Her attention to detail and professionalism is something that I rarely encounter and I'm so grateful that she cane into my life as a makeup artist. I needed my makeup done for an event, and I was given Jen's number by a friend. She first did an over the phone consultation about a week prior to my appointment. She asked me about my skin, what I was wearing, where I was going, etc. Then the day before, she text me to confirm my appointment! COMMUNICATION When Jen arrived, she was about 10 min early to set up. She proceeded to sanitize all products in front of me, to ensure that I saw & knew everything was clean. Her brushes were also IMPECCABLE! Super extra clean and smelled good when she applied my makeup. PROFESSIONALISM AND ON-TIME During my appointment, Jen was SO easy to talk to. She's actually hilarious! And her timing on my actual makeup was less than 45 min! She is SUPER fast! I used to hate going to get my makeup done at the makeup counters. They would always step away to help customers and I would be there over an hour. PERSONALITY & TIMING RESULTS: I have dry/oily skin & whatever Jen used on me, made me look and feel like J.Lo all day! My skin was glowing, the staying power lasted until 2am (my appointment was at noon), she did exactly what I wanted... actually, even better because she suggested we change a few things to better compliment my eyes & skin and I'm SO glad I listened to her. She did an amazing job at really listening to what look i was trying to accomplish and even recommended looks that would be most flattering for my facial features. The quality of her makeup and makeup brushes was outstanding. She is very clean and organized. Even when using loose glitter, which is normally very time consuming and messy, she knocked it out like a pro! The end result was so even more beautiful than i imagined. She was able to fulfill my request of a fun night-out makeup look; without it being too much. My makeup lasted all night, even with my oily skin that tends to melt off makeup. I wish I could just pack up and have Tara be my personal Makeup artist for all events moving…read moreforward. I flew in from the DMV for a wedding and did my research on yelp and Instagram for MUA in the area. I kept seeing Blush on the Blvd come up on my results and was happy to see they had just one availability left. During my appointment the conversation with Tara was great, she was kind and she made me feel comfortable during an already hectic day. When she completed I initially didn't even see my face, she recorded a clip on her phone and played it back to me and I was shocked. I looked amazing. My skin was filter flawless, my highlight was beaming so naturally too, my shadow was exactly how I wanted it but BETTER. I didn't even want to put my mask on for the Uber ride to the hotel to prevent it from smudging. Tara made sure my face was beat and it stayed beat and in place the entire night. We joked around how previous clients were wanting sleep in their makeup to push it the next day...... I get it. I stayed up an extra 30 minutes to make sure all pictures were taken. I said why would I not come if I've already paid. She said have you received an email from her canceling. I said no. 3 min later the email came with her canceling. She said she's on the way to a wedding so she's not coming back and I have to go. I said there's no way she was here and packed up in 5 min. She just rather did the wedding instead. Still haven't heard from her on my refund. I had Christmas pictures and had to cancel my pictures. I would not recommend!! Horrible work ethics and unapologetic. Not to mention I traveled from north county all the way to the south side.
