The pastor didn't have that deep pastor flavor that I'm always in search of. The red salsa had a strange smoky flavor I didn't love. The green salsa was decent. The salsa that came with the guacamole and salsa orders were both decent but not great- I wish they were a little fresher. Just an average burrito. Super nice people and funky space, but food is so so. I'm a bit of a taqueria snob. I ordered the San Diego burrito which has carne asada, fries (yes fries), guacamole, beans and sour cream. It didn't taste like much and meat wasn't that great. Taqueria Casitas was good. The interior of the restaurant was small but the set up was good. It was easy ordering at the counter and the service was good. Horchata was ok. The carnitas wet burrito was good and the table-side salsas in the bottles were very good. It was a good choice for dinner that day but it was average. read more

Ordered two chicken tacos with a side of Mole, and a side of beans. I got it to go and by the time I got home about 1.1 miles away, I noticed there was Mole sauce underneath the small plastic bag spilled out on the passenger fabric seat. Instantly noticed there was a tear (rip) in the bag with a hard plastic spoon hanging out. I called and explained and the guy who answered said not their problem and he's pretty sure he put the lid on the mole sauce cup. I asked if I could at least get my money back for the Mole sauce (for a small serving he charged $5 extra). He said all I can do for you is tell you sorry. I lived in LA for 15 years so my standards are very high when it comes to tacos. Las Casitas is one place in the Tualatin area that does tacos right, and there are a lot of others that make them so wrong (check out my other reviews if you want to know which those are). Las Casitas tortillas are fresh, the meat is well seasoned but not overcooked, and the size of their tacos is bigger than most. They also make really good burritos and their salsa verde is on point. Don't be fooled by some of their reviews also, they make a lot of other stuff that I could see be interpreted as not great. Stick with what they do best, good old fashioned Mexican food classics. read more

They have hand made tortillas for the tacos which I absolutely love, It's hard to find places that offer that but food didn't have much flavor. I got 2 chicharon tacos, 1 tongue and 1 chorizo, all were very dry for my liking. I would skip them next time. I saw people having menudo and that looked good I wish I would have had that. Prices are good. Portions are good. The right side of the establishment is for the restaurant and the left side is a snack area. The woman who took our order is friendly. They offer various plate combinations. I've never had a side of french fries with burritos before, but looks good. I ended up ordering an enchilada combo plate. Three enchiladas in green sauce with a side of refried beans and Spanish rice. YUM. Everything just tastes homemade. It doesn't taste like it came from a can or was pre-packaged. Being a foodie doesn't just mean enjoying food at the fanciests of michelin star-dom. It also refers to people that will seek out the best versions of everything whether it's in a sketchy alleyway or in an unassuming office building. Well luckily this one wasn't in a sketchy alleyway. Yelpers led me to this little strip mall Mexican food joint. Aside from the painted windows advertising big burritos, there's really not much to it. I was excited to also find Ome Calli in one fell swoop (it's next door). It was rainy though so I'll have to try it another day. Enter & there's a little counter to order at. Only a handful of tables and booths. We decided to do to go. The menu was pretty easy. There are pictures for basically everything. There are combos, plates, and tacos are the prices listed next to the protein choices. We got the pastor sope plate (3 sopes), baja fish platter (2 tacos, rice, beans), and a lengua taco. It was ready quickly and we were on our way. The lengua taco was on their homemade corn tortilla. It was so awesome. It was slightly spicy and there were big chunks topped with cilantro and onions. The baja fish platter came with 2 slightly bigger tacos on flour tortillas. They were also good. Breaded fried fish with a creamy smoky sauce. The pastor sopes were also good. Topped with avocado, queso, and lots of slightly crispy pastor. It was way too much! I never say that! We can't wait to go back and try more. I think I might have to do more tacos. The homemade tortillas and lengua were definitely the most craveable part! read more

I ordered a pastor quesadilla and the flavors just weren't really there and it didn't even taste like pastor at all. The beans and rice are what really dropped the score down because the beans had absolutely no flavor at all and were extremely runny. The rice was mushy and they definitely used too much water while cooking. For the price there are multiple taco trucks closer that taste much better than this! My coworker turned me onto this place - She had one of their menus at her desk and we called in and ordered food for take out. Their carne Asada tacos are SOOOO GOOD! 8 tacos for $18.00 Great price and value! They over desserts too.. mangonada, ice cream etc. They have a station for extra sauces, to go boxes etc. Decent price for great food! Employees are great as well! This place is like a hole in the wall. Doesn't look like much when you pass by it but the food is definitely yummy! I had the nachos, my fiancé the asada fries and my aunt had the flautas. All of which was enjoyable and authentic Mexican food. The only reason why I gave it 3 stars rather than 4 or 5 was because although the food quality was good the place itself felt run down and not too clean. I put 4 stars because I know keeping a business is hard and I don't want to give a bigger struggle to them in this economy. My honest would be 3 stars, I only ordered 2 asada soft tacos and a horchata, the tacos smelled really good at first but the asada just wasn't right, it was very oily and was drenched in the oil that causes stomach acid issues and it just wasn't right, horchata was probably the best one I've had in my life, customer service was great as well, so yeah I guess 3-4 stars out of 5, not bad at all, im sure the other dishes are great read more

As a native of San Diego I was intrigued to see a San Diego Burrito on the menu. My son (also a native of San Diego) coaxes me to order it saying it is good. I have ordered this in San Diego on occasion and therefore know the main ingredients, carne asada, French fries, guacamole, pico and cheese. This one had that as well as a side of cooked vegetables. The burrito lacked fillings and for the price tag of $10 I was disappointed. My wife opted for the rolled tacos which came at the hefty price of 11.00. This came with a bowl of very good soup. Mind you, this is a taco shop and not a restaurant. A little bizarre but when in Oregon! Lunch for 4 with drinks came to $56. This same lunch in San Diego would ring the register at $36 and garner a couple more stars. But WTH, Oregon is not known for Mexican Food. read more

What a great find! This tiny little taqueria has only 5 tables, but seems to do a great to-go business as well. They have the standard menu items and of the items I've tried (enchiladas, tacos, sopes), they are all excellent. The salsa they bring to the table with the chips is awesome. Smoky and spicy, my only complaint is there isn't enough of it. It's clearly homemade. The red enchilada sauce is lacking a bit of body; it wasn't creamy or subtle but kinda smacked me in the face with it's harshness. The green enchilada sauce was more to my liking; slightly creamy and rich and it had good flavor. They have all the varieties of meats available, and the asada and the pollo were both cooked well. DANK! I work in Wilsonville and only get a half hour for lunch and whenever I'm craving bomb ass Mexican food, I just call right when I get out for lunch and head over. My food is always done and DANK AF. Honestly, probably the best burrito I've eaten in the Portland-ish area. The tortillas are so good and the sauces are wonderful. Stopped in for lunch here today and had a great experience. Our cashier was very nice and put up with us being completely clueless. I had chicken tacos and my boyfriend had beef tacos. Tacos are authentic (just don't add the poison salsa) comparable to Cali taco trucks. Prices are a tad high, but Tualatin has no other options advertised. Went here since I just moved near by hoping to find a decent Mexican place, ordered 2 tacos al pastor and the meat was fatty and didn't taste like al pastor at all, the carne Asada fries were decent but the meat was dry and over cooked, like it was left over and re-heated from the previous day. Ordered my wife the chicken taquitos and the chicken had no flavor at all and it was really dry like it had been reheated in a microwave. Also got the cheese enchiladas which had only cotija cheese inside, first time I've ever seen a non-melting cheese enchilada. Beans were runny but had decent flavor but lacked seasoning. Rice was again decent but lack of seasoning. I came on here hoping to see this place have mediocre reviews but was really disappointed to see this place so highly reviewed. read more
