Hands down....the best burgers we've had in ages and the beer was just perfect for our end of day stop. Hoodoo Hops. Muchacha Burger and Uncle Jesse. Thankfully the drive there was short, not sure I hit a street, that close. The foyer was a little musty, I think they got hops growing? Lol, or something. The feel of the place is brick industrial, there's a whole lot of shiny brew stuff behind the glass....go ahead knock on the glass I dare ya...double dare ya! I like the industrial feel. Christine was our waitress, she smiled at my humor...that's important...only to me. Lol. Nice choice of brewed on site stuff...lager, pilsner, kolsch, brown and ya an IPA or two for the hipsters. Some rotating taps as well. Good beer. I did the bear hump, kolsch, and road ranger. Food wise it's a pub deal...dry rub BACON AND MAPLE WINGS...BACON ANNNNNNNDDDDD MAPLE. So Canadian hoser. We also had pan nachos. The nucleus was huge, that's important too as is my humor...if ya don't understand nacho nucleus, well... I shake my head. On the nachos they have candied jalepeños...yah...candied! Damn things are so good. Check out their Stanley growlers, top shelf.

The service was great- fast and friendly. The views are definitely worth it. We sat on level two…read moreand enjoyed drinks and Beef Carpaccio- which made me reminisce of Europe. I would say the mains were tasty but not completely top tier yet. We ordered 2 jagerschnitzel, a mexican flank steak and a chicken cordon bleu. Everything was done well- maybe a bit much food and I would like to try something else maybe lighter next time. These would not be negatives to my husband though who thoroughly enjoyed his meal.

The food was a huge disappointment. My father-in-law ordered the fish and trips which looked over cooked and dry. My husband had the Schnitzel which was pounded so thin rendering it overcooked and tough enough to sole a shoe. My mother-in-law ordered the petite sirloin which was cooked more on the rare side than she requested. It was also so tough she couldn't barely cut it. When she finally got a piece cut she couldn't chew it. We sent it back and she decided to get the tenderloin steak instead. She was sure this would be a better choice. She was wrong. First it looked nothing like a tenderloin. It was flat and looked like an another cut altogether. When I questioned the waiter, he assured me it was a tenderloin. Still not convinced. Again my mother-in-law tried to cut into it without success. The waiter got her a new knife which he actually sharpened before bringing it back to her. it was still tough going and by this time she was so frustrated she lost her appetite for her meal and we got it to go. They gave her a complimentary dessert which was a creme brûlée which she said was the best part of the meal. I ordered the chicken cordon bleu which was probably the better choice out of the meals. At least I could cut it. Although the vegetables were not much to rave about either. All in all it was a very frustrating and disappointing meal. And definitely not worth the long wait we had for it to arrive. Will not be returning or recommending.

Being from suburbs of Chicago which has a huge Mexican population and thud tons of truly Mexican joints, this is a worthy and spot on. The place looks so fun inside. They out did themselves. Service was good and on off hours sometimes they come by too often snd sometimes not often enough. Overall this area was good

Last Thursday evening May 22nd I took my family out for a birthday celebration. I had never been to…read morethis restaurant before but chose it because of the good online reviews I had read. I had made a reservation for 5:45PM although this was not necessary since when we arrived there was only one other table occupied. Our server was very , very slow which began to become very frustrating since she only had one other table. I ended up having to wave her over to get her attention and this was after sitting for at least 10 minutes. We ordered drinks, White wine, margarita and an appetizer of Tortilla chips. When the server returned she brought a glass of red wine not white, when I stated I had ordered white wine she rudely said "no you didn't" and refused to take it back at which time I asked for a glass of white. In my opinion, even if I had accidentally ordered the red, it is really surprising that she would not switch them out. When the tortilla chips came it was SHOCKING!! the cheese was dry and looked like it had been sitting on the chips for hours obviously it was not freshly prepared. The guacamole did not look like any guacamole I have ever had or seen, it was close to a mint green color and when I asked the server about this she stated "it is Mexican guacamole", I have been to Mexico many times and NEVER saw this color or the syrup like consistency it had. Because of her rude behaviour and poor quality food we paid the bill, including the glass of unwanted red wine and left, we did not order entree's. This is the first review i have ever written but the experience was so awful that I wanted to share this with the public and hopefully the owners of this establishment will use this review to make some much needed changes.
