Last summer we had a gas line leak outside the house. I called to report smelling gas and they responded immediately sending a tech out within the hour to assess. The tech shut down the lines and instructed me on how to coordinate with the gas company. I really appreciate having this company on our side and highly recommend them. They aren't the cheapest, but their prices are reasonable and fair.

I found a unit from ACDIRECT.COM made in the USA so no tariffs. The brand is ACIQ and has a 12 year warranty on the compressor and 7 years all parts. The issue I had with Greentop is the warranty registration, which was incorrectly registered with my name and contact info as the dealer. I traded a couple e-mails with Vera and was then ghosted. I ended up calling the manuf myself to have them at least correct the name of the dealer on my warranty registration to Greentop. They advised they couldn't change the contact info. I'm hoping I don't have any warranty issues down the line due to their error.

We bought a brand new outside/inside unit through a different company and have had nothing but problems with the "other" companies work. A&R has serviced our unit without fail and fixed issues that the "other" company almost refused to do. The initial installer every time we called made me feel like I was a chore and told us it would be weeks until they could even come to look at our unit. tldr - if it's related to HVAC, call the installer of your HVAC system if possible…read more I called Green Bear to take a look at an HVAC system (on second floor) that was leaking water on the 1st floor ceiling (due to AC condensation). They sent someone over, who didn't really open the HVAC system panel much. I didn't seem confident that this would fix it. But they recommended to fix the drain pan inside the evaporator coil box, which they said was much more expensive. For clearing the drain pipe and gluing a loose pipe, which didn't actually fix the main problem, they still billed me $300 - diagnostic fee ($99) + 1 hour ($199) - (there's a 3% credit card fee, but they accept checks) 4 or 5 hours later, there was dripping again. I ended up calling Bob's, they sent 2 technicians who knew what they were doing (they opened the panel properly), they found and fixed the issue - it did not involve replacing a drain pan. Bob's only charged me the diagnostic fee of $175 and did the job right (compared to $300 that Green Bear charged)
