Service is always friendly. Love the building! The turkey is my favorite. I think the smoked cream cheese is amazing also.

"Good beer, great atmosphere, but horrible and overpriced food."…read more Me and my bestie aka my girlfriend love to travel and we often will stay in a cool town that has several breweries all around it and this place happens to be one that we stopped in while having a mini getaway together. I've been to Brunswick several times in my life and I've always loved the town so I was excited to see someone put a brewery in since the last time I had been there. We stopped in on an early Saturday evening and it was pretty busy because they had live music which was good. We walked right up to the counter and I ordered: - ROYGBIV Power Sour 5/5 - Bar Room Hero Hazy IPA 5/5 We then proceeded to grab a table outside and enjoy our beers while listening to the music and watching all the people enjoy themselves too while we laughed and had good conversation. We hadn't ate much all day so we decided to get something light to eat. My girlfriend walked up to the counter and ordered us a hot dog and Brie with Jam and Pita. The hot dog was decent but the Brie and chips were disgusting to say the least. The price for the Brie was even more disgusting than it tasted for a very small wheel of store bought stale tasting cheese and even staler chips, yikes! I love the building, its history, the whole layout, and vibes of this brewery, but I'd never order food from here again. EVER! Will I come back to have more beers the next time I am in the area, probably but I won't go out of my way, that's for sure.

Fast forward to now and things are much better running. Beer wise there are options for everyone. I'm a big fan of the following: 1. Gandy Oatmeal Stout 6.1% ABV. Strong but not overpowering coffee and chocolate aromas and flavors. This is smooth and super tasty. 2. "Midnight Slug" Extra Special Bitter 5.8% ABV. An old school style not found much anymore. Nice malty flavor up front and bitter on the finish. 3. Maryland Rye Maryland Rye IPA 6.7% ABV. Spicy black pepper notes from the rye make this IPA special. Vibe: blue collar town bar like. They have food that looked and smelled good but we just had lunch and focused on the beer only. Service was great.

We have been coming here for 20 years and have never had a bad experience…read more The meat has always been top notch and the staff is so helpful and friendly even though they are usually very busy. I ordered a prime rib to smoke for Christmas dinner and set the date to pick it up and discussed how many pounds I needed for the amount of people we are having. I got there when they opened and there was already a line around the corner. No fear, they have so many people there I was in and out in 20 minutes. Told them we added two more people on and he recommended how much and cut it. I asked him to slice off the bone and butcher twine it back together. They had told me there was $5 charge when I preordered on the phone and I told him that was fine. When I told the guy today that I was smoking it and would cut off the twine, season the part where the bone was and twine back together, he told me he would net it after cutting the bone off and didn't charged me. This is choice meat but it is as close to prime as can be and their price was cheaper than other butchers I checked with.

I was charged $25 just for cutting, which I accepted. However, the issue came with the weight. I was initially told the lamb weighed 38 pounds. When I questioned it and asked them to weigh it again, the number changed to 36 pounds. What made the situation worse was that I was not allowed to enter the room where the scale is located, so I couldn't verify the measurement myself. This raised serious concerns. When I got home and weighed the meat myself, it came out to only 32.6 pounds -- a significant difference. And now I do not even the price per pound which is , $8.95. I did not expect this kind of experience. Transparency and honesty should be basic, especially when customers are paying based on weight. This experience has unfortunately affected my trust.

The white bean soup came with white bean fritters, which were crunchy but with a lentil-like texture on the inside. The waiters came and poured the soup directly with the minced vegetables. The halibut was cooked well and tasted great but the real star was the andouille sausage and shrimp jambalaya--excellently seasoned. The creamy sauce on top of the rice made every bite feel fulfilling. The added microgreens added a freshness and crunch to the meal. The menu is expertly chosen and the meals are balanced and flavorful, and they vary often. Their website is not always up to date and depends on what is in season. My only gripe is that the portions are small for the price, but it's worth it!

They source everything locally, even their own home grown vegetables, etc. Jason, the chef, is an artist with every item on the menu. Appetizers are incredible. Try their pâté! We always pair our dishes with their recommendations for wines and it's on point. Main dishes are to die for. Their sauces, the combination of flavors, presentation, the "extra" in every dish and bite is so good. They will accommodate you and change sauces to dairy free if you need that. We had the rockfish dish and the ribeye steak. Wow! Both were incredible. Salad before our main dishes, simple but an incredible and unusual combination and flavor. Desserts, yum! Amazing service! They went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect (celebrated my bday there this weekend) . Friendly, professional, attentive, happy, and they genuinely care about your experience there. Highly recommend! The vibe is always warm and inviting. They renovated recently and they have an area for you to have a drink before dinner in a separate area. So perfect!
