My granddaughter had a dance recital in the area and afterwards we went to The Willamette Garage where there are a bunch of food carts. I was the only one of our party to choose Street Heat. My choice was the Carnitas Burrito . I didn't know they charged for the addition of rice which seems a little odd. Rice and beans is usually standard addition to a burrito. The burrito also had purple cabbage in it. Another odd addition . I've only had cabbage in a fish burrito. The burrito was not very hot but It tasted fine. About an hour after eating , I did incur indigestion and another bodily occurrence. I wasn't sick but you get the picture. This was swing and a miss for dinner. read more

There are so many things on it but all missing any sort of flavor profile. It's a food cart so service is service, and the food cart area is nice and the beer is good. But the food. Wow. I was looking for vegan food at The Willamette Garage and I spied Street Heat. They had vegan tacos and burritos, so I tried the burrito (even though I'm not normally a jackfruit fan.) I was not disappointed! The burrito was full of crunchy goodness, and the medium salsa was great tasting and mildly chunky--not too hot and not too mild! Finally, the staff were friendly and efficient. I will be going again! read more

Update: My experience mentioned below wasn't great, but one of the owners reached out to make things right and I really appreciate that. At the end of the day, I don't know that I'd want to return, but I can definitely see the effort on the owners end. I feel better knowing that the people who run this business are kind and maybe my experience was a one off. I had the worst experience here! As I was walking up to order last Friday, one of the employees was being extremely rude to the others. There were multiple rude comments and he raised his voice a few times. Trying to order while the cook was blatantly berating the other staff members was extremely uncomfortable. I ordered tacos with no cheese, and waited. While I waited over at my table, I could still hear all of the hostility going on inside the truck. My order was placed to go, so I quickly grabbed it and drove back to work. Once I got back to my office and took the tin foil top off of my food, I was disappointed to see my tacos had ONLY cheese and nothing else on them. The food was already on the expensive side, especially for a food truck, but I was beyond bummed out to find that my tacos were covered in cheese, as I am lactose intolerant and wasn't able to eat them. I considered going back, but the cooks aggressive attitude was so horrible that I was afraid if I had returned my food, he would go off on the other employees or possibly even me! This is such a cute location and a great use of a space that was languishing for years! We got some steak tacos and nachos to share and they were both really good but the nachos the clear winner. Spring for the pickled peppers and enjoy how spicy and only slightly sweet they are. So great with the nachos! Very nice staff as well and plenty of places to sit in and out of sun. Keep your expectations managed and this can be a fun place to visit for an outdoor meal close to home. This isn't a place to get super spicy or homestyle food, but they can make the shit out of a nacho and it's a mile away. I can't complain! read more

So this is my first experience both in this food cart pod and at this particular food cart. I walked around and looked at the menus on all five food carts, and decided that some street tacos would be perfect for a late lunch. Most of the street tacos are four dollars each, but if you order four of the same taco, you get a couple of dollars off. I had one each of the four tacos listed: Chicken al Pastor, Carnitas, Manchaca beef, and Carne Asada. (You do not get a discount for four tacos of different types, which was fine.) I enjoyed all of them, although I could've used a little more flavor on the chicken and the Carne Asada. The Carne Asada was also a little bit dry. The flavors, however, were nice, and I enjoyed my meal here. The people working in the cart were also very pleasant, and I think that this was a very worthwhile experience. I had the California burrito. The steak was amazing. It had a healthy amount of steak in every bite. It wasn't salty like many places. My wife and kids had bowls and they are filled to the top. You won't walk away hungry. The chips were fresh and the guac was the queso was to die for. My daughter loved the queso so much that she just kept asking for more. I love the fresh salsa. The food quality was great and prices were more than fair. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There are a lot of options at the location but this is a solid choice that you won't regret. read more

Do not ever get a bean and cheese burrito. It was 85% tortilla, 10% raw onions, and 5% unseasoned black beans with cheese. Literally the worst burrito I've ever had. Threw it out and got something from another cart after picking through the entire burrito. My partner got carnitas quesadilla and it was slightly below mediocre. read more

Some of these reviews are harsh, it's hard to find good Mexican food in West Linn. These guys kill it, friendly accommodating staff, and great flavor. I drive over 20 minutes just to grab a carne asada bowl. Keep doing your thing Street Heat! read more

Based on the aesthetic and options (only 3 carts open on a Tuesday night), I thought tacos were a safe bet! These were more than disappointing - tiny fillings in the street tacos and unbelievably bland. The chicken Al pastor had no seasoning and carnitas were especiallly dry. Requested their HOT salsa and there was a non-spicy reddish water splashed on. For $4 each, I expect a more complex, hearty street taco. Next time at this pod, I'll get the Thai! read more
