I inquired about their available packages, mainly interested in their interior detailing. The prices and location was reasonable, so I was very happy to learn they could fit me in that same week for an Interior Deep Clean. This comes with wipe-down, vacuum, and shampooing of carpet and seats. I dropped off my car at 10am and picked it up around 410-ish (I was a bit behind for pick up, but they were very nice and accommodating). I was very happy with the work I saw. However- 1) My seats weren't completely dry by the time I picked up [fair warning in case you're getting them shampooed] 2) While the area I had asked for special attention was tended to, other areas seemed overlooked (seatbelts, folds of backseats, dashboard, interior door handles, cups, etc.) Customer service is so friendly and quick, I think it's important to really clarify expectations of what you want serviced before booking. Very courteous and personable staff. Even owner, Nate Turner, was outside wiping down cars! My car now has that "wet" look after recieving a full ceramic coating, and course, feels slick as well. Even after paying about $200 for glass coating in addition to the basic ceramic coat, I still paid well under $1,000. In 2017, I paid $1,100 at another shop for just a basic ceramic coat. Street Shine Hawaii is located in Kapolei and I live in Kaimuki, but the drive was well worth it and I highly recommend this business. One of the things I look for is a clean and orderly shop, and I was pleasantly surprised to find has large indoor bays and the premises is neat and clean. I messaged the company on Yelp and received their package prices and agreed on the exterior detailing. I was most interested in the headlight restoration as well as the clear coat. Dropping off the car went smooth with the attendant taking my keys and letting me know to come back at 330, but I was not asked to confirm my desired service. I picked up my car at requested time and noticed several streaks on the hood. I asked the attendant to wipe them and he gladly wiped them. I paid the bill and left. Once I got home and saw the car in the light, I saw that the car was not detailed as I expected with the headlights still cloudy, yellow dust all over the tailgate, and water spots mostly over the whole car. After talking to Nate, he told me that only the interior was detailed and the exterior was only washed. Nate offered to take the car back to complete the requested service, and I met him the next day. Nate did a good job in resolving the situation, but I wish it was correct the first time. I am not sure if I will bring my vehicles back to this location for detailing services. read more

Just got off the phone with the business and I'm very disappointed. 1st off when I'm told I get 12 washes a year, I'll hold the business to that standard. Not lookin for free bees or anything else just for what I paid for and was sold. I invested $1047.11 on November 26, 2024 and would not have returned unless I needed warranty or additional work done. But the company did tell me that monthly washes were included. My family has been loyally going to street shine until today. But now, "they couldn't find the record". Also, because I couldn't remember his name, and said "I spoke with the African American guy", this seemed to offend him as I was referring to him as through color. I apologize for that, but I don't know you or that you owned this company or remember your name. I'm a very busy person and to have to deal with this was very unfortunate. I thought going here would be a good shift from my other detailer, you just have proven me wrong. I will no longer use this company for any of my vehicles. Lastly, you're using my Micronesian brothers to do your labor, if someone said I spoke with the Micronesian dude at your business that's maybe because they don't remember his name. Monday I called to set a Thursday appointment for a $199 Exterior Deep Clean. After the call I figured I would do a recon myself of the Kapolei Street Shine to make a down payment. Go check Nate out! He did four of my cars this past week. Each one day at a time. My ceramic coatings on three of my four rides had almost endured its five years. I had him do my 2017 Tacoma TRDPro, 2017 Accord Sport, 2022 RAV4 Prime and 2011 Sienna Limited. My Sienna was probably in the worst shape of the four cause it's the oldest and parked in the hot sun everyday. It also has the most surface scratches. This was my first time coming to Street Shine Hawaii in Kapolei. The person who helped me I believe is the owner was able to get me an appointment within days when I called. I did the ceramic coating for the full exterior and was told to leave the car at 9am and pick up the next day at 10am. When I picked up my car the worker was able to go over maintenance and any questions I had and was able to freely walk around and check the car. After initially looking everything looked great and I was happy. I should have took my time taking a look at the car because, When I got home I noticed a scratch/blemish (see image) near my fuel tank, it was never there before. I'm not sure if they scratch my car or the ceramic coating was missed at that one spot. Also the inside of my car I noticed around my glass and windows that there were smudges and dried up spots which I had to take care of and wipe it down. The service was great and I'd like to give 5 stars but I have to take away two stars for the scratch I found and smudges inside. read more

Id give 0 if there is. They dented my tesla that i just recently bought and havent gotten anything yet. They asked for a quoute so i asked gerber collisions to do the quoute for me. Its been 2 months and i havent got any check or whatever. They wanted me to go to the body shop that they know and for cheaper price. I dont go to shops that i dont know so no way. I paid for the $500 graphene detail and I'm very disappointed. The ceramic coating brand they use is "ShineTek" and a basic Google search for that brand shows nothing except for an auto detail shop in Canada whose name is "ShineTek". Same story with "Shine Tech". They don't show you the actual labeled bottle that the ceramic coating comes in, the employees there only carry around unmarked spray bottles with solution inside. Their attention to detail is below average. A complete "detail" should include removing the license plates and cleaning/coating behind them. (Pic shows the dirt line) The space inside the wheel's lugnuts should also be cleaned, all you need is a detailing brush to swirl around it but it wasn't even touched. (Pic included) The PAINTED portion of the inside of the wheel wells were also untouched. (Pic with arrows showing the part that was still dirty) The rear markers on the inside wasn't thoroughly cleaned, its as if all they did was wipe it with a LARGE rag versus a small detail rag to get into the crevice. I was willing to look past their unknown ceramic "brand" as long as the DETAILING part of their job was immaculate but it wasn't. The bulk of the cost to have your car ceramic coated is the "prep work" BEFORE the ceramic coat is applied. Strip wash, Iron X, claybar, polish, then ceramic coat. With all the discrepancies I found, I seriously doubt that even the ceramic coating part of the job was top notch. I didn't find any "high spots' (which is when the ceramic coat is not properly wiped off before it flashes/hardens) and now I know why. Its because they probably don't even use a legit ceramic coating that lasts 12 months, lol. They probably use a 6 month paint sealant or carnauba wax. I noticed that the business owner/manager doesn't even respond to any of the Yelp reviews, whether it's positive or negative. That's a bad sign right there and shows that they don't care about justifying their negative reviews or thanking their customers for the positive reviews. Other detail shops use established ceramic coating brands like CarPro, Adam's, Kamikaze, IGL, Opti Coat, etc, but they charge $1200-$2000. Street Shine only charges $300-$500 but the rationale of "you get what you pay for" doesn't even apply here. What they did was a BASIC interior/exterior auto detail job that should have cost around $150. The fact that they have other high-end cars there is irrelevant. Unless you are able to take a CLOSER look at the other cars and how "immaculate" they might be, all you are judging is the basic shine that comes with a basic detail job. ANYONE can put a gleaming tire shine on the tires and apply a wax/sealant to ANY car and make it look shiny from afar. In my opinion, what matters most is how it looks CLOSE-UP, that's why it's called auto "detailing". read more

I got a 5 year graphene detail and coating package for $499. I believe it's a promo price. If you want to do the glass & rims also, it's an additional $149. Still good deal. It's a 9am dropoff and a 10am pickup the next day. I was little worried to leave my car there overnight because it's in an industrial area, but they said they have a 24 hours security guy there. I'm so happy with their work because they did a really good job! Spotless. Made my car looks like a brand-new car. They also cleaned inside of my car & did a great job. Nate (I believe he is the owner) is very friendly, polite, knowledgeable, efficient and honest. He also responded my messages very quickly.
