Saved our move! We moved from Michigan to Florida. They gave us a fair quote, had guys show up 2 days later, (I even called last min to book our move). They wrapped up everything nicely, loaded the truck and went straight to our house in Florida and unloaded everything just as it was. I would recommend using them to anyone I know. Beware of these guys! Showed up 6 hours late and the driver worked 45 minutes then left. Next day a 4-5 contracted crew show up. They worked hard but were very sloppy. We had to follow them in every room as they missed many things, often seeming surprised we wanted to take our things. Hired crew was angry because the Straight Shot employee sat in the van the entire time without helping. At the end we had to chase them down the street to put our doors back on that had to be removed for appliances. Learned after they left there was TONS is items simply left in the garage. Hundreds or more worth of items we had to give away to neighbors. Once our items left, we heard nothing. No communication at all so I had to keep reaching out to find out if our stuff made it to their Florida warehouse or not. Finally settling into our home, we organized for them to deliver our items. The truck was significantly more empty than when it left our home in CO, even though it contained another parties items. We had to monitor the unloading and tell them what was and was not ours as they made no attempts to mark them or keep it separated. They kept saying it must not have been loaded right, so we believed them. Unpacking we found many items broken or lost. We have paid movers many times in the past and never once had a broken item or claim of any sort. It is not possible to know the full breadth of what was lost, but we contacted claims to document broken items. The claims rep Chris was helpful and responsive. Went back and forth, when he finally offered a sum to cover everything. We agreed on a dollar amount and method of payment. Fast-forward 1 month, claims, and the owner Michael Erickson are now ignoring me. We paid a significant premium to use Straight Shot believing we were getting our money's worth. At the time they were 5 star rated on every platform, and had lots of positives on the Moving to Florida FB Pages. Not sure what has happened to them, but I believe they are con artists, posting fake positive reviews to dupe people into using they sub-par service. Be very weary of using this 1 star service. They are rip-off artists and will disappear once they have all your money. read more

We used them to move from PA to Florida, and it couldn't have gone better. Ahead of the move we had a couple calls to review the large items, and a video call. A few days before, we reviewed final details including final box totals. They sent a truck up from Florida with one driver, and hired three more local guys to help load. They were efficient and very careful with our stuff. I felt comfortable knowing my things were being driven by a person I'd met all the way to Florida. Three days later they showed up to unload right on time, this time with only two guys. The unloading was done very carefully, took a bit longer due to crew size but they were very efficient and always asked where I wanted things. Highly recommend them! read more

The worst experience I've had and we have moved 4 times. The movers were nice but one of them and I won't say his name, kept Stopping to take a cigarette break! Oh my! In addition, they only sent two men and the move took 10 hours! I have never had such a bad experience like this. I have always had movers be done in 6-7 hours. They damaged my items and the mover even called his friend while on the job! I will not recommend anyone to use this moving company and I regret that I didn't use a professional company. Please do yourself a favor and don't use Straight shot movers. I wish I could say something positive but I cannot. Hope the owner is reading this. Do better and better train your guys would be my suggestions. read more

Terrible customer service once they receive their money. Showed up 4 hours late the day of delivery with no communication. After using 2.5 months of storage with them, we had numerous items lost, damaged and thrown out. Fabric tears on the corners our brand new furniture that they won't repair even though our contract states clear cut terms. They have told us they intentionally don't respond to our status requests on our claim because they don't owe us any updates. We ended up filing a complaint with the BBB and rather than working with them to resolve they told us they won't even touch our complaint unless we remove it. Beware - makes you wonder how many negative complaints they try to get customers to take down to make themselves look professional. read more

The owner quoted the estimate of $500 from moving from Ormond beach to New Smyrna beach. They charged me $900 the end of moving. The owner promised "work hard" even didn't show up. Sent me two men. Although they were very nice, the took time to move more than I expected. The owner said he charged me the amount because I had many"open boxes". They got to my house at 9:45am and started charging me from 9:00am when they left the company. Really? 45 minutes from Daytona beach to Ormond Beach? I understand the quote isn't the exact amount they actually charge. But $500 to $900? Movers charge by hour. When they take time they can charge more. I will never hire this company and tell everybody I know how bad they are. I also had couple of items were broken. They need to replace or pay me if they are "insured" as they said. Also they only take cash or cashiers check, no personal check. Why??? read more

I called Straight Shot Moving to get a quote for my daughter.She works overnight, so I was doing the calling from out of town. I also called other companies. One of the other companies does out of town moves only and referred me to Straight Shot. I thought this was a compliment , to have someone in the business recommend your company. After I gave my daughter three estimates, she chose Straight Shot. She was very pleased with the work, the price was right, they were on time, called ahead and took great care with her belongings. Michael was quick to respond to my call and did everything he said he would do. I appreciate the good customer service and a successful move for my daughter. We moved from Michigan to Florida and had a great experience with this company from beginning to end. Communication was easy and they accommodated every change we had to make with how much more we ended up bringing. Pricing was straightforward and fair. I actually liked this team, but their lack of response to a few issues forces me to give them this rating. Before they picked up our stuff, they were always available and returning calls. After they unpacked everything in the new house and left, we noticed one of the recliners they put together was not put together correctly, and our large TV, when you turned it on, the picture was wrecked, like the device was dropped. We reported it and they said they would take care of it. The next day, and since, we are no longer able to contact them. It is almost like they blocked our numbers, because we cannot even leave a voicemail. We have been ghosted! I tipped both guys a decent amount on pickup and delivery...and provided coffee and doughnuts! Not cool, guys..... read more

Critical: Professionalism, Quality, Responsiveness We used Straight Shot Moving for a local office move in Heathrow, FL. They didn't box our Italian glass coffee table and attempted to move it with chair pads on top. It shattered as they moved it out the door. While accidents happen, this was easily preventable. The movers were informed that the table was a valuable piece and said they would box it up--then they neglected to do so. (They were careless with other items as well; they didn't even bother to box up or wrap our tv.) In addition to acting completely negligently, they are now not responding to repeated messages and emails. It's been several months and despite their promises to repair or replace the table, our table is still broken and they're not responding to us. STAY AWAY from this company. We have filed a complaint with the BBB but so far they haven't responded there either. read more

Do yourself a favor and pick any other moving company you can find. We had the absolute worst experience all the way through-from start to finish. First, they showed up late and at the very last second they possibly could in their contract and when we called to inquire about time updates, I got yelled at by the owner and told "I'll show up when I show up. We can get there at 8pm if i want to. I said we'd be there today so we'll get there when we get there", then hung up on. Our stuff sat in storage for weeks with no movement and showed up at the very last second the contract allowed them to arrive (14 BIZ days later)-again with no updates from the company unless we called for updates. Then, about 10% of our things showed up broken, damaged, ripped, etc when it did finally arrive. When inquiring about a claim, we've been ignored over and over. Bottom line: save yourself the trouble. Find another company. read more
