    Penne Arrabbiata
    Meghan K.

Stopped by Tremezzo on a Tuesday night and the bar was fully packed and the restaurant was lively. Our waitress was attentive. Complimentary focaccia bread to start was delicious. The Penne Arrabiata was delicious and big portion, enough for leftovers. The pasta came with a salad which was also a decent size. My significant other got the SMO-BERTO pizza which he said was okay. We finished our meal with creme brûlée which was very good! Overall, food was good and if we were in the area we would stop by again.

$30 for this salad I could have thrown together for much less!

I was extremely disappointed with the food quality and presentation provided by this catering company. The chicken parmesan was very dry and lacked the quality I would expect from a professional caterer. The Caesar salad appeared to be nothing more than roughly chopped romaine lettuce thrown into a tin pan with very little attention to presentation or preparation. The cheese and cracker platter was particularly disappointing. It was overpriced for what was provided, and honestly, I could have put together something far more attractive and appealing myself for a fraction of the cost. Several of my guests commented on the food, and one guest specifically asked for the name of the catering company so they could make sure never to use them in the future. That alone speaks volumes about the impression the food and presentation left. When hiring a caterer, you're paying not only for food but also for quality, presentation, and professionalism. Unfortunately, this company fell short in all three areas. I would not recommend them based on my experience.

This was our first time here and we definitely be back! We came in an hour and a half before close and although it was a packed Friday night, they sat us immediately at a high top in the bar. The staff were amazing. Our server, Donna, was incredibly kind, knowledgeable and attentive. We started the dinner with honey ricotta dip (subbed hot honey for the kick) and it was not only delicious but, beautiful. I ended up getting the pistachio salmon special and my boyfriend got the short rib fusilli - both very tasty. We ended the meal with the cannoli cheesecake, which is locally sourced from their bakery, Josie's. All together, the experience was 5 stars.

I booked Tremezzo's for a baby shower and worked with Margie the function coordinator. She was amazing and organized. The shower was a huge success and the food was delicious. We received so many compliments on the venue/food and service. I purchased the cupcakes next door at Josie's Bakery and received a 15% discount for having the function at Tremezzo's as well. The cupcakes were made to order and delicious. I highly recommend Tremezzo's and Josie's Bakery for a function and ask for Margie as she helped to make this event run seamless and was a huge success! Thank you Margie, I will recommend you and Tremezzo's to all my family and friends for a function hall. Donna R Billerica

I've had two marvelous dinners here. The food is amazing (I recommend the short rib fusilli bolognese if you're looking for a hearty meal) and the service is top notch. I love their bead service, too--the warm bread and oil is a lovely start to the email. The parking lot sucks and is almost always full, which I guess is just a testament to how popular this place is. I recommend making a reservation or calling ahead, and I definitely recommend eating here

Really great experience at this lovely, local spot. As Wilmy people, we love to support the local businesses. We had a large party (about 15 adults and 3 kids) and the waiter handled it like a champ. He was very attentive and served everyone's drinks and meals quickly. I was impressed all the food came out at the same time and give huge props to the chef for handling such a large group of orders. The food was great! I got the salmon and Caesar salad. The lunch was for a special 60th birthday and the guest of honor loved her chicken parm. The restaurant was clean and you can even see the chefs hard at work in the back with the glass windows to the kitchen. I've been to this spot a few times and it has great Italian food, but I was wicked impressed by how well the waiter and chef handled our party. Especially while a baby shower was going on in the next room! Great service and great food!

I lived in Wilmington for 28 years and have eaten at Tremezzo countless times. Food is always fresh and delicious. Enjoy outstanding complimentary focaccia bread and dipping oil upon being seated. The bar is a favorite of locals so get there early on the weekends! Food gets a definite 5 stars. Sometimes service can be slow (hence overall 4 stars)--some servers are more attentive than others, but owners do great work within the community and that makes it a special place. There's also a separate function room for small parties or large family gatherings. Yummy desserts are homemade at their sister bakery located 3 doors down.

Who knew they were such a good Italian restaurant north of Boston, that wasn't in the north end? We went here on Saturday night for a last-minute birthday dinner for a friend.table for two. I was able to get a reservation for two folks and end up eating outside! What a bonus! We started off with drinks. A chocolate pomegranate martini. Sounds so weird, but he said it was fabulous. I got a glass of wine. We ordered the calamari appetizer. He got the butternut squash and pumpkin ravioli and I got chicken Parm. My portion was ginormous. I ate half, and I probably still have enough leftovers for two more meals lol. My friend ate all of his butternut squash ravioli and said it was really good. He particularly liked the creamy sauce and the nuts on top. Our way to was very attentive and helpful. We will definitely be back. The only downside? We had a 730 dinner reservation. By about 830, the mosquitoes were out. They were pretty bad. We got bit a few times but we hadn't finished our meal and couldn't leave, so that was a little bit of a downside. I'm not sure how to rectify that though. All in all? Pretty damn good. And happy.

    Chicken Parm, delicious.

My wife and I made a reservation for a Saturday night and upon arrival were seated immediately. To…read morestart, we ordered a perfectly cooked octopus antipasti, followed by tortellini alla norcina, and for a secondi the vitello alla petroniana (we were debating between this pasta/secondi combination and the pasta bolognese/swordfish special - will have to come back to get these next time!). I don't typically eat veal, and this cutlet was perfectly balanced - rich, savory, crispy, with a pleasant (but not overwhelming) salty kick from the prosciutto and parmigiano reggiano. We also ordered the spicy broccolini, which I highly recommend for the garlic lovers out there. For dessert we had the dark cherry (amarena?) gelato, which was delicious and creamy, with the perfect amount of sweetness. We shared each dish, and it was certainly plenty of food for the two of us. Prices felt reasonable for the amount and quality of what we ordered (all of the above + 2 drinks from the bar totaled approx. $160 pre-tip). The restaurant space itself is relatively small but has enough space to move around comfortably, which made it cozy without ever getting too loud (it was a pretty full house when we went), with a balanced dim lighting. Additionally, the staff were friendly and knowledgeable, and the server patiently walked us through the menu and shared suggestions at our request. On a personal note I am especially appreciative of the staff, as I accidentally left without my hat, and the restaurant responded almost immediately to the message I sent through the restaurant website that same evening. Tl;dr - great menu, rich & hearty but balanced ingredients/recipes, and comfortable vibe. One really gets the impression that the husband/wife owners had a specific vision that they successfully brought into reality.

The atmosphere is cozy and intimate, so it's a great place for date night. The Fantastic: 1. Service -- our waiter was amazing, he took great care of us. We wanted for nothing! 2. Tortellini Alla Norcina -- this was delish. It was creamy, a little funky, and the pasta was cooked perfectly. 3. Cacio e Pepe -- also delish. 4. Mussels -- perfectly cooked, big and plump, and the bread to sop up the broth was also yummy. The plates are beautiful, but I think that plating and presentation takes priority over the food sometimes: 1. Bruschetta -- this was supposed to come with a balsamic drizzle, but it was served on a wooden plate and the drizzle was tiny and thin, so there wasn't really any balsamic. The dish could have used it to help cut through the cheese. 2. Bombolone -- dry, there was not a lot of custard in the pastry, and the surrounding sauces were more decorative than helpful. We did not enjoy the mixed drinks, they were all on the sour side and watery. So I would stick with wine or beer, the wine we had was excellent. Overall, we had a really nice time and would return.

Wow. This is the fastest I ever wrote a review after leaving somewhere. This was also the worst…read morerestaurant experience of my entire life, so the urgency is warranted. And I've eaten at probably over 250+ restaurants in my adult life. Why was it so bad? The salami on the antipasto salad was so rancid, my poor wife almost immediately vomited when she took a bite. And I mean she instantaneously gagged audibly and could barely maintain her composure. She felt embarrassed but when I smelled the salami I completely understood why she would react that way. It smelled like it was bad a week prior. We told the waitress, who took the food back. The kitchen staff had informed her they checked the salami and it was fine. My wife works in food service and said this salami was rancid. I have no such experience and could tell by scent and sight that this was badly spoiled. It was yellowish in some areas. I wanted to leave then, even though we had an entree on the way. I took one look around at the dated, cheap decor, the nasty blinds caked with dust and food particles, and thought to myself: this is one of those places from Kitchen Nightmares, where Gordon Ramsay would pop out, shut the place down, then go stick is hand in some slop in the back. A supervisor comes out and explains that they aren't saying we are wrong, but that the salami they checked was okay. That the portion we received might have been spoiled, but they assure me the rest isn't. C'mon. If the kitchen staff couldn't admit or tell this was revolting, then what the hell else were they going to serve me? I soon found out. We got the chicken francaise which is a cutlet dredged in egg and tossed in flour. It should be like a pan-seared cutlet with a slight coating. No, what we were served was a chicken cutlet inside an omelette. Swear to god. There was visible egg scramble layered on top and the bottom of the chicken. I was absolutely starving so I had a couple of bites. I commented on how it was like an omelette and my wife responded "that's what it is like!" And then commented on the egg smell. This was the grossest texture you could imagine. Our waitress had just come over to ask how our food was. We asked her to take it away and said it was the worst meal of our lives. I felt terrible for her. She felt so bad and was clearly nervous. We told her not to be sorry repeatedly as it wasn't her fault. It was the kitchen. They comped all the food, which we didn't really eat, but made us pay for our cocktails. Fine. Although considering the fact they ruined our night and we left hungry, they really should have comped those too. It was that bad. I had 7:45PM reservations. As I type this it is 9:14PM. I ordered DoorDash over 15 mins ago as you can see by the pics I have provided. All of this tonight that happened is true and I sincerely hope people read this and think twice about going there. I read another review that said it was the best food of their life. I joked that's because they died immediately after. This food was disgusting, low quality, and the place is a dump.

First off, the Lotus Rangoon--crispy, creamy, and made with actual crab. Not the "crab-ish flavored mystery filling". Real crab. Did you hear me ?? Real crab. And this amazing dipping sauce. The Vietnamese pork chop showed up perfectly seared, tender, and packed with flavor, served with fragrant jasmine rice and veggies. Delish!!! The wonton soup was incredible--tender dumplings, lots of veggies and noodles with a broth that felt like it could fix your entire life. Then came the chicken parm. When I say huge, I mean New England snowstorm eat for days huge. Crispy, perfectly cooked, sitting ontop of angel hair pasta with crusty bread on the side. We also tried the chicken and eggplant parm combo, which could easily feed a small family. Thin, crispy cutlets, perfectly breaded eggplant, marinara, melted mozzarella...just ridiculous in the best way. The prices are very reasonable, the portions are enormous, and the staff is genuinely warm and welcoming. So yes, you should absolutely try this place.

The menu shows a variety of both Vietnamese and Italian appetizers and entrees, plus just enough options which overlap in interesting ways. The inside is beautiful, but still small. The main dining area has 6 tables which can accommodate around 20, and there's more seats in the bar area at bistro tables and at the bar itself. We opted for Vietnamese fare on this return visit. Some of the items, such as our summer rolls appetizer, remain traditional in preparation and presentation, while others, such as our entrees, are what I guess you'd call elevated. Overall, everything was fresh, well prepared, and came out quickly. Our appetizer, the summer rolls, came with a dipping sauce that was rich and thick and quite flavorful, making us work to get every drop of it. The sauce for our entrees was equally rich and thick (not nuoc cham), and it tasted good on everything. We ordered lemongrass chicken and lemongrass beef entrees. These came with perfectly steamed broccoli and carrots, and a choice of jasmine rice or jasmine rice pancakes. The pancake was actually the jasmine rice mixed with additional butter and chives, shaped into a pancake. The chicken was not grilled pieces, but rather tenderloins with skin on them, evidently fried, both crisp and juicy. We did not order anything from the Italian portion of the menu, but I did see several entrees at other tables. The portions are generous. It was interesting to see the mix of choices at other tables - one party had ordered both spaghetti and meatballs and pho. I liked everything about my dinner here, and I hope their venture is successful.
