This food causes illness. We visited this restaurant with high hopes due to majority of reviews and ratings seen online, only to be incredibly disappointed. I ordered the waffle and chicken. The waffle had an odd, burnt taste to it. The chicken was dry. But the worst part of it was that the food literally made me and those with me sick. Stomach pains, an urgent need for a restroom and discomfort. The seating area appears clean, the staff and waitresses were attentive and pleasant, but the food is obviously disgusting. POST COVID** This place has outdoor seating, as well as bar seating available. Came here with no reservation and was able to be seated within 5 minutes. Ordered the Fish and Shrimp Tacos for myself. The food was good but I found the tacos to be drenched in sauce. The Elote was just a bit over the top for me, covered in crunched up Cheetos. I don't like extremely gluttonous meals personally, so this place wasn't for me, but it probably is suitable to certain peoples palette. We inquired about the Mac and cheese prior to ordering fearing that it would give us Kraft vibes, and it was exactly as bad as we thought it would be lol. Definitely don't recommend that if you're a Mac and cheese lover. Our waitress was super friendly and personable which made the experience much better than it would've been. Solid 4 stars! I first found out about this place via Groupon...and then did some research via Yelp. What an interesting concept...bringing food truck favorites to your table. They have all the food truck staples..tacos, elote, sliders, nachos, mozzarella sticks, fried Mac and cheese...etc. For an appetizer my friend and I shared the flamin' mozzarella sticks. They were dusted with flamin' Cheetos. I didn't find them spicy at all. Now, I've never had flamin' Cheetos...but I believe they are spicy. Either way the mozzarella sticks were good. Not only did it come with marinara sauce, but it came with some cheese sauce too. For my entree I had shrimp fajitas. It isn't on the menu, but a special. Very tasty, filling and fresh. It came with 4 shrimp, guacamole, avocado, pico, sour cream, lettuce and onions and peppers in a cheese type sauce. My friend ordered pulled pork sliders with fries for his entree. The entree came with three sliders. He enjoyed it. I had some of his fries and they were lacking seasoning. It needed something! Always room for dessert! I had churros and my friend had a brownie. Both came with ice cream. To drink I had a Blue Point and my friend indulged in two different cocktails. I don't remember the ones that he had. I did notice that the menu had a different price than what I was charged for my beers, but it only differed by a $1. Service was pretty good. Our server explained the menu and answered our questions. He didn't rush us either. Prices are decent for the portion sizes. The booths are a little uncomfortable....however each booth has an outlet if you need to charge your phone. Nice new small spot in Merrick with a hypster vibe. Came here for a Friday dinner with a party of 7 and had a nice time. Its a small spot and we were considered a larger party so we had to wait a little which was totally fine. Had a few drinks at the bar which were reasonably priced. They even threw in some free shots for my cousins bday. Dont worry its not a wild spot or anything lol. For apps we split wings, nachos, and a spinach artichoke flat bread. They were all good but the flatbread took the cake. For dinner I got three tacos and my wife got the spicy chicken sandwich. Everything was great and would definitly get them again. My wife and I and 3 of my kids (who are picky) just walked in and have a table in a few minutes on a Sunday afternoon. I ordered the pulled pork tacos, absolutely delicious. My wife got the Nashville hot chicken sandwich, another hit. My daughter got the ramen stir fry and couldn't finish it, liked it so much that she had more of it for dinner. My last two kids are the picky one. One got the quesadilla and loved it, the other got the boring old chicken tender and fries, which was delicious too. Absolutely nothing bad to say about the food. Very good food, everything I've tried is delicious and worth the money, although it is on the pricier side. The service is always top-notch which is surprising considering they're always slammed. With a gorgeous but tiny interior and a nice little deck outdoors this small place pumps out an insane amount of food. I wish I was 21 so I could try their to-go cocktails because that whole concept sounds amazing. I do recommend this to anyone who can afford, my only gripe is the price but since they are a small business I still feel good supporting them.
