This past Friday I met the guys from "New South Window Solutions of Sarasota" Brett the "Corporate Trainer" was training this "African" guy. Yes, I thought "Aussie", he corrected me. So, this it how it started: The old bait and switch! On Friday this guy's boss (Brett Ray, the corporate trainer) wrote a contract for 13K for the patio door replacement. They made a mistake on the contract, they forgot to include the discounts (the discounts weren't applied, yet the contract showed the total being $13421.00 for 6/8 French doors, hurricane rated.) On Monday the trainee returned. To make a long story short he raised the price up 10K to a total of 23K. The sales guys said it was because the opening was 96X72, so therefore would cost more. The original contracted clearly stated 6/8 which is, let's do the math: 6X12=72 8X12=96. Nothing changed except them raising their price. Henry was Johnny-on-the-spot with responding to our initial request and clearly explained his part of our extensive lanai expansion, including the cage replacement we would need. Henry and his team went above and beyond in coordinating with the paver company, and they did a great job keeping our new decking free of metal filings and other debris throughout the process. If only every team of workers were as collaborative and communicative--not only with each other, but with the customer! That kind of coordination and professionalism really stood out to us. SIDE NOTE: Literally the day after completion, a "severe thunderstorm" blew through--and our cage is still standing! We actually watched the panoramic screen support bow in the strong winds. No doubt we'll call Henry for reassurance, but we're confident they stand behind their work and will make sure the framing remains sound and secure. We had to act as project managers just to get the work corrected. * Unprofessional behavior in our home. Employees complained about us, mocked our requests, and admitted themselves they "couldn't believe" the state of the work. * Payment bait-and-switch. We chose this company because they promised full credit card payment with no fee. They changed policy mid-project and refused to honor the agreement. When we escalated to management and even the owner, we were brushed off and told no refund or adjustment would be given. They did finish the work, but only after we managed the project and audited their work for an extra 8 months. Save yourself the stress, time, and money -- hire someone else.

Initially the sales and service dept were great. They were helpful and accommodating. The issue we…read morehad was with the product. We had our front double door replaced and they recommended Advisar brand. We had the inside painted white and exterior a beautiful faux mahogany wood grain. Within a year the exterior trim cracked on both doors. They replaced it. Within a year it happened again, they replaced it, and once more, within a year it cracked and they replaced it. That was 3 door replacements in 3 years. Finally a Rep from the brand came out and told us the dark mahogany paint on the exterior attracts heat (we live in Florida and the door gets direct sun) so the heat ends up cracking the plastic trim. The manufacturer suggested a white exterior as that reflects heat. At that point Sash and Sill refused to work with us anymore and the manufacturer is the one that installed our 4th set of doors with a white exterior. So far, so good. What was frustrating is that I had asked Sash and Sill if we could change the exterior to white, (2 doors in) as I knew the heat was causing the issue. However they refused to make that change and insisted on the same door (which again was an issue). So they sold a product that had issues, and kept replacing it with the same flawed product, with the same issues, even though I had requested a change. It took the manufacturer to finally make the change and install it as Sash and Sill refused to install it a 4th time. It's a shame as we did like them.

THAT is how you treat your customers if you want to get referrals and good references.
