Our server was super kind, he had just moved from Florida so it was nice to know we are from the same place! For appetizers, I tried the fried pickles (not pictured) they were way too salty. We also had the creole seafood dip which was amazing! I went with the steamed shrimp, with Cajun sauce. It also came with potatoes, corn, and I added sausage for $4. The way it came out was different than other seafood boils I've had. The boil came out plain with the sauce on the side. I thought this was going to affect the flavor but it did not and it was so good! Overall we had a great time, they were very accommodating. I would return.

The waitress were super nice, I thought the drinks took a bit but nothing outrageous and they were good. Thats the extent of the two stars. The menu looked great but was very disappointing. I was craving a boil so I got the shrimp boil. I got shrimp the were not cleaned and butter on the side. I asked if they normally don't clean the shrimp and they let me know that was normal practice, well not for me. The didn't charge us so that helped with their two stars. My husband had some chicken dish (voodoo chicken) with balsamic drizzle that tasted like water, not sure how but it did. I dont know how anyone gave this place more than 3 stars at most.

We ordered the salmon with citrus sauce, sweet potato fries, green beans, mahi wrap with fries, jambalaya, eggs Benedict with fried green tomatoes, Canadian bacon topped with lump crab cream sauce which is called Eggs Dalton. All the food was delicious and exquisitely prepared. Our server was wonderful and so helpful with suggestions. We will definitely come back to meet up here again. I stopped counting after 100. The sauce was good, I could really get the tang of the tomato base. The shrimp were juicy as well My mom and sister got the steak cooked well. They said it was cooked perfect and the okra were crispy. The sweet tea was definitely sweet and tea might have needed to boil for a bit longer. We ended up having to wait for the ice to melt down to be able to drink it with all the sugar. I'd like to go back to check out more menu options. Also, the service was great. Probably some of the best service I've experienced in a restaurant

I found myself near their weekend restaurant in Santa Fe and placed an order to bring home. Crawfish & Shrimp Étouffée...one of their signature dishes and my absolute favorite. The dish is rich, savory, and you can see the butter creaminess of the dish. The "Holy-Trinity" is plentiful and still maintains its bite. Filled with crawfish along with large shrimp and rice...this meal is the epitome of Cajun cuisine. Christy took excellent care of me and while this is an hour away, I will be back!

We were seated within 10 minutes. The trouble started from there. We waited for 10 minutes to order our drinks, then waited for 15 minutes to receive our water. Knowing beforehand that this place takes a little longer, we went ahead and put our food order in. We then waited for 1 1/2 hours with no food. Not only that, we were checked on *once* in that time period. We finally left, after no word on our food. I understand it's all part of the experience and that there is usually a wait, but the lack of communication and the service level were horrible. 4 hours after we left our house, we ate fast food burgers on our way home.

There is cross-contamination -- but I am able to have it. It's so rare to find gluten free fried foods, especially seafood!! The food was not only good, it was GREAT!! Everything was delicious! Shrimp was crispy and slightly sweet, some of the best I've had inland! Red beans and rice was so smokey and had a bit of sweetness to it, oh buddy it was great! On top of that, everyone was super nice. Guy who seated us was rlly friendly, girl who waited on us was SO helpful with answering my questions! We ended up with beignets that my husband said were the best he's had outside of NOLA. We got to meet the owner on our way out and he seems like someone who has a real passion for what he does. The decor was nice too - very on brand! It feels cozy in there, and everyone seemed to know each other - felt like a sweet little community spot. Staff is great and helpful. I had a beer but the star of this dinner is definitely the food! I went with the Half & Half combo (since I had so much trouble deciding..) Shrimp Po Boy and the Étouffée. Po Boy was outstanding. Lots of shrimp, cooked perfectly with a green crunchy breading. I went with Remoulade and it was good compliment to the Shrimp and accoutrements. The bun was what you would hope for, crunchy exterior, nice soft interior. It was also very large, not sure if I could have handled a full size Po Boy! Étouffée was also great, full of good flavors and I had to bring most of this home. It was great the next day as the flavors really settled into the rice. I sampled some of the other dishes that friends had and found them all to be really well flavored. Not overly spicy but nicely seasoned to give a great experience. So I was too full to finish the Étouffée, but I managed to find room to sample the Bread Pudding. I'm not normally a bread pudding fan, but this has me rethinking that decision entirely. So so Good! Overall great experience, great food and plenty of reasons to return to try more of the offerings!

I especially love it when simplicity and genuine passion is served, not just presentation. Anyway, to start off - this market, and it's a market, not quite a restaurant. When my friend and I stopped in, there was one table, four chairs. Since we were there late, we were able to sit and dine in. Sitting and eating there allowed us to chat with Kojo - the owner. Learning not just about the market but his history and his passion for what he does. Switching gears again - the market is in a huge shopping plaza. Lots of parking. And free. As for the food - see the pics. Dinner pics is mixed in with what was left in the market. I can't even begin to explain how much I enjoyed the flavors of the dishes he made on the spot for us. As we were there late in the day, most of the popular dishes were sold out however, he made a few suggestions, even two that were off the menu and made it to order. When we were there, it was a one man operation. So he was also our host and server. If you couldn't tell - service was excellent. Chatting about food. About seafood. About the beginning of Gulf Port. And about life in general. This is one of those places, that if I lived there - I'd frequent the place just because of him. It's just too bad that me going there requires a plane ticket and a five or so hour flight. But, also know this - next time I fly into Nashville, I'll make my way to Hermitage and have more delicious, fresh seafood.

**April 2025: Saturday Evening Visit**…read more My friend and I wanted to eat somewhere in the Hermitage area since that's where we were staying and Gulf Port Seafood had really high ratings, which were 100% well deserved. I should preface this by saying that Gulf Port is a seafood market first and that they have one table (4 chairs) so you can dine-in - but space is limited. Kojo, the restaurant owner, has both raw and hot options for patrons to enjoy. We came pretty late on a Saturday so many of his popular items (gumbo and lobster roll) were sold out, but we decide to try his other offerings which were delicious. We ordered the 2 orders of Cajun Crawfish Roll (methinks $15?), Seafood Mac & Cheese (methinks $20?) and Shrimp and Grits ($20? maybe) and all were made to order and brought to our table in a timely manner. The Cajun Crawfish Rolls came out first (I guess one order is given two rolls) and we demolished it. The toasted bun had a nice char, but was fluffy on the inside and the cajun sauce gave the crawfish nice flavor. We devoured this and were really impressed with the item. Next the Seafood Mac and Cheese came our as well as the shrimp and grits. The Mac and Cheese had such a great blend of cheeses and the noodles were cooked al dente. The grits on the shrimp and grits were scrumptious - not mushy at all and the shrimp was cooked through. Everything tasted very comforting and the prices are very reasonable! Overall, this was definitely a highlight meal of my Southern States travels and the next time I'm back in Nashville I hope to try the gumbo and lobster roll!
