Alex did a fabulous job installing a ceiling fan on my vaulted ceiling. It looks so good! He did everything and I didn't need to lift a finger. Moved furniture, used a drop cloth, pulled down the old fan, placed it in the garage with boxes that I'm taking to the dump, installed the new fan, and cleaned up after he was done. Alex was one of the few electricians I contacted that was willing to provide an estimate for a variety of residential tasks: Car charger/ circuit install, new outlets in BR and bath, bring a GFCI outdoor circuit up to code, ceiling fan install, and dryer vent fan booster install. He's a great guy and was very fair. Unfortunately my problem ended up being my generator relays that I didn't think about being the problem myself. But Strive figured it out for me. After getting ahold of my Generac dealer and thinking this was all under warranty for 10 years. It's only the generator itself that has a 10 year warranty. All the other electronics connected to the generator only has a one year warranty and my system is only 3 years old and these relays have failed. I only have two where other people have more than I do. Regardless these relays cost $300.00 each. Another $600.00 for relays only after 3 years isn't acceptable for as I'm concerned. Especially considering the same thing could happen again in another two three years that would be under warranty and I have to fork out another $600.00 possibly more with inflation? I highly recommend Strive if you need any electrical work done! But I certainly not recommend anyone wasting their time buying a Generac home generator that's nothing more then a money pit costing you hundreds if not thousands to keep it running properly year after year! Once again thanks to Strive for figuring out the problem was my Generator relays causing my range and dryer to both loose their power and had nothing else to do with the actual home electrical system! Personally I would of never considered the generator relays going bad only after about 2 1/2 years from the day they were installed! Original cost for the Generac home generator was $15,000.00. Figured that be the end of our costs for quite some time. Then the next year we get a call there's a mandatory service on the generator that has to be done for the 10 year warranty to remain in effect. That another $300.00 which we have to pay to have done every year! Now another $600.00 to replace relays that's not even 3 years old yet! I'd been better off living with the power outages we get once in a great while. Unfortunately being on a well for our water means we need power for the water to run too! Otherwise we wouldn't of messed getting a generator! read more
