded with salt. The polenta was grainy like really bad breakfast cereal and my wife's filet was way overcooked. Unfortunately wait servers never came back to check on us. Sorry but it's a little too expensive and give another try. read more

My only issue is that the servings were large enough to take home and now that ive eaten those I want more..... Thanksgiving menu was wonderfully extensive for a price fix. My meal was excellent. Just had the best dinner here! The atmosphere, especially in the winter, is the perfect cozy vibe. Everything we tried was great. Highly recommend the filet mignon. Also do not skip out on the bread pudding if they have it for a dessert special! The service was amazing. We had the pleasure of having Adam as our server. It was a Monday afternoon and I was welcomed by the front staff and able to take a seat in a cozy corner near the bar. Love the ambience of this area. Rich velvety chairs and couches mixed with modern touches. I was impressed by the bartender who approached me while waiting in the lounge and kindly offered a drink. Seating: This year, I was seated in the Main dining room, a much better ambience than the room adjacent to the bar. Danny and Cary took very good care of the 3 of us during our Restaurant Week visit. Danny was such a gentleman and Cary was great fun even while scraping breadcrumbs off the white linens in between our next serving. Appetizers: Filet mignon croquettes and the caprese salad was a hit but I have always loved their fresh, warm crusty bread w a tomato pesto oil to dip into. I have to control myself so as not to spoil my dinner by getting too full on this. Where does this bread come from???!! Entree: I enjoyed the braised short ribs that was fall off the bone deliciousness with polenta and carrots. My friends had the fish and chicken cordon bleu. Also a big hit. The fish could've been hotter temperature wise for me but was enjoyed by my friend. The sauce for the chicken was so amazing I couldn't let it go to waste; crusty bread to the rescue. Dessert: Tiramisu and cheesecake were had and we were unable to finish it all. Portion sizes are generous enough to bring entrees home for a nice snack or tasting to share and the staff were happy to help us enjoy our evening there. Because of Restaurant Week, I have been here several times already. Always expect great service and delicious food, especially the appetizers and entrees. I have been here on a quiet Monday and jam packed Friday and Saturday. Never disappointed with the food. Recommend sitting in the main dining as the ambience and noise level is better. Came in for a celebration, so we were already in such a good mood. Everything from the service to the food was amazing! We shared a salad and calamari to start, calamari was fried perfectly definitely try the Thai chili sauce with this, sweet and spicy. For mains, I went with the Chicken Limoncello. The chicken was cooked amazing, the panko really made it. I could drink that lemon butter sauce everyday, soaked it up completely with extra bread. Delicious! My friend got the Fettuccine Limone, she said it was very tasty, shrimp was cooked very well. Wished there was a little more pesto but it was very good! read more

My wife enjoyed the lemon fettuccine with shrimp and I found the mushroom risotto perfectly creamy and delicious. The service is amazing. Just like service used to be in the old days. Real service, well, sort of. Sometimes the youngsters don't know quite how to behave. But it's about as close to real service, as you can get in Orange County. The food is very good, limited menu but the food is good. The whole atmosphere is wonderful. It's great for a birthday. You'd feel very special here. I highly recommend. If you can afford it for every day why not, otherwise do it as often as you can. read more

Went for Hudson Valley Restaurant Week and was disappointed...highest price for lunch of all the participating restaurants, menu has not changed for several years (spring salad on the fall menu), service was spotty and the food was so-so. Ambience is good. read more

First the service, we were a party of 5, one who is suffering from Stage 4 cancer and mobility is in an issue. They offered to set a table for us in the lobby, everyone opted for the dining room, a waiter and the bartender were a great help in getting up the steps. They were pleasant and very accommodating. The restaurant is beautiful and had remodeled since I was there last. As always, the food o Is incredible as always, from the baked clams to the gelato! While it's kind of pricey, it is well worth the cost. The waiter was very attentive and again assisted in helping my aunt great down the steps. I can't give this a good enough rating! read more
