I was pleasantly surprised when Bailee streamlined the process without any pressure. She also offered me free trials of membership benefits like the red light therapy and the brand new cold plunge! Bailee was so friendly and helpful in assisting me in deciding on how to proceed with my membership choices in a non committal way like I wanted. A gentleman named Jake gave us a tour and was very respectful of the limited amount of time I had to spend on the tour. He also explained all about the included classes and ammeneties available at each location! A great part about Mountainside fitness is that they allow 12-year-olds to join so that means my daughter can come with me! I could not find another gym in the area that allows children under 13 to attend so I was really pleased at this privilege. I also liked that all the memberships allow you to go to any location.! I'm really grateful that Bailee was there to help, being that she was so knowledgeable on the membership options and perks! P.s. I love the cold plunge!

And the next thing is they have an old water fountain (like from grade school), the water is always lukewarm and tastes terrible. My husband had similar frustrations with working out. Luckily, he found Underground and we both enrolled and I'm so happy we did. I cannot say enough positive things. Our trainer (Danny) and coach (Shane) are both awesome. Danny has been fantastic with how positive and patient he is, especially with someone like me who's never even picked up weights in a gym before. He keeps workouts interesting and challenging. Shane helps provide accountability outside of the gym especially with eating; turns out I wasn't eating enough! Both are extremely knowledgeable and happy to pass along their knowledge. As for the gym itself. We signed up for semi-private sessions, but you get a lot of 1-on-1 time and it never really feels crowded. You never have to fight over equipment and everything is constantly wiped down. Also, scheduling sessions is easy and flexible. Honesty, my husband and I really look forward to going to the gym, it's actually fun, like really fun...not a chore. We've both changed physically, but also mentally. As a 13 year member of Life Time Fitness North Scottsdale, I've seen plenty of management come and…read morego, but the current group fitness leadership is easily the worst. Several of my favorite instructors are no longer there, and when asked, I've been told "I don't know", which is concerning in itself. Management should absolutely know what's happening with the instructors they hire, and they do, they just lie to your face to keep the peace. Later, finding out it's due to "low participation," which is hard to believe when I've personally seen classes with far fewer members remain on the schedule much longer and even management-led classes with only 2-3 people continue without issue. The inconsistency is obvious. After more than a decade of loyalty, it's frustrating to watch what was once a strong, community-driven program be undermined by poor leadership and questionable decisions.
