The biggest LET DOWN EVER. I ordered my streetstrider 3i November 8, 2018. The following happened...
1. They send this heavy, heavy package(s) via FED EX.. Apparently, in very small print, it states that you must be there to sign for it upon arrival. I found myself stuck at my home & rearranging my day for this. My 3i arrived at 9:15 pm, the last delivery. The box was shredded and looked like it came from half way around the world. Here's a lesson... If you order this contraption, I guess you'll have to open these packages and inspect it's contents before signing for it. I'm sure your local Fed EX driver will completely understand (enter sarcasm).
2. The following day, I proceeded to go through each box to make sure all parts are present for assembly. Then I proceeded to watch all the videos and started building. Be prepared for this process to eat a big slice of your day. Half way through, I successfully attached the right arm. Then I attempt the left... It was larger than the hole it was to go into. At this point, frustration is on it's way... I then contact technical support. Their associate, Donovan becomes my contact. This will become a long and difficult customer service nightmare.
In speaking with Donovan, I also realize how flat the tires are. He says it's a safety issue upon freight. Ok, I get that. However, it doesn't state anywhere that a tire pump is necessary for assembly as well a some lubricant. I'd think the consumer should be aware of these things. So, I go buy the tire pump and bike lubricant. Contact my neighbor to help me try to insert the left arm again.. And NO DICE!! It was clearly the wrong size. Why would I make this up???? Incredibly frustrated and then with no response back from Donovan, I know I have made a mistake in ordering this Streetstrider 3i.
There videos for assembly and also for preparing it's return. I then go buy bubble wrap & ziplock bags to return this contraption. I spent the majority of my evening following this video. I also had to return this thing in it's original, shredded box. Pretty much used a whole role of clear packing tape.
The following morning I contacted Donovan again. He seems to want to work with me and says he will send out another left arm of proper size. He reassured me that they would make it right. Still thinking I wanted this Streetstrider, I agreed. At this point, it's right before Thanksgiving. Side Note: Don't forget you have 30 days to return if you are not 100% satisfied.
Well, in a nutshell, he FORGOT. I only have a few lines to write. I'm stuck paying $182.30 along with paying for extra parts and shipping this monstrosity back. My time, like yours, is valuable. Don't waste your time. If this review saves one person, 1 penny it's worth it. Horrendous customer service.. You've been warned. They could've done me right, but they didn't. You guys should be ashamed. read more
