They're both amazing instructors. Jenny is so warm and attentive and really helps you get the most out of every move. Janice brings great energy and always knows how to challenge you in the best way without it ever feeling overwhelming. Every instructor brings their own style to the class which makes every workout unique and interesting. Since starting classes here I've noticed a big difference in my mobility and flexibility and I've become so much more aware of my breath. I was so panicked and had to get out of the car with him and didn't know where to go to call a tow truck or figure things out. This was the closest business that made any sense and when I came in, I was kindly greeted and explained my situation and the staff let us sit in the lobby while I waited for assistance. They were so kind as to play with the baby, offer us toys and a changing table, and kept asking me if I needed anything. I just wanted to publicly say thank you so much to everyone working for your kindness and making a super stressful situation easier. My first trainer moved a month in. Took two weeks to hear from the replacement who I learned at our first visit wasn't available when I was. So I left work early on trainer days to accommodate her schedule. She moved away three weeks later and it took another two weeks for a new trainer to contact me (so three total training weeks lost through no fault of my own). By that time, my 3-month contract was over. I asked for a refund for the three visits ($170) that were missed considering I'd held up my side of the contract and my work schedule is busy in the fall. I didn't want to extend. Denied. So be aware that there's zero wiggle room if THEY make a mistake, and you're held to paying for it either way. EDIT to add they offered a year for me to use the sessions they missed. But not being able to create a relationship with *a* trainer and now having one-offs available isn't helpful in my work schedule so I'll end up eating the money.

Ok, truth be told, I showed up at the gym around once a month and managed to produce soreness and random injuries that took a week or more to recover from. I was not in a good place. My wife was gentle, but insistent: "You're looking kinda pudgy" and "Did you move from your desk to do more than eat today?" She had a point. Finally, to avoid further spousal abuse, I agreed to meet Kathleen. Next thing I knew I was working out a couple of times a week in these structured, scheduled sessions. Kathleen's like that - she gets you moving. I felt better. A lot better. Then boxing. Not the "get the tar beat out of you by some incredibly quick, in shape guy" kind of boxing, rather, intense classes that focus on skills, mobility, flexibiltiy, quickness, and strength. The coach, mentor, instructor, Robert, is talented and very, very professional. I'm hooked. And wiped at the end of each class. It's a good feeling. Now, Kathleen and my wife have conned me into yoga. Seriously. Never saw that coming. For the uninitiated, yoga was designed by really good looking, really, really flexible women to humble middle aged inflexible men. It works. I'm humbled. I also feel a lot better after these sessions that work on flexibility, coordination, and balance. I actually kinda like this stuff. (Don't tell my wife). Bottom line: Kathleen and her crew are motivating and supportive in a way that works. The workouts are professional and structured, but varied and interesting. If you are like me and need that extra structure to keep going, this is a great program.

When tired, my posture (at least in the past) went to crap. With their help, my ergonomics have dramatically changed which broke a headache/migraine pattern for me and greatly reduced my pain. During the Pandemic, they were a lifesaver. I did once per week online training, and when I returned to in-person, they were respectful of wearing masks (and still will if you ask them to). They installed ceiling fans to keep the air circulation moving. They have one on one training as well as a great class called Strong Balance. Despite having severe spinal stenosis which causes sciatic pain in my legs, my training with Brenna has helped me maintain strength and flexibility as I age. I live in a townhouse with 3 flights of stairs, so I climb about 100 steps a day, with no pain or problem. My core is strong and I can do planks, squats, bridges and other exercises that help me keep doing daily activities easily.
