Prime rib sandwich with French fries

We were seated quickly but waited for about 5 minutes or more before a waitress came to the table. By then we were ready to order as well as order drinks. She was pleasant. Our salads came out and in about a minute later our food came out. My fries were lukewarm. I had the prime rib sandwich with au jus. The sandwich was tasty enough but the au jus was cold. Ambiance is your typical diner decor. This place has went downhill over the years. I won't return.

Streamliner Suicide, Coke with marshmallow fluff. Taste like Vanilla Coke.

Richard P's review from six years ago is accurate. Service and food wasn't bad, but it wasn't great. I had the ultimate breaded tenderloin with potato wedges. Their tenderloin was thin and cardboard stiff. They did have a good variety of "homemade" pies to select from. I can easily see this restaurant being the local favorite. I'd return, but not for the tenderloin sandwiches.

Delicicious hand-made tenderloin with mushy unappetizing frozen fries.

the make their unbreaded tenderloins in house and they were excellent. Unbreaded tenderloins can be dry but they kept it moist and at a good thickness. I'd go back for the tenderloins. The hamburger was also good and worth a return. Unfortunately they don't make their own breaded tenderloins. They are brought in frozen. We didn't think they'd be worth trying. The frozen frenchfries and onion rings were pretty dismal. The fries did not have a good potato flavor and the texture was broken down like you get with frozen food. the onion so thin it was lost in the breading. We ate less than half of the fries and rings which is pretty unusual for us. Service is friendly and helpful.

This is a diner style place with a variety of menu items, but I'm going to be short and sweet for a change and point out two things. The breaded tenderloin has in the past been noted in Indianapolis Monthly as one to try, and I agree. Go for the ulitmate. There is something about the Coke there that reminds you, "oh yeah, that's the way Coke is supposed to be". They will drizzle melted marshmallow on the top of your soda or pop or soda pop, and I tend to like it on red cream soda.

The ultimate grilled tenderloin is so good! Shown here with country cut fried potatoes plenty of food here!

Menu too large and never changes. Typical American Diner, burgers, fries, pizza, nachos, with handmade milkshakes, and so much more.

What is in the suicide drink?

It's a very, very old concoction. I've been drinking them for about 65 years. I'm pushing 80 years old so Suicides can't be too bad for you. I'm not sure I've ever ordered anything other than a Suicide at The Liner. I'm not certain exactly how… Read more
