A permanent nightmare. I got Strictly Cleaning Restoration to install a new hard wood floor in the whole apartment, plus the kitchen with Natural Stone Tile Basalt also a new closet with mirrored sliding doors, and three old closets distribution. The sliding door for the closet doesn't slide no matter how much lubricant, wax, sliding oils, etc., I had to fix the sliding doors tracks, the distribution of the closets a non functional lousy job, three barn doors that more or less are OK but the real "permanent nightmare" is the irritating squeaky new hardwood floor, uneven in some parts and as time goes by the noise is becoming worst. The only solution, according an old friend, an architect, is to change the whole floor area removing the one installed by Strictly Cleaning Restoration and putting a new one in order do the job properly. Mr. Hidalgo did the job on Spring 2018. I spent $20,000 plus for the job labor, $15,000 at The Home Depot in materials and almost $8,000 at the Hotel while the job at the apartment was going on. I got tapes where while walking the disgusting noise of floor can be heard. I was expecting that, maybe, with time the squeaky noise would fade away but no way. Now I contacted several well-known flooring companies to do the job properly. According to the technicians of these Companies, the job done by Strictly was a very bad one. I also want to point the man from Strictly Cleaning Restoration in charge of doing the job was always asking for tequila. The biggest mistake we did was paying the whole invoice without checking the finishing results, since we trusted Mr. Hidalgo not 100% but 1,000%. Now we must move to a hotel again $$$, new floor$$$$, new installation $$$$. At least all the new Companies I have contacted, offer a long warranty for the job to do. I utterly trusted Mr. Hidalgo because he did a great job when four years ago I had quite a big mold problem. My former positive review regarding Strictly Cleaning Restoration may be seen here in YELP. I am still wondering WHY?. Following up to Mr. Hidalgo reply to my review about Strictly Cleaning Restoration.: I don't want to slam anything nor your Company, I am just writing my bad experience with SCR last year. Mr. Hidalgo, you are good creating stories about the dirty sub floor, that I wanted to save money, that I didn't do bla bla and so on. I didn't discuss anything about all those explanations you are giving. I call you to do this renewal you told me the price and Mr. Tequila started to do the job, I paid you the total amount of the "job". I had no idea on how to put a wooden floor and I did not know the procedure. What I know is that anyone spending over $50,000.00 would save some bucks in avoiding cleaning the subfloor? Non sense!. By the way, the Company in charge of doing the floor has found no moister at all. Also, the problem with the squeaky noise, around the whole area is due to the bad way your people did the job. This is what the man in charge now has told me prior to installing any finished flooring, it is important to remember: Re-secure any loose wood subfloor planks, Oriented strand board, or plywood subfloors to the floor joists using 2-1/2" deck screws. Loose or damaged subfloors can cause squeaking and affect the performance of the finished flooring that is installed over it. Concrete slabs should be flat, use a leveling compound to fill any depression or voids. Nothing at this regard was done, nor recommended. You never told me about this. One of your men suggested me that the job wasn't properly done, but since they were fighting among them most of the time, I thought it was kind jealousy. Don't put the excuse of my cheap budget, I have never been cheap, and I always pay good and well with no questions but from now on I'll get well informed when requesting a renewal job and always with a Strictly Reliable Company with good "warranties". Now the only problem is that is that what your men did has to be done all over again. I still remember when the Coop building offered me their guys to do the job and I choose Strictly Clean Restoration because the job you did before when I bought the unit. I have seen the hardwood flooring the Coop men have done in front of my apartment with perfect finishing, I really regret refusing them at the time. I am just writing about the sad reality I suffeed regarding this job, nothing else. read more

A few weeks ago we had a major flood in our office which flowed down to the office below ours making a even bigger mess there. We called Jamie and he got started the next day. He made it clear that our problem was now his problem. He had lots of options and made sure we got what we needed and didn't try to sell us things we didn't need. They dried the things that could be dried and disposed of the things that couldn't be salvaged. They turned something that started out looking like a disaster into an inconvenience. They are amazing! Top notch work, trustworthy and efficient. Mr. Hidalgo helped us with a leak situation that required complete removal and replacement of our flooring. He was able to track down matching wood to the rest of our home that had been discontinued. Additionally, he sent regular updates and even photos to keep me in the loop on the process. I had a flooding issue due to a burst pipe in our neighboring tenant's space, and on the day after Christmas no less. Jamie got back to me the day I called, which is rare for many contractors in the city, and he was able to get to my location on the same day to assess things and give me a quote.
