Bad Plumber, whose name is Edwin, completely botched a bathtub install. The miserable lying…read moresellers, whom I do not wish well, had removed the tub drain so that only the shower could be used. When I took a bath, the reason became obvious: the tub drained into the living room. The large volume of water was too much for the leaking pipes. ARRRRRGGGGHHH. So I replaced the tub with a bigger, deeper tub, and hired Bad Plumber to install it. He claimed that he repaired the leaking pipe. That was a lie. I took a bath, and it leaked again. Bad Plumber said that he would fix it. He did not return. So I called Roto-Rooter, because they guarantee their work. And they're a well-known company. Mike showed up on time. Gave me an estimate. It wasn't too bad. THEN he claimed that he needed a helper to thread a pipe through the ceiling, and no I couldn't do it. The other guy was going to cost an additional $450. UGH. For HOLDING A PIPE. He also insisted on replacing the bath fixtures. More money. Smh. They were brand new. So Mike did fix the leak. Months later, it's still holding up. But...he didn't want to replace the Sheetrock he cut out of the living room ceiling. He was going to just leave me WITH A LARGE HOLE IN MY LIVING ROOM CEILING. I told him that was unacceptable. He told me he's not a "drywall guy." I insisted he replace it, and he did, begrudgingly. He removed three panels from the bathroom wall, and didn't replace them, because "he's not a carpenter." They're still loose, because I can't quite get them back in. He left the old pipes and debris LYING ON MY DECK AND THE GRASS. I guess he's "not a garbage man" either. I should not have to clean up after a "professional," but I did. So....plumbing work: Excellent. No complaints. Mess left behind, extra helper nonsense, and sulking over the ceiling: Poor.

There were some major issues that needed to be fixed and Mike did not take any shortcuts, he was very transparent from start to finish. Our flange was rotted and Mike removed the broken flange put in a new flange set in concrete. He put in a new toilet and sealed it with silicone. First of all, this guy is great - Discovered a leak coming from behind the wall in our shower. Of…read morethe 4 plumbers I tried to reach, Tim was one of 2 who called back, the other wanting $100 just to show up. I passed. Tim called and said he would be able to stop by later in the day, which he did. Once he saw where the leak was coming from in the basement, he went into the bathroom, turned on the water, and quickly diagnosed that the "arm" pipe that connects to the shower head was cracked, allowing water to seep through and run down the pipes behind the wall and into the basement. Simple fix. He had a part that would fit in his truck, but said it was chrome, not the "satin nickel" finish of the other fixtures. He returned in about 2 minutes with a satin looking finished arm and said he used some sandpaper to replicate the satin finish. Who does that? Looks perfect! He was very reasonably priced, really nice knowledgeable guy, and very careful and neat with the work. I will absolutely be using TJP the next time I have any plumbing issues.
