We happened by this place on a Friday evening. We had the jhol momo, the tandoori momo and chilli paneer. The chef personalized the jhol momo to be spicy enough for us. They were very busy as there is not much seating, but their service was always with a smile. We really liked both momos and the paneer.

We loved the food! We ordered Chicken Steam Momo and Traditional Hakka Chow Mein. The steam momo is essentially steamed dumplings (known in China as xiaolongbao) with Indian curry flavour. Very good, hot, spicy, and it was served almost instantly. The Chow Mein noodles (known in China as chaomian) had a very authentic flavour of high temperature stir-frying. Highly recommended! The chicken in the noodles was a bit too dry, but it didn't spoil my impressions.

So many momo options! Tried the tandoori momos and Madras momos! Fav was the tandoori ones, the sauce for the Madras momos was surprisingly spicy. Also had the Hakka Chow Mein and Street Special Mixed Fried Rice. The rice and noodle dishes were good, but we were expecting them to a bit spicy and more flavourful. The portion sizes were big. Service was quick and friendly. There ample seating inside the restaurant.

Very much appreciated this combination. * Wonton Soup - Pork wontons, bbq pork, scallions in a flavourful broth served hot. The menu may not be as extensive as other restaurants but they don't need to impress with variety as everything they serve up is simple yet mouth-wateringly delicious. But I really liked the atmosphere. Although it's small, it's bright and there's plenty of sun coming through. We ordered a few dishes and all were tasty. I enjoyed all of them. The fried dumplings were delicious but you have to be careful when you eat them. They are so juicy that it sprays out when you bite into them. My friend warned me about this, but it still happened anyway. The best dish had to be the chili oil noodles. I really liked the texture, width and flavours involved. There was just enough of a spicy kick without it overpowering the noodles and other flavours. I will definitely come back to have this again. Overall, I don't have anything to negative say about this restaurant. Delicious food, nice atmosphere and friendly and fast service. Prices are also reasonable too.

Wai Tack Kee makes traditional Chinese snacks. You can get some of them at T&T. However, it has some offerings that aren't available at your local Chinese grocery store. Rather than going into a supermarket and battling crazy shoppers trying to prepare for this upcoming new year, I decided to order directly through Wai Tack Kee and pick my order up today. You have the option of either placing your order on Wai Tack Kee's site or through direct messaging on Instagram. I did the latter and the response time was pretty fast. I first got a link to the menu. The person behind the account indicated which items were sold out. This place is that popular! I got the following items: - Tofu crisps - garlic - Tofu crisps - sweet - Lotus-shaped blossom cookies - Lunar new year assortment (5 varieties of snacks are in it) I got detailed information on pickup dates and times. I also got a link to the pickup location that opens up Google Maps. I chose today (Friday) between 2 and 4 pm. Payment is through e-transfer. It was straightforward. You get an invoice and confirmation that your payment went through. Today, I drove over to pick up my order. I got there just after 2 pm. It's just under twenty minutes by car for me to drive over without breaking the sound barrier. The place is located in a quiet business area in Scarborough. There's parking available, but you truly have no choice but to back into a spot. The laneway is narrow. As instructed, I got to the door and rang the doorbell. A lovely woman said hi. I indicated that I was picking up an order, and stated both my first and last names. She was so friendly and said that she'd fetch my order. I'm not kidding. In less than ten seconds, she came back and handed me a rectangular paper bag with handles. It was full of goodies. She wished me a happy lunar new year. I reciprocated and happily left. I guarded my snacks with a ton of care as I drove home. I hope that they all last till the actual day. I have cracked open the box of garlic tofu crisps. They are so good. There's a touch of sweetness. The garlic flavour is mild at first, which works well with the crisps. The garlicky goodness lingers, but you won't offend anyone near you with your breath. Yum! I managed to get some crisps for my parents and dropped them off. My mom has already had some of the garlic crisps, too. I have a feeling that their box won't last this weekend! It has been a great experience getting these snacks without hitting a Chinese grocery store and dealing with that stress before the new year. I like ordering directly through Wai Tack Kee, a local family business that is working around the clock to get these goodies made. I'd do it again. It was smooth and easy. (39)

Looks like a table by the front entrance is reserved for owner admin purposes. Front area filled with good luck paraphilia to ward off evil spirits. My friend knew all the staff and proceeded right away to speak Malay. Let my friend do the ordering, I recognized a few of the dishes such as beef curry, chicken curry (both with roti), boneless chicken rice plate, chicken skewers, grilled sambal stingray, penang hokkien mee and a few other dishes (look at photos) I didn't recognise. There was one interesting dish Rojak, a mixed salad of chopped fruit & vegetables smothered in a pungent fermented shrimp sauce, sweet, tangy, spicy, a whole smorgasbord of flavors dancing on my tongue. Three words I've never used to describe Roti, theirs was crunchy, fluffy and moist, wonderfully dipped either in the beef or chicken curry. Chicken skewers were grilled well, meat remained moist with a nice grilled aftertaste, not necessary to dip into the accompanied curry sauce as the overall flavor stood on its own. The Sambal sting ray was a little disappointing, didn't match the memory of the one I had at the Singaporean hawker food court I had a few years ago. Overall flavor was lacking. Penang Hokkien Mee is the real deal, large plump shrimp w/ firm egg noodles in a somewhat spicy flavorful broth. We came on a Friday night, the restaurant was about 50% full, what a great cultural food experience which needs further support.

Decor isn't really anything to write home about, it's not why we came here. The roti canai was super delicious. Roti was flaky and buttery, the curry nicely spiced and waiting to be sopped up by the roti. The Indonesian fried rice was recommended by the staff and it didn't disappoint. Char Kwei Teow was nice, the wok hei was very apparent here as well as the Kang Kung Belacan (water spinach). The hainanese chicken while tasty was very bony (menu said it had bones).
