So thought I would enjoy some Cajun seafood. Nice place, clean and friendly. I ordered the cod. I told server I am diabetic may I substitute something else for the fried. Only sweet potato fries. Same thing can not have them. So I ordered a side of coleslaw for $2.99. Looked really good one bite and I had to send back. Way too sweet. What I got for $11.99 was four fifty cent size or somewhat smaller fish nuggets and a basket of fries. I could only eat the nuggets. I went away hungry. The server did not seem to care that was the nuggets were the only thing I ate. Never was checked on by other servers or management. Probably will not go back. Although messy and slightly over-seasoned, the food was decent. However, WAY overpriced. The server told us we could make substitutions to the meals, but failed to mention that it was a $14 upcharge on four of the meals. Final bill ended up being over $300 for five people (and only five drinks). Manager offered 10% off bill next time we come in. Will not be back at these prices. read more

Just celebrated my husband's birthday here. Because there's eight of us, the server automatically charged us a gratuity of 43 something dollars. But he handed my husband another receipt that says " tip " on it. My husband, not knowing they already charged us with a tip, gave a tip of 55 dollars. The server was very dishonest, and didn't even say a thing, and just accepted another tip. This is cheating y'all . Plus the service was very lousy. It's not like when they first opened. The servers when they first opened were very accommodating, lively, attentive to the customer's needs. This time, I have to look around for our server just to get something done. So I went back to the restaurant to get my money back into our card. The manager said, they don't have the capability of returning our money back to our card . Ate at restaurant wife and neighbor. All of us had eaten a late lunch elsewhere, so weren't into ordering large bag o seafood. My wife ordered calamari and I ordered gator. Our neighbor ordered shrimp with salad. The calamari was a frozen package tough with too much breading, being passed off as fresh. My gator wasn't fresh either. Had very little taste. Our neighbors shrimp she said was very mediocre and was not fresh. The waiter spoke so fast you couldn't understand what he was saying. Needless to say, we're one and done at this place! read more

We are Cajuns from New Orleans and Cajun country. This is not cajun boil. It was soaked in butter! That's why they provide bibs and gloves. That's goes against our heritage! The last time we ate here on a Sunday lunch and it took an hour from the time we ordered to receive our food. This was months ago. We thought we would give it another try yesterday 3/31/19 at supper time. It took 45 minutes to receive our food. The place was not very crowded. My Dad loves seafood, so we brought him here for dinner. We drove from Smyrna to get there, waited almost an hour, and ended up so disappointed. All four of us got our food at different times. My husband and Mom were almost done eating when my Dad and I got our food. We had to ask for items that should be standard like silverware, salt (which was given to us in packets), crackers for oysters, etc. My order was incorrect. The server told me he would bring the missing scallops and to keep eating what I had. After 5 minutes, he came back to the table and told me he had to take my food and that he would be back. He did not bring it back for 15 minutes. By that point everyone else was done eating. The process of eating out of a bag with no plate is disgusting. We knew it came in a bag, but had no idea they didn't give you a plate to put it on. I had butter all the way past my wrists, all while everyone else was done eating. The floors were soaking wet and the bathroom floors were also. Gross, disappointing experience. We will not be back. read more

Today was my first and last time eating at the storming crab in Madison, Tennessee. Being my first time dining there I was unfamiliar with their menu and pricing. My waiter offered no information and I was allowed to order 3x as much food than I could eat. As another waiter explained to the patrons behind me how the menu worked I immediately stopped him and explained the mistake asking for a smaller portion than what I had ordered. He promptly told me that the lunch hours were over and that I would just have to take it home with me, adding that they had many ways of carryout. He then proclaimed that the food would taste better after it had sat awhile and walked away. In hindsight I should've called for the manager but I instead begrudgingly ate what I could and grew angrier as I thought about the bill. I finally left with 2.5 pounds of food and 54.00 poorer. Once home I called the restaurant and spoke with the manager to no avail. He stated that since I said nothing at the time of the incident and took the food when I left them there was little he could offer me with the exception of 10% off my next visit. There won't be a next visit. I was fully willing to pay half the total but he wouldn't even consent to that. I wonder how many more people they've swindled in this way. Fix your damn menu! read more
