Drove from downtown Frederick to this hidden gem! The pizza (meat) was off the chain and the wings were amazing! The staff was polite and always asking if we needed anything! We joined after 10pm which I didn't know they are open until midnight on Friday and Saturday, which is awesome! My only suggestions is to fix some of the signage, as the hours aren't correctly posted on their building and online. Also, update the mobile app so that it doesn't say your order is ready at "restaurant", should be the business name. But the food and service were great and that's the main point! read more

Ordered a Brooklyn style pizza with custom toppings (pepperoni, black olives, and hot honey). It was so tasty! The pepperoni was the small kind which always seems to be a higher quality. Also ordered some onion rings for a starter - delish! This is a small place which does a huge take out business, but it has several tables as well. Very clean. Has a couple of tv's if a game is on. I'm a wing snob to say thee least! I tried this place for lunch the first time on 12/28 because a dear friend suggested it - got 2 orders of lemon pepper wings fried crispy. My father wasn't a fan & I have to admit neither was I... they just weren't my idea of good - they were fried way to hard, greasy and every bite tasted like oil instead of the flavor I requested. I wasn't driving all the way back from Martinsburg, WV to return them...now I do believe in 2nd chances....so I went back on 1/17/19, soons I walked in I was greeted by Jen who was pleasant. I ordered the same exact thing - and let me tell you!!!!! TOTALLY DIFFERENT EXPERIENCE ---as soon as I opened the container before a bite ---- my taste buds began to dance. Just by the apperance I knew they were official. I regret not taking a picture - but kudos to the Chef aka DaMon working Thurs nite.... The wings were cooked EXACTLY the way I wanted with that perfect Crisp crunch every bite, the seasoning wasn't too over powering & most importantly ---- grease wasn't oozing down my chin!!!! We ordered from this place a while ago. The food just wasn't good. The pizza was (buffalo chicken I believe) very thin and under cooked, and the pieces of chicken were huge chunks on a floppy pizza. The wings were also pretty bad. The sauce wasn't thick enough to coat the chicken that well. Maybe it was just a bad night, but it was the worst pizza and wings I've ever had. We were in the area around lunchtime and did an online search for restaurants. We chose this place based on the reviews of their wings. When we pulled up we weren't sure if the establishment was still open. It sits off the road behind a closed car wash. It's a small place (only about 6 tables) and we noticed that most people called in for carry out orders. They have a good sub special for lunch and daily meal specials. We ordered wings with two different sauce flavors - 'Bama BBQ and Spicy Garlic. Both were really good. The 'Bama BBQ was similar in taste and consistency to Sweet Baby Rays. The Spicy Garlic has enough spice to have noticeable heat but not so much that it burns your mouth & lips. We also ordered the Rachero pizza. It was SO good! We had LOTS of food leftover which we'll enjoy for dinner tomorrow night! read more

Had the meatball sub here. They leave the meatballs whole on the sub which can sometimes lead to one jumping ship, but the roll comes to the rescue and is quality bread. The sauce tastes pretty fresh, made me think of a marinara. This is a saucy meatball sub. Cheese was a little light - didn't really notice it too much. Ive been here maybe three times over four years when I'm in the area, so kinda hard to develop an overall opinion of the place. It doesn't suck though. I think most people would be satisfied. Food arrived on time, hot and the delivery lady was great. Wings - Sweet garlic sauce was runny and not thick enough to stick to the wings. I was left with a hint of sweetness and honestly couldn't taste the garlic. Ranch wrap - Small amount of Ranch dressing within the wrap which was filled with cut up chicken tenders, tomatoes and lettuce. We've given them a shot a few times. Other than being overpriced, the service is rough at the very least. On the phone they are short and rude, if they answer and don't place you immediately on a long hold. My husband called in a order for pick up, and left a tip even though he was going in to pick up the order and the person behind the counter complained loudly about the amount of the tip. We stumbled upon this little "shack" accidentally, after tubing on the river all day. Someone in our group spotted a hand-written sign that read "The Pig Hole" along with a big smoker in use near the road. We piled in here 12 people deep; the service was great and relatively fast, not to mention the food was fantastic. The Memphis style pulled pork was terrific! We also tried the pizza (pepperoni and ground beef), which we loved. The wings were very good, and everyone who had the mac n cheese said it was great as well. The salad was fresh spinach with real good bacon, the bruschetta tasted great though I'd suggest ordering without onions. The building could go for some serious maintenance TLC but the cooking area seemed clean. There is no table service but there are three tables to sit at and about 5 barstool seats at a high long counter. The service was very friendly and provided great recommendations. I hate to give a local spot such a terrible rating, but honestly, the food is just not good. They have the worst fries and don't even get me started on their "cheese fries". My husband ordered boneless wings and they were horrible. He said it's the worst meal he's ever paid for. The online ordering is glitchy, too. I ordered chicken tenders for my boys and the website forces you to choose a dipping sauce, even if you don't want one, but what's worse, it charges you a $1.00 each for the dipping sauce that you DO NOT want. My daughter did like her steak and cheese sandwich, which was a good size for the money. My caesar salad was not great either and had breaded chicken that was very crunchy. I've never had a caesar salad with breaded chicken on it before. The delivery driver was very nice and the food came in about an hour. Unfortunately, we will not be ordering from here again. I went with the large Turkey Bacon Sub. Sigh... The bread was good, the veggies were decent, the turkey was good too. The bacon, ugh, the bacon was AWFUL. Wing N Pizza Shack is primarily for pizza... right? The bacon on my sandwich was clearly the crumbled bacon they use to put on the pizzas. Therein lies the problem, when you make a pizza you put on the toppings & BAKE the pizza. For all intents and purposes, the bacon on my sandwich being the crumbled bacon they put on pizzas & was NOT baked was basically raw bacon. Yes, pinkish, chewy & totally unappetizing.
