Upon entering, I was immediately struck by the cleanliness and visual appeal of the place. The friendly young lady at the counter assisted me in setting up for my session. Amazing experience today. As a runner, soccer player, skier, and exercise enthusiast, I have always looked for the right kind of treatment for my aging muscles. I am 58 this week and want to do three more marathons, play in my soccer league, and avoid pulled hamstring and calf muscles that seem to be more common as I get older. I tried yoga and did a lot of stretching in Kung Fu, but the stretching I did usually lead to more muscle pulls. I have a natural quick twitch muscle response and my worst muscle pulls came after a yoga class or after i did straight stretching. Thus, I went to learn about the stretch lab. I went today and the method they use made a ton of sense with a pull/push approach. After my session I road the elliptical for 120 minutes, slept without any calf cramps, and the pain in my right hammy is gone. This could be a short term affect but ill take it. I had been suffering from a number of painful spots including lower back pain, nerve damage in my leg, planters facetious, and right hip pain. Yeah, I'm old... When I found out the StretchLab in San Clemente had opened I stopped by for a 55-minute trial session. Ed worked with me my first day and did an amazing job in showing me the benefit of getting stretched. I signed up for their 8 25 minute stretches a month before leaving the building. It has been almost 3 months now and I can't believe it but I am almost pain free. My planters facetious is "gone"--yeah you heard that right. I had heard about Stretchlab and their methodology through a girlfriend. I was so excited to hear that a San Clemente site was opening, so I was one of the first to try a demo back in April 2022 when they had a soft opening. I fell in love with Anjali Patel, my flexologist, and have been steadily being treated by her every month since then. She is very knowledgeable when it comes to body mechanics and is attuned to detecting what your body needs. My body has benefited tremendously from the stretching. It has lessened my lower back sciatica episodes and have opened the range of movement in my tight neck and shoulders. It's natural, no medication and you'll feel refreshed. What a great concept! Have always been an avid proponent of yoga and massage to work out the "kinks" of sitting and everyday life. This is a great alternative! Every major muscle group gets stretched. I received a 50 minute stretch from Sandy. She started with a full body analysis to pinpoint areas which were problems. Then she proceeded to stretch all major muscle groups. It was amazing how much more flexible I was by the close of the session! I've been going to StretchLab San Clemente since it opened in May and I've seen remarkable results in my flexibility, movement and joint pain. I go twice a week and my Flexologist Anjali has worked miracles on my aging body. I have never been consistent over the years with any other exercise program but this assisted stretching method has worked for me. I suffer from arthritis and pain over the years in my hips that has prevented me from enjoying daily walks and neck pain that prevented me from turning my head easily. I suggested my husband try Stretchlab when they first opened because he is so stiff and not very flexible (with no intention of going myself, because figured I didn't need it since I stretch every day). Now he's been going to for months and noticed it was helping his flexibility, mobility and range of motion. I didn't think I really needed it, but since he was seeing results I figured I'd give it a shot. Now I've been going every week for a couple months seeing Anjali. Shes amazing. She helps me with specific stretches to help my lower back pain and range of motion and even makes recommendations of what I can do at home.
