Anyone considering storing items at storquest, take my advice and don't do it I have been a faithful customer for 3 yrs always paying my monthly fee on time. Before it was changed to store quest my storage was broke into 2 times but since I didn't have insurance I was S.O.L. the next month I was told I was required to pay for insurance Since then my rent for a 5x10 unit went from 110. To 155.00 The employees seem sketchy and the corp. Office ups the rent without a reason. So my advice fine another storage facility if you want to keep our stuff. ! The facility is always clean, the staff are very welcoming and competent, and the gate hours are convenient for me. It's also very easy to access my unit because the elevators are large and work well, and the halls are wide. We leased our unit a couple years ago and each year they raise our rent by 30%. An outrageous amount. I can understand raising the rent by 10% or even 15% but 30% is unbelievably obscene. Be aware of this when you think you're getting a good deal. It isn't like they offer any kind of services of any kind. It's just a space. This company has grown in the last few years. Horrible experience.i came after making a reservation and there was nobody in the premise.The sign said to come back in 30 minutes and left and came back after I paid over the phone.When I got there after I paid they said there were no elevators and that I had to use the stairs. The place was dirty and smelly. I don't recommend,they made me wait one hour from the time I came the first time until he wrote back and forth to his boss to see if I can get a refund.Totall disgrace that they don't even tell you the elevator is always broken read more

The biggest take away from my review. THE CONTRACT YOU SIGN IS MONTH 2 MONTH. The business model of these storage unit facilities is to have you move all of your stuff in the storage but never tell you that the contract is month to month or tell you that the prices will go up. The prices are preprogrammed at month 3 and month 9-11 to double in price. The first price increase is about 20%, the second price increases is around 80-90%. My theory is that they do this for the first month to test if you will move your stuff out based on ethics. And if you dont, they really ramp up the pricing later in that year. PLEASE BE AWARE, YOU MUST GET A CONTRACT OF LENGTH OR THIS WILL HAPPEN TO YOU. ITS THEIR WHOLE BUSINESS MODEL. Imo its completely unethical because they tell you its based on demand. But they lie because you can prepay in advance and the prices are already preprogrammed for you to see the increases. read more

While customer service was really good in renting us the storage unit, I am extremely disappointed with a significant price increase not even 3 months after signing a contract. We moved out of a house, and into an apartment, and rented a large storage unit for about $331/month (incl. insurance). 2 weeks ago, we got a notice via e-mail that they are increasing our monthly storage cost to $436/month (incl. insurance). That's nearly a 32% increase! Had these prices been in effect when we rented the storage unit, we'd likely have gone elsewhere. Instead, we underwent a significant undertaking in moving out of our house, even getting movers to help us get larger stuff to the storage unit, and now are faced with a decision to suck it up and pay an extra $105 per month, or spend significant time / effort and more cost in changing to another storage facility. Additionally, I've e-mailed them twice with absolutely no response. This 100% feels like deceptive business practices, and I have a hard time believing the intention was to not lock us in at a lower cost, and then raise prices. So disappointed and upset. Be very aware before signing up with them. read more

At the time of my rental I was assured that there would be no significant increases and increases would at most be limited to a few percent per year. Being used to deal with ethical companies I fell for that but please be aware. They will get you settled in for 3 months and then start squeezing. read more

I actually liked this place a lot and would recommend to anyone looking for a storage space. It felt safe and the hours were easy. I got set up and got my unit in no time after a short visit there. When I didn't need it anymore (2 years later), I simply emptied it and that was it! They sent me an email to confirm that I was moved out and were super courteous. It was the simplest transactions ever! The price was comparable to all others. I did have a few increases during my time there, which was a let down as the price kept going up from an originally great price. read more

Multiple vehicles damaged and site robbed. Probably connected to the homeless encampments outside the gate. Spoke with the staff there and they don't care. One of our neighbors said it took 4 days for the staff to call to tell them their vehicle had been robbed and damaged. Homeless encampments next to school as well. ODs, woman screaming and chasing people with a knife, fires from the encampments. Again the staff didn't care. We have moved out. read more

This is an example of big business buying out all the small good storage facilities trying to control the market and up in the price and customer service goes to the crapper. Absolutely terrible experience. My unit was broken into. And I'm having to sue to get my belongings that were to be insured covered. Do not waste your time coming to this facility. They try to rope you in and then price hike every 3 months. Every month the bill is a little more by just a few dollars and the staff can't explain why. Hello. Just before the Holiday season 2019, I needed storage on short notice. StorQuest was ready and available. The staff worked with me to assist with a quick move. Clint and Cynthia are friendly and resourceful. They provided me with great suggestions regarding the size of the unit that I needed. I've never had a storage unit in my life. But my condo complex is doing some repairs and we had to clear our balconies of all furniture. With nowhere to store mine, I started looking into storage solutions and found StorQuest. I called in and made a reservation and the woman who helped me was great about answering questions. On my move in day, Clinton was there and he was fantastic. It turns out we had to switch spaces to accommodate my things and he was able to get me a similar deal. Clinton was great about walking me through everything and answering my questions. The place is very well maintained and well lit, and I feel totally comfortable going there and comfortable knowing my belongings are there. read more

Worst experience ever, do not use this place. I have been a renter of space at this location for 3 years and recently moved to a larger unit. On my first month rent on the larger unit, they charged an extra fee and locked me out of my unit for $10 (3% of the rental fee) after they received the full rent payment. The manager, Dave was not helpful and demanded payment of the $10 before he would remove the locks for the storage unit. This is totally unreasonable to take the $340 rent and then preclude access to my personal property until the collected another $10...REALLY, 10 DOLLARS...TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE...I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS STORAGE FACILITY\ response from the manager: Please refer to Section 5 / Subsection A & Subsection G, and Section 7 under Self Storage Rental Agreement within your Lease Agreement below, which specifies all units are subject to a late fee 11 days past it's initial due date, all units are overlocked until the unit is made current in full, and until then all access is restricted. Partial payments like the check, as stated in Section 5-G, do not grant the account amnesty from these policies, the account needing to be made full before releasing the unit. These policies (i.e. late fees, overlocking, and requiring full payment) are shared among a majority of the storage facilities across the US. read more

Ownership of Flowood,MS storage facility recently transferred to StorQuest. Since the transfer, there have been nothing but problems with StorQuest Website account login, acceptance of a valid Credit Card, and setting up on-line monthly recurring payments. I'm almost believing these issues are intentional to generate customer late fees. For the upcoming month, I am being charged an additional $1 as a fee to cover the mailing of a standard monthly invoice !!!! Simply, not trustworthy. I'm a veteran storage facility user. I've used them all. Most of my past experiences with storage facilities has been okay to good. My experience with StorQuest Playa Vista was excellent based on cleanliness, accessibility and knowledgeable, cool friendly staff. Clinton took the time to give me all the pros and cons of each available unit based on price size etc. He seems to be a pro at customer service. I think this is a great location. I had some trouble a while back where I had left behind some items that I had taken out of storage. Clint and Victoria in the office spotted my items and were able to alert me that I had left them behind. I was able to return and get those items which I needed for my clients and it saved me a huge headache. I can tell you that the staff care about their job and make an effort to know who is coming and going , Who belongs and doesn't, And make sure that when the elevator gets out of commission that they have backup plans and make sure that people know about them. This is a great place to do business. If this location could give you a High 5 it would but since the actual building can't make sure you visit Clint for one. read more

I've been with this company for over four years. The cleanliness and professionalism is outstanding. Both are non-climate controlled and climate controlled signs are always well taken care of and there is significant space to utilize going back-and-forth from your unit to your car or truck for business or personal use. Very grateful for these folks. Highly recommended storage unit. You may pay a little more, but the security, the professionalism, the cleanliness, all of it is well worth it. storquest selfstorage does not deserve any star. Its service is horrible. They claim access to your rented storage is from 6 am to 6 pm. But when you get there the gates are close. You call them they will tell you to wait until the office opens at 9 am. If you complain they will defend their company to high heavens and not care about their customers. But they are very efficient in collecting your rent money. They do not care to inform customers about issues of the gates not opening. If customers wish to access your storage before 9 am it is not possible because gates are closed. What a service! Find other storage that cares! read more

Storquest on Sawtell is an outstanding well-run service oriented business just West of the 405 Freeway. It seems businesses are less inclined to be concerned and helpful with consumer's needs these days. But to the contrary, his self storage business is staffed with smart capable business people. From Manager Victoria Guzman who helped us with a fairly minor problem (but not to us). Then turned it over to a young man, Assistant Manager Gabriel Becerra who helped us gain entrance to our long term unit after we lost the key. I just felt my problem was important to them. Don't get me wrong. In February 2019 I was thrilled to find this place. I thought my past horrible experience with the storage industry in Los Angeles was a fluke. This storage facility is great. But, recent developments are extremely disappointing. The facility is good, staff great, with reasonable rates. But one of the main reasons I chose this facility was that they had access hours until 10pm. After being there only a few months they changed the access hours twice. The first time moving the hours up to 8pm. Today I received notice that they will now move access hours to 6pm. What about those of us that work until 6pm? I called the corporate office and was told to call management for the location and then hung up on twice. I called on-site management and am told that it is corporate that made the decision. Meanwhile, this has brought a whole new level of stress into my life as I will yet again need to re-locate my stuff. It's utterly exhausting. read more

I reserved a parking space to rent, one week in advance. They called me to remind me the next day, etc. I called the day before, to confirm my reservation, before I went to sign the contract. When I showed up to sign up for the rental, the guy at the desk says: "We have to move all the vehicles on April 1st." I said I wasn't going to be around to move the vehicle and why didn't they tell me yesterday, when I called. He said that corporate just decided that and that they don't always tell them right away. Well, corporate has their priorities all messed up. If you go there to rent, especially parking, ask lots of questions. I went elsewhere, for a much better deal. read more

StorQuest failed to honor their quoted price for the first two months, which required numerous phone calls and esculation to resolve. Then their bait and switch low price ceased on month three,. My monthly rate was increased by over 30%, "because of high demand." However, the majority of units at StorQuests did not have locks on them, i.e. they were empty with no clients. We recently found out that the seller has requested a "Lease Back" option to be included in both our formal offer, and incorporated within their escrow. Upon entering the office of Storquest, my girlfriend and I were promptly and pleasantly greeted by Lucy, followed by her colleague. In short, we entered the office at StorQuest filled with anxiety and apprehension, but largely due to Lucy's compassion, understanding, and unbridled professionalism, I am happy to announce, my girlfriend and I exited StorQuest Playa Vista not only as customers, but utterly and completely transformed by Lucy's bubbly, whimsical and brilliant personality. We just finished moving all of our stuff out of 3 large storage rooms that we rented from Storquest-Playa Vista for 9 months. They were a pleasure to work with from beginning to end with no suprises. Renu Kaur the property manager is very professional and very efficient and always pleasent to work with. They have a person named Aaron who is always there and helps out with any little thing you may need. He keeps the facilities very clean and maintained. Aaron is very polite and you feel safe there if you have to go to your storage room every now and then, because you know Aaron is some where around there keeping an eye out. I cleared a couple of our homes out over the past few years, one for a renovation and one for a loss. I needed climate controlled due to all the art and fragile's items I'd need to store for up to 5 years. Both times I've moved into the space, "Aaron", the handyman (etc) has been there to help us with EVERYTHING. We've moved 2 homes in, out, dumped, consolidated into less units, then smaller units, and both Aaron and the management have been amazing. I dont know if every storage has an Aaron, but if they dont... they should. It doesnt get cleaner, safer, or friendlier than storequest on Jefferson. 5 Stars! read more

I only needed storage for three days while doing home repair and I signed up for a one month service and literally gave them my termination notice the same day I signed up so that I wouldn't have any fees after 30 days. Two months later I received a collection call. After telling them they had a mistake they admitted it was an error and they had no basis to send me to collection. They apologized only after I confronted them but what about the people that don't know their rights and just pay up when getting a baseless collection call? Avoid this place. UPDATE: received a call from the manager apologizing for the error. While I don't understand how a former customer gets sent to collection when they have paid and terminated their account, the service offered by Storquest was otherwise efficient and professional, and the location was clean and easily accessible. read more
