From the second we walked through the door, the team treated us like family. They listened to exactly what Krista wanted for her trail adventures in the Black Hills, pulled out the perfect Trek model, and spent real time getting the fit spot-on so she feels confident and comfortable right From the beginning. The whole process was smooth, fun, and zero pressure. They answered every question (and there were a lot!), assembled the bike with expert care, tuned it perfectly, and even took it for a quick test spin to make sure everything was dialed in before we loaded it up. Krista has been grinning ear-to-ear on every ride since, and she keeps saying "this is the best bike I've ever owned!" If you're anywhere near Spearfish and need a new bike (or just great service on the one you have), do yourself a favor and go straight to Rushmore Bikes. This bike is 25 years old and was in mint condition with no scratches. The original paint is super strong and suffered a lot of damage because of Rushmore bikes neglect.

I talked to Stacey a few times to ensure that all was set. We had a 12:00 pm shuttle time from Hill City to Deadwood. We arrived at the shop at about 11:30 and tried the door but they did not appear to be open. This was on a Tuesday! I called Stacey who assured me that the driver was on the way and would be there no later than 12:15 pm. I gave her a call at 12:21 pm and did not reach her. I asked her to call me back. Never did get a call back. We waited till 12:30 pm and decided to create our own ride. The ride was GREAT! We rode from Hill City to a couple of miles past the Rochford Trailhead and then back. We would've liked to have done the Deadwood section. Maybe next time. I just know that we won't be using Rabbit Bike for our shuttle. Poor service and no follow up.

We chose the clockwise loop and going up the 17% grade on the E-Bikes was a breeze. Coasting down from the top for most of 9 miles was an absolute joy.
