Zach and his crew just completed painting my 2/2 condo in the Peninsula in downtown Jacksonville. These guys are great... super nice and completely nailed the job. The unit looks gorgeous. Zach was a total pro through the entire process, communicated what to expect, and under-promised and over-delivered. I also appreciated how flexible the crew was overall. The Peninsula tends to have some stringent rules about workers in the building just because of the nature of the building. Zach and his guys were very gracious and understanding throughout the process of getting checked in. Even the building's concierge commented to me later about how great they were (and she deals with a lot of folks). The entire process with Straight Edge Painting was great. Zach, the owner, was very responsive to any questions or concerns. On the initial walk through he thoroughly explained what the job would entail from start to finish. Paul, the crew leader, kept us appraised every step of the way on how the job was progressing. At the end of each day he walked us through what had been done and what was scheduled to be done the following day. The crew as a whole was very friendly, punctual and efficient. They took great care to cover and protect our belongings and took down and remounted all our window treatments for us which was much appreciated. They went out of their way to make sure they didn't leave a mess at the end of each day and that we were not inconvenienced in any way. Zach and his team painted the exterior of my house and I was very satisfied. What sets Zach and his team apart is their professionalism and quality. Zach outlined what he was going to do to my house in detail, and offered a few options. I was surprised that he was going to apply two coats of paint (different paint) when others had quoted one since there was no color change involved. I checked with Sherwin Williams and they said what was proposed for my stucco home would deliver long lasting performance, with minimal fading. They said the one coat approach others had proposed would offer good performance but have significant fading risk. The real question is would I hire them again? Yes - absolutely. read more

We used Straight Edge several months ago to paint the exterior of our home. Our house was built just 4 years ago and the exterior paint was already fading. Straight Edge did an EXCELLENT job of repainting our home. It has never looked better. When we needed to have some of our interior painted, we went with a lower bid (different company) on our large family room. What a mistake that was. We subsequently rehired Straight Edge to paint the remainder of our interior several days ago. Once again, EXCELLENT work!!! They had to repair popped nails and corners, so it was not an easy job. We've moved to different states and had a lot of painters and Straight Edge Painting is the best. I have high standards and Zach exceeded them. His crew did a great job painting our exterior and also took down some wallpaper and did some interior painting. I was in the middle of a kitchen renovation so had to have him come back after the cabinets were installed to finish up. Punctual Polite and helpful Skilled at his craft Respectful of our home Zach and the Straight Edge team completed a 100% repaint of our 1,500 Square ft condo. The work included color matching existing paint, using correct finish per room type, painting baseboards, door casing and doors (raised panel and louvered bifold) and NOT painting the carpet. Was a little apprehensive to find a painter for exterior painting. Zachary was our third estimate and right away we felt comfortable.
