Stopped in and had the ham-croquettes and pork shoulder, plantain chips, and shrimp. All were really good and had allot of flavor to it. Best restaurant in Rochester.

This place was outstanding!! We were traveling through Indiana and were pleasantly surprised by the delicious Cuban food! We had the Cuban sandwich, plantains, rice and beans and bread/butter appetizer. We were thoroughly impressed by the food, cleanliness and fun atmosphere. All servers were wearing masks and the restaurant was very clean. Even our kids enjoyed the food! If you are passing through Indiana this is a must try place!

    crab dip and toast points

This place is a mixed message, in food, décor and service. I was taken here by fans of the restaurant who travel a half hour to eat here weekly. "Great Cuban food" was the description. I found very little Cuban in the décor or the food. It was trendy looking, clean and popular. It's feature was "tacos" which are not traditional Cuban faire. We enjoyed a crab dip with toast points as an appetizer, followed by shrimp tacos and flank steak tacos. The food was decent (not stellar) and seasoned gently. $10 for 3 "street" sized tacos was expensive compared to authentic taco houses. Thankfully the too hot sauce was served on the side. The seating was really off-putting, Simple metal high top stools on the bar side and metal seats with bars that dig into your behind at the lower tables and at the bar. I would not return to the restaurant simply for the discomfort. Very limited low table seating. We got a new and temporary waiter who knew nothing and did not add to the experience. By diner standards of small towns, the food was elevated; but by city standards with many talented chefs, the food was underwhelming, over-priced and mislabeled as "Cuban" when it was more "American New". Glad for the experience but doesn't need a second visit in my book.

We have been here several times eating in and ordering takeout and have never been disappointed. Our usual orders consist of the Cuban sandwich, flank steak tacos, black bean soup and the plantain chips with the sofrito mayo. We've also tried the shrimp tostones, the local cheese board, the pork roast, ham and cheese sandwich and the steak sandwich. Everything is delicious and authentic. If you're in the mood for dessert, the homemade guava cheesecake and flan are heavenly. They have a great selection of beer, wine and other spirits, my favorite being their mojito. Luis and Alissa have accommodated my family on a couple of different special occasions and everything was on point. They are doing a great job and are an asset to our community!

We enjoyed a Cuban sandwich, chili and pork rinds. Nice service. Check hours some days they open at 4:00 pm. Private Owners Very Nice People. A nice alternative of something different in Rochester Indiana. Has bar seating (beer and wine), coffee house style conversation pit area, outdoor picnic tables, and a dining area. Not sure if they are family friendly. I'll be back!

The restaurant wasn't super busy, but there was a large party in front of us, so I assume that's why the food took so long. Something we couldn't figure out though. We waited 50 minutes for our food, but my husband's fries were cold and soggy and our hamburgers were barely warm. I ordered sweet potato fries that the cook forgot to make, so I got lucky and got those hot and fresh. We didn't mind waiting for our food at all, but why wait 50 minutes only for the food to come out cold? You could tell just by sight that our food had been sitting in the back for a bit. We took a few bites and asked for boxes so that we could heat our food up at home. There was no point in complaining as these days, most restaurant managers/owners couldn't care less and those that complain are stigmatized as "Karen's". The bill was almost 55 dollars for two hamburgers, two orders of fries and two soft drinks. Pretty pricey for cold food. Our server was really nice though and unfortunately I don't know her name to recognize her good service. We won't return and will not recommend to anyone. I also want to say that I don't want free food. That's exactly why I don't complain at restaurants. Like I said above, the stigmatization is real and I don't want to be labeled as that person. I just think it's sad that in this day and age, we have to just accept bad experiences or else face the consequences of being called derogatory names. If the food would have been hot though, it would have been outstanding.

EVERYTHING was delicious with loads of flavor and plenty on the plate. Both of us could only eat half what was served us. After dinner we went over to the meat market and picked out a few chubs of hamburger and pork sausage and a chuck roast. The market is easily accessible thu the large dinning room side of their bar/restaurant. The whole place is clean and cozy. The bar side took me back 50 years when I used to go there when it was Louies Tavern for lunch with my Dad and the crew. Then on the menus they have the story of how the owner came from the city and married a dairy farmer and learned how hard it is to be in the dairy farming business. I also milked cows when I was first married too. Milking was twice a day 7 days a week and twice on SUNDAY! Other dairy men will get this play on words. But for the others....most people work 5 maybe 6 days a week BUT Dairy guys work 7 days a week EVERY Sunday TWICE a day. Anyways enough of my reminiscing. We're glad was came across this gem and will return very soon! I almost forgot my wife had their grasshopper cheesecake. MMMMM GOOD.
