So impressed with this place & they offer jackfruit for any meat substitution. This was my friends meal. I had the BBQ jackfruit sandwich

Wow.... just WOW! This place was so awesome! I stood in line for about 20 minutes and it was well worth it. We visited Street Eats on my weekly fun ride with our Wednesday night bike club and we decided to go to Confluence in hopes that there would be some food. I am a mostly vegetarian and eat some fish now and again but one of my fellow riders is a strict vegan. She was a little nervous to order when we got to the front and they were absolutely great. My friend had to doctor up there order a bit and they said they would guarantee no animal products. They have Jack fruit for a meat substitution and it was delicious. I didn't take the time to take a picture of my sandwich (partially because I was starved for the ride that I scarfed it instantly) but I got the Rocky Balboa which is traditionally a BBQ pulled pork sandwich and I did the Jack fruit instead. Boy of Boy it was delicious, I'm going to have to try all there food now. All there tip proceeds go towards a mission to stop Human Trafficking, I don't know if they switch that up from time to time but I liked that they did that so I dropped $5 in. The staff was friendly and the food was fast once it was ordered. If there is a line it is well worth the wait. Street Eats is DANK!

Caught these guys parked in the 900 block of Locust on my lunch break. Cool looking menu. Consists of stuffed sandwiches and fries/poutine. I got the Magoo Q (I think that's what it was called) sandwich. It consisted of fries, pulled pork, cole slaw, and sautéed onions topped with BBQ sauce. It was damn good. The pork was moist, the fries were piping hot out of the fryer, and the cole slaw was lightly dressed but still had good flavor. It was great. I added some of their house hot sauce for an extra kick. Very impressed. I will definitely be looking for this truck again in the future.

Stuffed sandwiches are a little piece of heaven I didn't know existed until now. Imagine all your favorite things put between two soft pieces of bread and that's where Street Eats DSM comes in. I ordered the Welcome to Iowa which is bbq, ham, bacon, roasted pork, Italian sausage and....fries. I know at first I was like "I don't know about this"..but trust me it works! The sandwich was delicious and I can't wait to go back and try the other stuffed creations they have going on.

Pollo Italiano stuffed sandwich is divine.

The Pollo Italiano sandwich is divine. Ingredients are so fresh and it is served nice and hot! The wait to order here can be a minute but dishes are served up quick and it's worth it.

Visiting from out of town. Only ate here once, but thought about it everyday…read more Soda was crispy, not flat or syrupy. Hard to find these days. Chips, salsas, guacamole and queso were all phenomenal. Really hit the spot. Love the option of being able to order single tacos. I tried a shrimp, asada and al pastor. Loved them all, especially the shrimp. Shrimp wasn't too fishy like you get some places. It was cooked well and great flavor. Vibe inside was homey and laid back. Server was very attentive, which we really appreciated! This place should definitely have better reviews.

I had heard great things about this place so my husband and I finally tried it for dinner…read more Unfortunately, we thought the food was just average. I couldn't understand how this place had so many positive reviews. I got three street tacos (two asada and one pastor) and my husband got three enchiladas (asada, pastor and chicken). The presentation of the food was nice but the taste overall could have been better. The meat in my tacos and in the enchiladas could have used a little more seasoning. We found it a little bland. My husband said the chicken in his enchilada wasn't seasoned at all. I was very disappointed with the three salsas they included. They were just hot and didn't taste like anything. The salsa that came with the chips was very tomato-y. All I could really taste was tomatoes and nothing else. I will say that the service was very good. Our server answered all of our questions patiently and kindly. Another person checked on us five times to make sure everything was ok. I just wish the food was as good as the service. The price for the tacos is the best I've seen in town but I'm not tempted to come back any time soon. After eating Faustino's tacos, nothing else even comes close to theirs.

Nina's Tacos can be found most Mondays at the Pleasant Hill Community Farmers Market from 400-700…read morepm CT... Make sure you check their Facebook page for their weekly schedule. So Taqueria Marissa has really good birria tacos... I was told by MANY people I had to try Nina's Tacos. So you all weren't wrong! Some darn good birria and I love the variety! Going to a farmers market to find her tacos kind of bit me in the butt though. A bag of freeze dried candy, a pie, and Nina's pretty much killed a Franklin. The farmers market and Nina's were easy to find. A big red trailer in the lot with quite a few vendor canopies at 5229 E University Ave in Pleasant Hill.... It's easy to spot. I was pretty close to their first customer today. I left work in West Des Moines at 330 pm and took 235E to University out to Pleasant Hill. 1 birria crunch wrap - $15 3 birria lumpia - $10 3 quesa birria tacos - $10 Everything came with limes and make sure you indulge in their hot sauce! $35 before tip and she gave me a free Coke to enjoy while I waited. Service was wonderful. We visited a bit at the window. I shared it was my first time ordering from Nina's and I'd driven across the metro to find her. I had a short wait for my order and a few people started to stack up at the window as I waited. The birria tacos were my favorite. The other two items lacked nothing. Their birria and consume in any form is top notch! SO tender and I love the flavor! Now if I had to compare Nina's against Marissa and Flame.... Why? It's like comparing three precious gems... ‍ Would I drive across town again? Heck yeah! That's really all I should need to say. Lots of menu items I haven't tried yet and it's a fun little growing farmers market everyone should check out. Especially if the crowds on Saturday morning aren't your thing. https://www.facebook.com/PleasantHillIowaFarmersMarket?mibextid=LQQJ4d https://www.facebook.com/ninastaco?mibextid=LQQJ4d
