Wow, amazing experience all around!!! We were warmly greeted by Josh upon arriving and he helped me decide what to order. I got the kids catfish meal with spaghetti and fruit tea. I absolutely love Bones fish and more. Service is always friendly and the food is delicious like it is made with pure love and family tradition. The catfish sandwich is my favorite. Their fries are delicious, the Cole slaw (creamy sweet), and don't pass up the spaghetti (it's on the sweeter side and peppery, which I like). I recently got the caramel cake and it is so fluffy and fresher baked with melt in your mouth icing. The fruit tea is great to wash it all down with. Don't pass up this place. Listen y'all, let me tell you about the perfect little spot. I visited Bones drive through because I noticed the fish sign and got a good giggle out of how cute it was and decided to give the place a go... every single person in this restaurant was so kind to me. I didn't have a clue what the menu was like or what I wanted and the gal at the drive window was so sweet and talked me through the whole thing, building a DELICIOUS catfish sandwich with a side of spaghetti and some hushpuppies. The whole meal was hot, fresh, and so so sooo good! Food prep took a little longer than what you will get in most drive through style places, but that's because we are all so used to fast food. A little wait here was entirely worth it because I knew I was receiving truly homemade and made to order, delicious cooking. When the food was delivered to my car, a different lady walked it to my door and said "this is your first time in, huh? We're so happy you came by, come back and see us again." This is service you just don't get in a big city. I came from a small town and this is the local family style vibe that I grew up knowing. It's been a few years since I been here. That said, the food is still just a good. The catfish was fried just right. The spaghetti and slaw were both on point. It even came with a drink and I chose fruit tea. The fruit tea was good too! The service was great, which is definitely something I'm big on for takeout. So I've been wanting to try this place for 8 years. I don't even have an explanation on why it took so long to try Bone's Fish & More. I was browsing on UberEats to order from my favorite Chinese restaurant and I came across Bone's Fish & More. I was skeptical about ordering fried fish for delivery, but what the hell you only live once! I ordered the catfish combo with spaghetti and coleslaw. I also ordered a fruit tea and a slice of strawberry cake to cure my sweet tooth. My fried fish was hot, fried crispy like I like it, and seasoned just right. I don't eat everybody's spaghetti, but their spaghetti was almost better than mines lol. The spaghetti had a hint of sweetness that I love. The fruit tea wasn't full of sugar like most. Another hole in the wall that now has my heart! I stopped by here after seeing a pic of the catfish sandwich looking extra yummy! It's a very small shop and you'll definitely miss it if you aren't looking for it. I placed my order at the drive thru window for the catfish sandwich combo (highly recommend). It was raining and a couple cars were in front of me but it moved quickly. Maybe a total of 15 minutes all together. Next time I will probably call ahead to avoid the wait. I couldn't even wait til I got home to eat it lol. The catfish was bussin!!! The catfish was fried just the way I like it. The coating wasn't clunky or thick. It was a golden brown on the outside and still juicy and cooked to perfection on the inside. I should've gotten two sandwiches lol! Just tried this place yesterday after passing by it for years. It was so delicious! Everything was seasoned perfectly and was got & fresh. I did call ahead to order and I'm glad I did! There was a line of cars waiting for their food. I pulled up to the window, paid and was handed my food. I do wish they had tarter sauce though. I had the catfish plate with fries, baked beans and potato salad. I got fruit tea to drink and it's so good! I also got the peach cobbler which was amazing! Loved it! I did notice that the prices have gone up a little bit from the pictures posted on here so I took a picture of the menu. Also their phone number has changed. So today, my colleague and I decided to go today to try their fried fish. Earlier in the week, she had mentioned that she was looking for a really good place for fried fish. I proceeded to search my favorite site (Yelp) for all local businesses that was near by. Bones.... good reviews, good pictures. We decided to give it a chance. Yes they are pretty good. The owners were very nice and courteous. We sat on their small patio while we waited for our lunch. Everything was homemade. Even the Lemonade was homemade and soooooooo good. Stopped by on a whim today and let me break it down: That fried catfish was everything. I had to wait for a while, but that means I got fresh food versus him filling my plate from a behind-the-register buffet. Works for me. The catfish though... so hot I had to slow down, but so good I didn't want to. I ate half the piece of fish and switched over to my sides. The spaghetti was a perfect side for those who've already indulged in the catfish and spaghetti phenomenon. If you haven't, this is the one to try. The recipe is designed to be a side dish and complement, not override, the fish. Which it does spectacularly. Now, back to the catfish. I let the other half sit while I ran into a quick meeting. When I came back out, it was cold but STILL GOOD!! Almost as good as the piping hot version. Two different tastes, but both versions were outstanding. Bottom line: go. If they're closed, go back. Or sit outside and wait on them to come in and make you a plate of the good stuff. I'll be back to try that caramel cake. And to get more catfish. read more

Bone's has taught me to get over myself already - great food can be found in what is essentially a tiny plywood box, even in the dining destination desert of South Nashville bordering Antioch. My fiance called and asked if we could call our lunch order in recently (since as other reviewers have mentioned, the wait can be long) - no problem. I had a bad cold and was in the mood for something spicy to allow me a little breathing relief. He asked for a suggestion, since there are no menus posted online, and the server suggested their hot wings. The wings are quite spicy and slightly sweet - possibly from honey. They're served with white bread and ranch dressing and even through my cold, I could taste every bit of them. The place is small and gives a family vibe, the employees made sure I was well taken care of and that I understood the menu. They even thanked me for giving them a try. Still excellent fried southern fish. But it's missing an important ingredient: sauce. The place uses simple mustard or hot sauce, but it desperately needs a tartar or mayo based sauce to accompany the excellent fish. The fish itself is delicious, but the sandwich feels [slightly] lacking and dry without some sort of sauce. read more
