Stopped in for a late lunch yesterday and were greeted immediately and told we could sit anywhere. Seating is comfortable with a combination of tables and booths. Our server came and took our drink orders and provided us with menus. We chose the pretzel sticks that come with beer cheese. Entrees were the chicken tenders with barbecue sauce and the heifer burger minus the jalapeños. Strawberry margaritas completed the order. The pretzel sticks are served piping hot, you can see the steam coming off them as you dip them in the great tasting cheese. The are soft any nicely salted, just the right amount of salt. The chicken tenders arrived covered in a great tasting barbecue sauce. Baby carrots, a side of extra barbecue sauce, and blue cheese completed the dish. There are plenty of tenders in the order, enough so that we took some home for another meal. The barbecue sauce was nice and tangy and complemented the tenders perfectly. The heifer burger was served on a nice soft bun alone with crispy bacon and gorgonzola cheese. Could have had more cheese for my taste but no complaints on what was done with it. The burger was cooked a perfect medium rare and it was well seasoned and very large. It came with a large portion of French fries and pickles on the side. The fries were very crispy and stayed hot throughout the meal. This was definitely a great meal. Service was very good as our server was very attentive and took good care of us. Been here before and we'll be going back. A great place with a large enough menu that everyone should find something they will like. read more

This is a pub- its a bar- its not a restaurant. It's dark, the tables are kinda sticky. The food was not great The Shepherds Pie is unseasoned plain diced lamb with a few peas and carrots and a mound of stale tasting mashed potatoes. The chips were oily and undercooked. If you are going for their lobster rolls don't go on Mondays. read more

Adorable hole in the wall, some booths literally! I did not make a reservation ahead of time and didn't have to wait too long for a table. The front has tables and chairs, mostly four tops, and the back half has the bar and more casual booths tucked across from it. There is a front door open in the hostess stand, and a back door if you've parked in the large municipal lot in back. There is also street parking for the daring. I tried the goat cheese with sweet potatoes which were very sweet. Good chunks of goat cheese though! The burger was well-seasoned and served perfect temperature. My friend and I were looking for some nice Irish food, and boy did we enjoy the Inishmor! We came by on a Saturday night, so there was a bit of a wait, but we walked around the area and wound up being seated after only 20 or so minutes (sooner than expected!). We both got Guinnesses (of course), and I got the shepherd's pie. It was delicious!! Perfectly portioned, and the Irish soda bread that came with it was some of the best soda bread I've ever had. The bread was warm, soft, and sooo fresh. Absolutely delicious. The shepherd's pie itself was also amazing. They make it with lamb (none of that ground beef cottage pie pretending to be shepherds pie here!!) and it is absolutely delicious. The whole menu seemed great, but I don't know how I'll ever get anything but this shepherd's pie here again! Service was wonderful, there was a pleasant level of ambient noise and chatting, but not enough noise to interrupt or overwhelm, even on a Saturday night. This is for their SEAFOOD restaurant. Went for the famed lobster roll. Nice little place --small--no bar but you can walk 2 doors down and get a beer in their original Inishmor pub and bring it back. People were lovely and the lobster roll was to die for! Loaded and buttery in a toasted butter roll with fries and coleslaw. The calamari was weak, small. (Just be aware that the lobster roll is "market price" and mine was $37! I'd go back for it though--it was that good.) read more

We came for dinner. I got the fried fish and chips (Haddock) my favorite. He got the Habanero burger. Check out the huge fries. My my fish was delicious. His hamburger was huge and he loved every bite of it along with the cucumber salad. I also got a glass of wine and he's got he got a fishers island lemonade it was great. Service was great waitress was great definitely coming back. It's a little bit on the darker side inside, but you can see well enough. It's very friendly atmosphere a lot of people. read more

We stopped by for dinner while in the area on a cold, miserable winter evening. Despite the weather, we found the place completely full and opted to wait. Though they were busy, the hostess and servers were right on top of things and super friendly & welcoming. We were pleasantly surprised when our wait was far shorter than estimated. This place is the perfect kind of neighborhood pub that I wish we had near us. Friendly, convivial & fun with a menu covering Irish pub basics and a good beer list. I ordered a Salthill Reuben and my partner, the Shepard's Pie. My request to switch out the sandwich's bread to marble rye was no problem. While the sandwich was tasty & the fish nice & fresh, I did find it a bit "bready", but that may have been because of my own substitution. The Shepard's Pie was well seasoned, warm & comforting on a cold night. The accompaniments - fries & soda bread, were great additions - delicious! I wanted to steal that soda bread from my partner's plate. We will definitely return when we find ourselves in the area again. Really good spot!! Bangers and mash were amazing, highest quality I've ever had. There were about 7 things in the menu that I said I had to come back and try. Their Irish coffee had a proper amount of alcohol and it is wonderful just to be in the pub. Truly reminds me of being back in a pub that you can't usually find in America. Worth a visit, for sure. We tried the chicken tenders, bobcat burger, and the real shepherd's pie. I say real because it's made with lamb, not beef - which would make it cottage pie. We found the service to be friendly and mostly attentive, and the value for our money to be there. The pie was filling, the burger was too. My partner said the prevailing flavor was char, so their patties were over cooked, but the rest of the burger was tasty, and the fries are real chonkers. No wimpy fries here. I was a little disappointed in the tenders. Quality chicken lightly coated, so they were very juicy. They were simply "delicately flavored", which I wouldn't expect from a bourbon bbq sauce, but it was what it was and it didn't deliver there. Special shout-out to the blue cheese dressing: also a mild sauce without a strong blue cheese presence, however the cheese that was in it had a flavor reminiscent of a chaource style cheese. Light ashy fungal flavor rather than a strong mold flavor. I actually went through all the carrots to make sure I enjoyed the whole portion cup. I wouldn't say the ambiance gave much Irish vibe, but the menu made up for it. The Inishmor certainly lives up to the quality bar the Colchester culinary scene is setting recently. read more

What do you do when Instagram's Food_of_CT says Inishmore's corned beef is terrific, and the Wing Addicts put Inishmore on their CT Wing Trail. My Foodie Twin Jen H just stopped reading because she already knows. You Double Down! You order both! Inishmore is an Irish Pub with very good food. An underserved CT restaurant type in my book. The atmosphere was not fancy, but right on for a pub. Service was first rate. Inishmore's Reuben was one of the best I've had in CT, and the corned beef itself, was the best I've had on a Reuben by far. The corned beef was so lean, tender and balanced flavor-wise. The bread was a light and dark marble rye. Very fresh and high quality. A sign indicated that they source their bread from Harpo's. I assume that's the South Glastonbury Harpo's, who I know to make good bread. The bread had grill marks and was not greasy. So they must have used something like a panini press, or a ridged grill pan and a cast iron grill press. The kraut was good. The one thing that didn't pop for me was the Thousand Island dressing. Perhaps that's because they were concerned about having too much moisture during the grilling. Next time, I would probably get some on the side too. The sweet jalapeño wings were very good. The sauce was sweet and a bit spicy, and had actual softened jalapeño pieces. Very tasty and different. The wings were meaty and had very good texture. I see why the Wing Addicts are fans. My son and I also shared some chips (as in the chips of Fish and Chips) and curry sauce. I liked the curry sauce. The chips were like thick potato wedges. This wasn't my favorite Chip style, but it was fine. I highly recommend The Inishmore. I will be back, even though I live 30 minutes away. 4.75 Stars read more

"Why I'm singing this song Why I'm heading back home That's what makes the Irish heart beat" (Van Morrison) The Inishmor Pub is about as Irish as you can get -from the dozens of Guiness flags hanging from the ceiling to the army recruiting poster lauding an Irish war hero, to the St. Patrick's Day countdown clock on the wall. We stopped in for lunch the other day and had a very nice experience. We ordered a Mac 'n Cheese ($12) - "Cavatappi pasta, four cheese blend, seasoned bread crumbs topped with Jack Cheddar, and a Holy Frijoles Burger ($15) - "hand packed vegetable burger with black beans, roasted red peppers, onions, garlic, homemade chorizo seasning, topped with feta (I swapped for swiss) cheese, grilled pineapple and lettuce" served with fries. The food was excellent -I really liked the super creamy mac and cheese and the black bean burger had a ton of flavor. And the French Fries were superb! This is a very cool place. I learned they support quite a few community service projects, like donating money to the local daycares for their painting and playground maintenance. They've also donated over $6,000 to some Veterans organizations, and that's a very nice thing indeed. For all these reasons, we were very impressed with the Inishmor. read more

Still one of our absolute favorite places! The service is great, the beer selection is vast, and the food is always delicious. You can get the best corned beef and cabbage any time of year and the best macaroni and cheese (with your choice of bacon, pork belly, corned beef, or buffalo chicken). If you see anything "curry" on the menu, give it a try! I've been very very happy with those dishes. Very relaxed atmosphere with a few TVs around for sports fans (they make great wings too!). The only downside is that it's so good it's super popular and can get VERY busy so either pick an 'off' time or be patient!! read more

The food is fantastic, carefully cooked and they have great options for those with food restrictions. My favorite meal here is chicken wings and the Harvest Salad. Great atmosphere, always packed. We stopped for a light dinner, the fish and chips were good. A generous piece of fish was included in the meal. I ordered wings with the bourbon bbq sauce and sweet potato fries. The wings were okay, a little on the small size. The sweet potato fries were not fries at all but what they served was a whole potato cut into thirds and deep fried. We drove from Unionville for the famous lobster rolls at Inishor and while we were disappointed they had sold out (700 sold in 2.5 days), we happily enjoyed a fantastic experience at the sister Inishmor pub. Mike the bartender was busy, friendly, professional and had great recommendations. A great Bloody Mary and pint with delicious wings (garlic butter Parmesan), best ever authentic Shepard's Pie and a Salthill "Reuben" (fried haddock) with fries. Their food always delicious and they always have special menu with couple special items throughout seasons which I love try them out sometimes but nothing beat my favorite pretzels with beer cheese dip that they got. I can eat that all day ( with the drink lol ) The service are great the staff are nice. What a bad night at a place we've been frequenting for a few years and enjoying. Until tonight! We ordered the delicious soft pretzels and a decent chicken sandwich. Enjoyed both meals until we ran out of the cheese sauce with the pretzel, and asked for a small container of extra cheese to go with the leftover pretzel and meal we paid for. We were then quoted an additional $4.00 for the extra teaspoon size of cheese to go. Said okay to that as I would Just reduce from any tip I was going to leave. So, when I told bartenders that, lo and behold, they didn't charge me for the extra teaspoon of $4 cheese! How sweet. Here's the real kicker, two gals next to my wife and I were having their first meal here and were listening to my complaint. They showed me their bill and were "ripped off" worse than us. They had five additional charges at up to $1.00 a piece for a tomato slice, lettuce, onion, etc, They both agreed that Inishmoor Pub is testing customer waters. Good luck messing with return customers like My wife and I who tip well. We introduced several people to your restaurant but now have to tell them of this nonsense.
