We were driving through from Colorado back to Minnesota and did everything right: ordered online a full 30 minutes ahead so we could just swing in and pick up. My brother orders in-person right when we get there, and his sandwich--plus two other walk-in customers' orders--come out before ours even starts being made. I liked it, but thought prices were a bit on the high side, and I didn't see any option for a different bread (wheat, whole grain, etc.). I met a friend and his son, and our three sandwiches with no drinks were just over $31. I got a 1/2 and should have upped it to the 'small' - the 1/2 was a bit too small. I got the Chicken Cheese Steak with hot peppers. It was nicely prepared and the peppers were indeed spicy. My friend got the Chipotle Cheese Steak - also very nicely prepared, and the young one in our group got the plain ham and cheese - the small was just under $10. Food came out in about 5 minutes, and is in a sack even if you eat in. Had to go back up to get napkins - none in the bag. Ordered Philly and Bobby. The Bobby was good but the Philly was covered in hard black chunks. I work in the food industry, and those black chunks are food particles left on the flat top to burn over time. When I arrived for my order I saw the entire staff sitting in conversation so to think my sandwich was covered with so much nasty grill particles is not okay. You don't expect a chain to be this good, you just don't. I rarely write reviews of chains because of that. This place makes exceptional sandwiches. Big points for Russian Dressing with their Pastrami sandwich rather than the sweeter 1000 Island. It works better, gives it a richer taste. Their Italian sub gets a nice extra bite from the capicola. The bread is a touch light for my tastes, but I tend towards a heavy, south side of Chicago Italian bakery sort of loaf for this sort of sandwich. We both loved our sandwiches (and shared a bit, like we do). Lizzie had a combination Root Beer and Cream Soda, that was a bit tart for me, but perfect for her. I had just the Root Beer, which is wonderfully creamy and sweet. This is a great sub place, the best I have been to in ages. Go give it a try! read more

Awesome sandwich shop. Got it via DoorDash and it didn't disappoint. Portions are huge and prices are fair. Large selection of size options for sandwiches- more than your average shop. My husband had a classic Philly 18" and I got the chipotle chicken crunch 10" with extra chicken. Both were fantastic and packed with flavor. For the price, you can't beat the sandwiches. Super filling and hardy. Can't find many other places offering 18" sandwiches- it was literally like a whole loaf of bread lol. We will be back and next time in person! read more

Stopped by for a quick sandwich in between jobs. I have never been, so I noticed a big poster that has "the Bobbie". It has turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce, and a little mayo. I love anything thanksgiving so I ordered a 10" along with chips and a drink for $16 something. I could've done without the chips and drink for an extra $4. I waited 5 maybe 10 minutes no big deal. The sandwich was one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. The stuffing had a perfect amount of crunch, the turkey wasn't dry and not too juicy. The cranberry sauce was very good and I'm not a huge mayo fan so I was totally happy with the amount of mayo. I will come back to try other sandwiches unless I'm craving the Bobbie which is a big possibility. Would strongly recommend this place the next time you want a quick sandwich! read more

So the only reason for not including the fifth star is that I have very high standards for the "Bobbie" as Being from Las Vegas I have had a few in my day... This is a Life changing Sandwich and one I've dreamed about on many a Cool Fall Day! It is truly Thanksgiving dinner in one Bite, but of course I've always bought the 18" soo It's also a Meal... I was soo excited to finally find one again in Iowa and on this day me and my Cousin hit it up and was in marvel again at the sight of this Sammie! AGAIN I am a bit of a "Bobbie" snob soo the only slight critique is that its ingredient layers were a little rushed, in the past at a Henderson, Nevada shop the thing would come out looking like a brand new car, clean, shinny, and all the lines in order... This shop was nice, well staffed, and friendly; My Cousins Wagu Beef Sub he said was devine and tender, But he was in awe when my sandwich came out all toasty and warm. He simple said "this thing is in a different dimension" and I agreed as I know there is nothing like it and I love it! Hard to compare as I've Never ordered anything Else here and never Will... I have come to like this place a lot, usually getting Turkey or Meatball subs. Yes they are a bit pricey but they use quality ingredients and my order is always made right and ready for pickup. I have my own chips at work so I just buy a sandwich for lunch when I order. Unfortunately today I got a cold meatball sub which surprised me. I went to pick up and I was actually about 8 minutes early but my order was already prepared and bagged. So it definitely took me by surprise when I got back to the office (a short 3 minute drive) and the sandwich was completely cold. Marinara sauce is not very good when it's cold! However, I had a business lunch in Clive today so ordered two box lunches online to give them a try. Wow! Probably the best turkey sub I have ever had. The turkey was shredded, not traditional slices and tasted delicious. The bread was fresh and chewy...all around absolutely perfect! One star because it won't let me give 0. Absolutely terrible experience and their answer is that I should file a dispute with my credit card! On Wednesday we placed a web order for pickup at 1:30 on Thursday. Nowhere on the corporate website or the store website was it indicated that they were closed on Thanksgiving. Their app allowed us to place an order for a time when the restaurant was closed. I did not find this out until I went to pick up the order to find a closed store. I contacted the store first thing Friday so they didn't actually make the now unneeded order and the GM said he would refund it. Cue to this morning when he called to say he couldn't refund it due to ordering for Door Dash pickup. We never order delivery. I informed him of this and he said the system wouldn't let them refund us and I'd have to file a dispute with my credit card company. I'm out $88, do not have the food (nor do I want it). I'm off to file a dispute with Capital One. read more

Seating is tables and had a similar sandwich shop atmosphere to a subway or jimmy Johns. Food: I ordered a small classic cheesesteak sandwich (no sides) and was just shy of $10. I feel like the price is fairly steep for an average/decent sandwich. It was good, but comparable to a pepperJax or Charlie's subs. Being from Vegas, seeing a Capriotti's while on vacation in Iowa was a treat! I stopped in at lunch time and was greeted by every employee with a warm "hello". The employees are amazing! What an outstanding group of happy people. I placed my order with ease and it was ready quick. I choose the cheese steak and ... insert wow factor! Amazing! TL;DR: Best cheesesteak I've had since I left Delaware fifteen years ago. I was traveling cross-country and stopped for a night in Clive. When I was searching for a place to eat, imagine my surprise when I saw "Capriotti's Sandwich Shop": the name took me back to the days of my youth (i.e., 1980s) when I lived in Delaware and Capriotti's was duking it out annually with another cheesesteak joint for best cheesesteak in Delaware. (Capriotti's generally won.) After a look at the menu I realized that it was indeed a Capriotti's franchise, and that in the years since I left Delaware they must have expanded. I ordered a medium Wagyu cheesesteak. When I got back to the hotel and started eating it, I realized that I had made a mistake--I should have ordered the large. Fortunately, my hotel was less than two miles away so I was able to order a second sandwich after finishing the first. That I would order a second sandwich less than a minute after eating the first should be a good clue as to how good the sandwich was. It brought back all the nostalgic feelings of the great cheesesteaks I had from northern Delaware, and indeed I would say that it was the best cheesesteak I've had outside of that area.
