My son is a freshman in High School and doing Zoom Classes was very difficult last semester. Our tutor Amanda was a huge help in getting Maxx's Honors Bio grade and Spanish grade up tremendously. This is long overdue - but I owe my all to this fantastic tutoring center. If it were not for this incredible group of people, I would not be in graduate school right now! With school starting up - whoever reads this, if you are trying to find a place for tutoring for your SAT, ACT, GRE and even with college applications - this is the place to go. I also am so glad that they offered college counseling, as well. I was struggling to find people who could help me with my GRE score as well as help me with my applications to colleges for my master's program in school psych. Thankfully, I came across this and heard through the grapevine that this was the place to be and boy oh boy, am I glad I came here. From the moment I stepped in here, I felt so welcomed and cozy as this office gives off a coffee shop vibe, so you don't feel like you're about to go into a tutoring session. I was welcomed with a warm smile from their receptionist, Bella, and was then offered a drink; which by the way, a fantastic variety to choose from - there was a Nespresso machine, teas, and a variety of drinks from Starbucks coffee to vitamin water and of course, to keep with the cozy vibe - they don't serve you drinks in styrofoam cups...no they serve it in real glassware! But it gets better... This team cares about you so much that they will do absolutely anything to help you get to your best you. Before I started my GRE prep - I was given a practice test so they could see where I was strong and where I lacked, and Josh helped me with this. I did not start strong - I had poor scores in math, English, and essay - and after three months of working with them once to twice a week - I ended up scoring in the 96th percentile of my GRE!!!! I COULDN'T BELIEVE IT - I CRIED! And this team is so personable that they all texted me congratulations and always checked in on me to see how I was doing. As for my college counseling, I was lucky enough to work with Melinda, who is the director of the psychology program as well as a professor at Fullerton for their Masters Program (and this is how you know this is an excellent tutoring center - when they have people who are experienced in their field). Since I was applying for a school psychology program - I was teamed up with Melinda who knew exactly what to look for. Melinda helped me create my curriculum vitae (resume), come up with my autobiography, and helped me build my whole application, and I am beyond grateful for her! The work she helped me create was so good that the director of my program now for my program even complimented me on it! I never hesitate to suggest this place ever! I would have a two-hour commute home from this place to home, but it was worth it due to the results that I received! Thank you so much, strive to learn for everything! We utilized Strive to Learn for our daughter Malia. She is the oldest in our family so navigating all that goes into the college application process was completely foreign to us. As such we purchased the comprehensive package as we felt it provided the best value for our needs. Malia was paired with William as her counselor and he was fantastic to work with. He did a great job in guiding her to look at different schools that may not have been on her radar based on various surveys she had completed. He kept her on task and we always knew when the deadlines were for the schools she was applying to. They worked closely on her college essays which was invaluable. I am SO glad I decided to work with Strive to Learn for all my grad school application needs and GRE prep. This was a great experience, they were flexible with our son's schedule and in just a few months of weekly tutoring our son went from a composite score of 27 to a 33 on the ACT. His English score went from 25 to 35! Josh R. was so helpful and knowledgeable, teaching my son so much more in the areas of Math and English, not just how to take the test. Best tutoring and test prep service around!! My kids came here for SAT and ACT prep, and we knew we had finally found the right fit as soon as we walked in. Everyone at Strive to Learn is so friendly and open, and the modern yet comfortable space feels like a cozy coffee shop. We tried several other places, but nothing really worked until Strive. Other places kept switching up the tutors, had crammed and loud spaces, and were just about pushing students through. Really responsive, quick customer service. I was given a diagnostic test the first day and at my request started tutoring the very next day. That is pretty impressive! I enjoyed working with Luc and learned a lot, and I appreciated Josephine's guidance and help. She really listened to me and my goals and worked with me - sometimes I find that is not always the case with tutoring centers. Everything was smooth and easy, even in the middle of the pandemic, and Luc and Josephine regularly checked up on me. After searching and paying outrageous amounts to many people and institutions for an ACT tutor, I feel like I hit the jackpot with Strive to Learn! My son, husband and I went in for a consultation with Josephine and we were so impressed with how knowledgable and compassionate she was. The thing that sealed the deal for me was watching my son's eyes light up and shoulders drop as if he had been carrying cement blocks on them. I'm not exaggerating when I say after 2 lesson his ACT score went up 2 points. Every test after that he continued to score higher. I wished we had found Josephine sooner. Our son goes to Strive to Learn for SAT tutoring and college counseling. It is going well and his tutor William always lets us know what they covered in their session. We've had a couple college counseling meetings with Andrea as well. I researched a bunch of tutoring companies and heard great things about Strive to Learn from a couple families we know. HANDS DOWN BEST TUTORING SERVICES! The tutors at Strive to Learn are excellent! They are so knowledgable in various subjects! I needed ALOT of help to prepare for my GRE and while I didn't know about any tutoring services in the area, I went ahead and called Strive to Learn. Immediately I received a call back and booked my first appointment. My tutor took the time to really see what I was struggling with the most and then we discussed the best approach to split up my hours. I recommend getting the package options they offer (5 or 10 hour package) and then you can continue with more hours or another package. I LOVE this place and the tutors have really helped me learn. My biggest thing throughout my search for a math tutor was making sure that I had someone who was PATIENT with me! LOL MATH HAS NEVER BEEN MY STRONGEST SUBJECT!
