An old school burger joint in this historic city that's the birthplace of Elvis. No frills but plenty of ambiance. The burger reminded me of my favorite burger place out west, In-N-Out. They're the smashed type so get two patties if your hungry. Couldn't really try more because they only take cash. read more

Saw this place going through Tupalo and thought it would be a great place to get a Banana Split. Not the case it didn't come in a boat as requested. It came in a cup with only about 4 pieces of banana. We ordered 2 and between the two I don't think we even got 1/2 off a banana. Stumbled upon this great little place while passing through Tupelo, Mississippi and am glad I did! I had a hotdog with mustard, chili and onions, and it was really good. I finished with a hot fudge sundae which was really good. My son got a small chocolate cone whic was really good as well. The staff was friendly and efficient. Ive been going here since I was a child and my grandparents have as well. I have now moved away from MS but always come back for a milkshake when I visit my family over the holidays. Tonight, the lady serving us was the rudest. She looked like she hated her job and acted that way also. The milkshake tasted like straight milk and was about as thick as water. Totally disappointed. Hope this is a one time deal. Ill still visit again but do better dairy kream. read more

This place is the perfect drive in. They atmosphere is awesome and it matches the food. I will definitely stop here for ice cream every time I go to town. The outside is coated in real neon lights, and it has a few park style benches out front under a covered awning. The interior looks right out of the year they were founded, 1955. But you can only see the interior from the exterior. The food was great. I got a burger and frito pie. The burger was good, but the frito pie stood out. Their chili is so good. It is liberally coated in the Fritos, with a padding of cheese squares melted under it. I could eat them every day. It is a good portion. The fries were salted good. The milkshakes were perfect. I like traditional vanilla, and man the flavor was perfect. The consistency was great and was easily sucked through a straw, no straining. It was creamy and over all one of the best I've had. Definitely stop by here for a frito pie and shake. It's traditional and grand at the same time. I love it read more

This place has always been terrific with both food quality and employee service. The workers are quick to get an order done and the line moves at a fast pace. I just wish they would start accepting debit/credit cards! As someone who doesn't carry cash a majority of the time, it's difficult to remember to grab some! Best fries in America. Great ice cream treats. Decent burgers but a bit on the small side. Onion slice usually thicker than the meat, which I like. It's an outdoor burger shack with picnic tables. Most people choose to sit in their car and eat it. No protection from the elements, so be wary of the temperature and weather. Drinks are undersized compared to fast food - you'll probably want the large. read more

I've been coming here for years. It's one of the last old school burger joints where you park out front and walk up to a window to order your food. The ice cream and shakes are delicious and the food is pretty good also. I enjoy eating there and have never had a bad experience. The food is not as good as I remember from the 70s. Now, every time I come to this place, the bun is always partly soggy, and half the timex if you order their tots, they are greasy and only a few in the bag that aren't torn up. Tonight was the worst meal I've had from them. They need to open a larger building because you wait too long to be served, then get this terrible food. The people are very kind, and the price reasonable, just please improve your food. read more

We stop here every time we go through Tupelo. Can't beat the prices and everyone in the family can find something they like. Husband had the ribeye sandwich on the recommendation of a local and said it was delicious. My favorite is always a simple cheeseburger and fries. I ordered two cheeseburgers two small fries a chicken tender plate and a jumbo sweet tea with a smal coke and Pepsi. I get there and they don't accept credit or debit cards. Then they had my food ready and asked me what kind of sauce I wanted and I replied with ketchup and ranch. They gave me barely enough packets to finish one small fry with and only one cup of ranch for four chicken strips. They treat you better than that at the haji marts around town. Not only did they do that but I paid 3 dollars for a jumbo sweet tea and didn't even get it. Not to mention they rushed me away from the window after they damn near threw my food in my face.
