Overall, I do enjoy this coffeehouse! However, some coffee drinks are definitely for those with a sweet tooth - which is no issue with me. Waited forever to order inside. Every worker would say will be with you in a second as we waited for probably ten minutes. Then when they finally took our order the man acted like it was an inconvenience that we would come there and was extra rude and irritated. Then the coffee was awful tasted like flavored milk. There is ample free parking. The ambience is eclectic in nature. I wish they had more comfortable sofa chairs. It was a bit cold inside, I'm not sure they have central heating. I had the hot chocolate with marshmallows and whipped cream. It was delicious. They also had an assortment of deserts, coffee cups, and teeshirts. I absolutely adore this place. I'm visiting Tupelo by way of California and I like going to local coffee shops when I'm in town. This place is small but has an nice selection of menu choices which I love. I am a sugar Fein so I love my coffee sweet. I ordered the mudslide and it was pretty good. Not as sweet as I wanted it but that will not deter me from returning to try the other flavors to find one that'll satisfy my sweet tooth coffee crave. The staff is amazing and helpful. Oh did I mention the pastries!!! Mocha chocolate cake.. Yum and giant oatmeal cookies sandwiches with delicious cream filling... Sugar coma lol. While visiting a friend in New Albany, we drove to Tupelo so that she could get a tattoo. On the way, we passed by this cute coffee shop, and were immediately drawn to it, just because of the name. They offer a nice variety of signature drinks. I asked the young lady at the drive through window what she suggested between the Maroon & White, The Dude, and the Gosh Almighty. She recommended the Maroon & White, and it did not disappoint. I didn't catch her name, but she was very helpful, patient, and kind. She not only took our order, but she also walked to the next window to hand us our drinks. She prepared the drinks as well. People can often get overwhelmed when performing so many roles, but she didn't seem to be. She even inquired about my friend's tattoo. She was just super friendly. Gotta love southern hospitality. Also, the baked goods were delicious. One of my friends had a cinnamon roll, and she said it was great. I had a blueberry muffin. I loved it. It tasted like it was baked at home. read more

Strange Brew is a cute coffee shop with a variety of beverage options. I tried the sea turtle latte and it was fantastic. It was the perfect blend of flavors and was the perfect amount of sweet. The frozen hot chocolate was also delicious and is a great way to enjoy hot chocolate in the summer. Great little find for some real coffee. This is a pretty cool setting that was once an old gas station. There is no shortage of items for purchase and the staff was very friendly and helpful. I wanted to give them 4 stars based on their coffee but my traveling companions insist that I give them 5 stars based on the friendly service and excellent pastries. Yes! The pastries are the best. I had a scone and my daughter had a muffin. Both are very good! They are warm and fresh and we ordered them past noon! If you are looking for coffee and a pastry this is the place to be! read more

The cream cheese brownies are amazing!!!! I also really love the blueberry scones. I have enjoyed every beverage I have tried so far. The beverage menu is HUGE, it's been fun to try something different and find my favorites. The Great Dane is probably one of my very favorite drinks. I was really impressed by the decor, building and had high hopes for the latte I ordered, unfortunately as someone who has done a decent amount of research on coffee and observed baristas and been to several roasters shops I was disappointed by my latte. The milk was not steamed individually for each cup, so they had to skim foam off the top of the pitcher to put foam in my latte. The espresso itself was fine, but not out of this world. I was disappointed that they didn't put the condiments described in the menu on my sandwich (or any condiments at all) and the tomato brown sugar jam was what sold it for me. Subpar coffee. The barista didn't know what a pour over was, and they had no idea where their beans were roasted let alone sourced from. Then we asked for a hand made soda and they did not have any mix. They offered to make more sandwiches so we said yes but 30 min later--nothing, they had not even started.
