We moved to Fox Run in November of 2018, and I can honestly say that it is one of the best decisions we have ever made. There are so many things to do here. There are approximately 180 clubs and groups to get involved with. Whatever your interests are, you will find some others that share your interests. The amenities here include an indoor pool, an onsite medical center, 2 fitness centers, physical/occupational therapy, a hobby shop, and 6 restaurants, you can always find great food to eat here. There is independent living, assisted living, as well as skilled nursing and memory care. During the pandemic they took fantastic care of us. We had meals and mail delivered to our apartment door; we were able to get all the vaccines we needed without going outside. We were fortunate to find Maple Manor as a place where he could do his rehab with the care of an excellent staff over-seeing him 24/7. We were at Maple Manor for almost 3 straight months and we can't say enough positive things. The nurses were consistently knowledgeable, helpful and extremely kind to my father. At no point, did we ever see anyone "having a bad day" and taking it out on my father. They were the utmost professionals. The nurses were very intelligent, always had a smile on their face and consistently made sure my father was comfortable and happy. I should also note that they were always nice and welcoming to my mother who stayed with my father every day. The physical therapists and occupational therapists are also top notch. Not only were they kind and patient, but they did great work with my father. I can't recommend them enough. The staff at the facility were always accommodating and went out of their way to make sure my father's needs were taken care of. Whether it was people at the back office, front desk or the janitorial staff, everyone did a wonderful job. Any time we had a suggestion or complaint it was immediately addressed. Finally, Dr. JJ and Dr. Stella were amazing to work with. They really treated my parents like extended family. Thank you so much to everyone at Maple Manor. Three full meals a day are served in the homey dining room by caring culinary staff. Each meal consists of gourmet style food served to each resident seated at linen-covered tables with centerpieces of fresh flowers. Also provided are Life Activities daily - crafts, games, exercise, sitting outside in warm weather, music including greater Community members leading songfests almost daily. Once a week outings to local attractions and restaurants take the residents into the greater Novi area - parks, ice cream shops, cafes, etc. The concierge staff is friendly and helpful. The building is clean and well maintained. My mother was a resident for 7 years. Members of our family visited her or called her at least 6 times a week when she was in Assisted Living and almost daily when she was in Memory Care. I became familiar with the staff and administration and the routines and we worked together to take care of Mom. A person with dementia requires patience and understanding and alot of interaction. My grandmother is residing at this boarding home/assisted living facility, which is a privately…read moreowned family business. It is usually only convenient for me to visit my grandmother on my 2 days off. Everyone understands what it is like to be busy, and at times have to eat on the go. One of the first visits there I brought a gyro sandwich. The owner that day brought me a plate for my food and asked me if I needed utensils. I assumed that eating in my grandmother's room was acceptable, I even asked if it was ok to eat BEFORE she offered me a plate. Another visit I had with my father present, there was a misunderstanding about face masks. Initially I was told that this was not necessary, but the second owner requested we wear them. Ok no big deal, but then it turned into I was in the wrong for eating in her room, ok no big deal either. I won't eat in her room going forward. The most recent visit, I brought food for my grandma and myself. My grandma was sleeping when I arrived. The only employee present when I arrived was an Italian woman, who does not speak English well. I asked her if it was ok to eat at the kitchen table, or if I should eat in my car (because of the discrepancy of eating in her room). She pointed at a seat at the kitchen table. I assumed that it was ok to eat in the kitchen at that point. I thought maybe it just wasn't ok to eat in the bedroom. An hour goes by, and my grandma is still sleeping. I decided to run an errand and come back in hopes that she would be up from her nap by the time I got back. As I was leaving, I informed the owners that since my grandma has been sleeping since I arrived at 1. Not even 10 minutes later, I get a call from one of the owners, the woman (the owners are a married couple). Again, I had just talked to them and let them know that I was returning in a few. The owner addressed me in a rude manner and started complaining about me eating at the kitchen table. Ok! Unfortunately, again, one of her employees doesn't speak English well, but when you ask someone if it is ok to eat at the table, and they point to a chair, one can assume that this was acceptable. Then she proceeds to tell me that she told my aunt that "visits are to be 30-45 minutes in length. If I were to have visitors stay as long as they wanted, I would always have a full house". Isn't that why you make visiting hours??? Even prisoners are entitled to hour long visits, and I drive a half hour to see my loved one for 30-45 minutes? Don't run a business out of your house, if you feel this way. BEYOND that, the visiting hours are 10-6. What she was trying to do, limit my grandma's visits, is ILLEGAL. Any resident of a nursing home has the RIGHT to visitors! You better believe I contacted my lawyer on this matter, and he told me that if I had to get through any more road blocks, to call him immediately. I wish I could sue their asses! My grandma is gone now :) so no need!!!! Beyond the legal issue, what kind of place does not encourage having loved ones present and spending time with the people who need them? My grandma is 90 years old. How much time do I have left? She has the right to visitors. I was kicked out and told never to come back because I said that it was BS that they have such a short window to see my grandma. No compassion, no empathy, no concern for my grandmother if they would disallow me from seeing her. And yep, it is BS, just like the place. $5,000 a month they get from my family, to feed her horrible food, shower her two times a week (now 3 because we had to ask), and to pop in for less than hour! Disgusting place, disgusting money hungry people. I would NOT take your loved ones to this place.

Do not take anyone you love to this place for care!!!! My Mother was in here only because I was so…read morerushed by the hospital to find a place and this is one they recommended to me. I had no time to investigate these places to make a more informed decision. It may look nice, but the nurses and care are subpar. My mother had a bad attack during the night and begged to go to a hospital, and they told her she didn't need a hospital. How do they know? No doctor there! When she (my mother) finally was able, she called me in the middle of the night and told me what happened to her and I was livid. After feeling that my mother was stable, I told her that I would call there and find out what was going on. I rang every phone number that I had for hours. The next morning, I went in and asked why in the h**l no one answers the phone all night they said no one is by the phones all night. I asked what if it's an emergency and they just blew me off. I said I want the doctors name that is in charge of my mother's care and they said that they weren't sure who it was because the doctor is new and they had no number. I said you don't know who the doctor is and they have no office number and they said they don't know it. It was also during covid, and it was running rampant in there. Every day on the door, that is where they put the count for the building, the count was growing higher. One reason was because the nurses were taking care of all the patients instead of having certain nurses working with just the covid patients as to not infect other patients. My mother couldn't always remember to wear a mask even though I reminded her, so I told the nurses make sure she is not going to rehab without one on. She said they just forget sometimes. I told her no, there is no forgetting. You have to go back to the room to get it than before continuing. So, I wanted to have her released but they said no I had to wait until 30 days was up for the insurance. They said if I tried to take her out sooner that they would report me to the insurance and we would be responsible for the last 30 days. So, On the 30th day I sent a medical van to pick her up and bring her home as she was getting quite ill at this time and as a family, we wanted her to pass at home with her family around. This place said you better have a home health care set up or we will report you. I told them are you people insane. I would never have my mom come home without the proper care. They said who are they we are going to call them. I told them who we had coming out, and they could call whoever they wanted but we are leaving NOW! I am so glad I was able to get my mom home before she passed, she lived another 6 months with her family all around her. Please if you care about your loved one do not go here!
