Stromboli's is our go-to place for a quick, yummy, reasonably-priced meal. I love the eggplant parm sandwich and the pasta salad that comes on the side. The Bianco pizza is really good, too. And the pre-meal fresh bread is a must have. Never been disappointed here. read more

I have been eating here for 20 years. I go to lunch at Stromboli's once a week. I have never had a bad meal in over 1000 meals. Good size portions and fresh bread cooked in a brick fired oven. This place is packed almost daily when I go at lunch during the business work week. I had 3 friends / co workers go with me at lunch once and we had to go AWAY because there was NO SEATING, it was that busy! It is a great place, SUPER FAST and busy. Go early around 11:45AM to beat the rush. Nice meal, love their pasta salad and I do NOT normally like that, I can get a good meal for about 9 dollars and it has soda with it and great bread and olive oil with parmesian cheese. Stromboli's is a great casual place. It is an "Order at the counter" place but the food is as good as any sit down Italian restaurant. Love their red sauce and specials, from homemade raviolis to sauteed seafood dishes. The owner is also very friendly. He take time to walk around and talk with all of his customers. read more

I'd say that Stromboli's by far has the best take-out in Billerica. Their pizzas are consistently good with fresh ingredients and great variety. They make some amazing specialty pizzas with toppings like romano cheese, ricotta, prosciutto, and other very traditional italian choices. Their other italian fare is also great, but I think they really shine with their pizzas. I will say though, that if you're looking for the most food per dollar, this place isn't for you. You won't find "2 pizzas and a free 2-liter of soda for 9.99" deals here. I'm glad, because I personally think that monster pizzas with canned tomato sauce and cheap cheese that turns into a lake of grease when cooked are gross. I know lots of people that want that stuff though, and there are plenty of other places around where you can get that. I'd also like to comment on how clean the place is. I recently picked up an order close to their closing time and they were literally scrubbing down the stainless steel kitchen walls as part of their closing procedures. I've worked in a restaurant for quite some time, and let me tell you, cleanliness is a big deal in my book. It's apalling how many places just don't clean at all. Thankfully Stromboli's isn't one of them. It also shows that the owner/management cares a lot about their business. read more

I love the Venetian Chicken here and hardly ever get anything else. My husband likes the chicken or eggplant parm. We love the bread that comes with. We go and pick it up and bring it home, but it is clean to sit and eat there. Kids are always there, so family-friendly. I have never ordered for delivery. I like how the food tastes like fancy restaurant food but I can bring it home and have it by my fireplace. read more

We couldn't help it. My wife and I had the day off on a Friday a couple weeks ago and thought we'd give them another shot since it was during the day and this time we'd pick up the food. I was told it would be ready in 30 mins so I arrived after 30 mins and was told it would be right out. While I'm waiting I overheard the woman behind the counter on the phone talking to someone who clearly wasn't happy that their order wasn't delivered yet as she kept telling the person on the phone that the delivery guy was on his way. She then called the delivery guy asking where he was and said that the person who ordered their food wasn't happy. I ended up waiting another 20 mins for my food and during that time someone called back, most likely the same person, and told the woman to just cancel the order. I know this because she then called the delivery guy and told him to forget it and just come back to the store. Clearly I'm not the only one who has a problem with their delivery times but that shouldn't cause me to have to wait 50 mins for two small pizzas. I'm pretty sure that our food wasn't even in the oven when I got there 30 mins later, as instructed. The only positive is that when my food was finally ready it was actually hot but the wait time was ridiculous. Not sure if they are truly that busy all the time and need more delivery drivers but they certainly can't be trusted for prompt delivery and now it seems that even picking up food is no guarantee that it'll be ready on time. read more

I heard a lot of good reviews about this place so I decided to order in and see for myself what it was all about. I got the family meal combo (via a coupon I received in the mail) which consisted of 2 pasta dinners, 1 Caesar salad, garlic bread with cheese & 1 two-liter soda. The food came packaged separately: drink in one bag, pastas in another and the salad and bread bundled into the last box. I appreciated that and it did in fact make sure my food came hot. But their boxes (that they store the pasta in to get it to you) are so flimsy that despite the careful packaging of the other two parts of the meal, the pasta came out of its box and ruined the bag. I was able to put the bags on a table and stabilize the situation. I popped off the lids and thought that was that. Wrong. In the middle of eating I find this tiny chunk of plastic in my food, I shake it off and keep eating bc I'm hungry. A little bit later I accidentally bite into a big chunk of clear plastic in my pasta. I pull it out and keep eating because apparently I have no common sense. About 3 bites later another piece of plastic comes out. At this point I finally stop eating and dig around my pasta, I keep finding these random pieces of plastic. Upon further investigation I discover that the box that the pasta came in had chipped off chunks and fell into the pasta. This is especially disappointing given that the pasta itself was good. You could definitely tell that the noodles were homemade, they were really delicious! My fettuccine had more butter in it than cheese though and it overall was a little rich for my palette. But it was worth it for those noodles. On the other hand, my shrimp was cooked perfectly. My sister got the chicken piccata and the chicken was a little over cooked but the sauce was good. The garlic bread was a trip though! It was bread coated with this butter sauce that had herbs in it topped off with a slice of cheese. I'm not really sure how this happened but somehow the tips of the bread were burnt a bit while the cheese/butter combo wasn't really cooked in the middle.To be honest overall, the food was okay--it was the whole deal with the plastic pieces that ruined things for me. I have ordered from here a few times for lunch delivery at work. The garlic cheese bread is my favorite, to die for! The calzones and pizza are good but I ordered the fetuccine alfredo once, and I was disapointed, They hake their own pasta, and it may have been because it was delivery but it was all clumped together, not much sauce and the little sauce there was wasn't very tasty. I also order buffalo tenders and those were not good at all. I still order from here but keep with what is good. read more

Do NOT get the Focaccia pizza. I actually had to return it. I love pizza and it's hard for me to find one I don't like but I know excellent pizza from horrible pizza and have eaten enough pizza that I can judge everything in between. The Focaccia pizza was dry as a desert with bread like cardboard. I tried to explain this to the owner as nicely as I could but he didn't want to listen and tried to convince me it was good pizza, it's not. I asked him to do a little test, leave FREE slices out in his location in return for honest feedback on a simple survey form. Get input from several people. If he gets honest feedback anonymously then he will know exactly what I am talking about. In fairness, I can't speak much about their other pizza and I did appreciate getting a refund which I thought was good customer service. read more

Being a non-local, we relied on the yelp reviews and decided to give this place a shot. The pizza was awful. Oily, greasy and filled with mountains of cheese, and not much taste. It's a shame, because the wood fired oven really sets expectations higher than what the cook delivered. This place could be so much better. We ordered a couple of pizzas yesterday. The pizza tasted good but my friend's daughter suddenly had something stuck in her tooth. We pulled out what looked like a small shard of wood. This was strange but we continued eating thinking nothing of it... then I bit into something hard, then the same happened to my friend. We pulled out small hard pieces out of each pizza. They did not look or smell like any spice. To us they looked like small pieces of wood. I have ordered pizza from this place for years and have never had an issue. We stopped eating and threw out the rest. My friend called to tell the owner what we had found. We weren't asking for a refund or even a replacement pizza but what she got was an argument!!! Talk about terrible customer service. He assured her that he has been in business 18 years and has never heard such a thing. His pizza maker is "the best" and would notice something like this. He told her that it was probably a piece of burt chicken... I think we would know what a piece of burt chicken looks like and how does that explain the shards in the cheese pizza.
