Stopped by Tremezzo on a Tuesday night and the bar was fully packed and the restaurant was lively. Our waitress was attentive. Complimentary focaccia bread to start was delicious. The Penne Arrabiata was delicious and big portion, enough for leftovers. The pasta came with a salad which was also a decent size. My significant other got the SMO-BERTO pizza which he said was okay. I was extremely disappointed with the food quality and presentation provided by this catering company. The chicken parmesan was very dry and lacked the quality I would expect from a professional caterer. The Caesar salad appeared to be nothing more than roughly chopped romaine lettuce thrown into a tin pan with very little attention to presentation or preparation. The cheese and cracker platter was particularly disappointing. It was overpriced for what was provided, and honestly, I could have put together something far more attractive and appealing myself for a fraction of the cost. Several of my guests commented on the food, and one guest specifically asked for the name of the catering company so they could make sure never to use them in the future. That alone speaks volumes about the impression the food and presentation left. When hiring a caterer, you're paying not only for food but also for quality, presentation, and professionalism. This was our first time here and we definitely be back! We came in an hour and a half before close and although it was a packed Friday night, they sat us immediately at a high top in the bar. The staff were amazing. Our server, Donna, was incredibly kind, knowledgeable and attentive. We started the dinner with honey ricotta dip (subbed hot honey for the kick) and it was not only delicious but, beautiful. I ended up getting the pistachio salmon special and my boyfriend got the short rib fusilli - both very tasty. I booked Tremezzo's for a baby shower and worked with Margie the function coordinator. She was amazing and organized. The shower was a huge success and the food was delicious. We received so many compliments on the venue/food and service. I purchased the cupcakes next door at Josie's Bakery and received a 15% discount for having the function at Tremezzo's as well. Very good food and service. Very pretty inside. I went here on a Monday night and it was just as crowded as it would be on a weekend, which is always a good sign! My party and I shared for appetizers only and didn't get any meals but they were all very good. We have the lobster, burrata and tomato salad, a caesar salad, the Shrimp grand manier and the garlic parm wings. They were all delicious, but for me the shrimp was my least favorite (but I don't typically like food that's super sweet and it did have a sweet glaze to it) but it's still recommend! read more

Attended a family get together here. The event room was a great size and the staff waiting during the event were amazing. Very attentive and helpful especially having small children they made sure the kids were taken care of! The food was amazing! I have spent quite a bit of money at this Restaurant over the years -many "family meals", etc. I had a very unpleasant issue with a server a few years ago when the server chased my 80 yr old mother out to say, "that's what you leave for a tip?"..I complained to manager -was supposed to get a gift card but never got it. This week I ordered 2 family meals -spending $125 and wanted to pick it up at 3:30-which I indicated when ordering. The email I got confirming the order indicated it was ready at 12:30. When I called to explain the issue I was told quite rudely by the manager "sorry -nothing we can do. It's already been cooked". I am disgusted. I will never go back and make sure people in town know of my experience. Honestly the food is fair at best and the poor customer service is a deAl killer . read more

Really great experience at this lovely, local spot. As Wilmy people, we love to support the local businesses. We had a large party (about 15 adults and 3 kids) and the waiter handled it like a champ. He was very attentive and served everyone's drinks and meals quickly. I was impressed all the food came out at the same time and give huge props to the chef for handling such a large group of orders. The food was great! I got the salmon and Caesar salad. The lunch was for a special 60th birthday and the guest of honor loved her chicken parm. The restaurant was clean and you can even see the chefs hard at work in the back with the glass windows to the kitchen. I've been to this spot a few times and it has great Italian food, but I was wicked impressed by how well the waiter and chef handled our party. I lived in Wilmington for 28 years and have eaten at Tremezzo countless times. Food is always fresh and delicious. Enjoy outstanding complimentary focaccia bread and dipping oil upon being seated. The bar is a favorite of locals so get there early on the weekends! Food gets a definite 5 stars. Sometimes service can be slow (hence overall 4 stars)--some servers are more attentive than others, but owners do great work within the community and that makes it a special place. Who knew they were such a good Italian restaurant north of Boston, that wasn't in the north end? We went here on Saturday night for a last-minute birthday dinner for a friend.table for two. I was able to get a reservation for two folks and end up eating outside! What a bonus! We started off with drinks. A chocolate pomegranate martini. Sounds so weird, but he said it was fabulous. I got a glass of wine. We ordered the calamari appetizer. He got the butternut squash and pumpkin ravioli and I got chicken Parm. My portion was ginormous. I ate half, and I probably still have enough leftovers for two more meals lol. My friend ate all of his butternut squash ravioli and said it was really good. He particularly liked the creamy sauce and the nuts on top. Our way to was very attentive and helpful. We will definitely be back. The only downside? We had a 730 dinner reservation. By about 830, the mosquitoes were out. They were pretty bad. We got bit a few times but we hadn't finished our meal and couldn't leave, so that was a little bit of a downside. I'm not sure how to rectify that though. All in all? Pretty damn good. And happy. read more

I've been wanting to try Tremezzo for a while. My wife and I finally made it there this week. I noticed a bunch of reviews were critical of the service. Well, we had no such issue. We sat at the bar and were waited on right away. In fact, there were two gentlemen working the bar, and they both were very attentive. I ordered the chicken parm and was very happy with the size of the order, as well as the quality. My wife ordered a small pizza with two toppings. She is a very tough critic, and she was very happy with her pizza. I highly recommend Tremezzo's, and I look forward to going back. read more

Went there again on 4/12/2023. Dinner amazing had the lobster, shrimp, and scallop cannelloni with salad. With a lemon drop martini always with a sugar rim. There were six of us everybody dinner was equally amazing waitress was on point all night, place was packed service, and delivery of food properly timed. Will definitely be coming back. Feel it's not safe for people with food allergies or possibly other medical conditions requiring restricted diet. Did not dine here as when asked prior to dining were told they used the same pasta water. Unfortunately due to anaphylactic food allergy I have to be strict and chose to dine elsewhere. They really had me at espresso martini - quality ones, not too creamy just right. We started with some calamari with some hot pepppas in there. Those were good! But the really tongue catcher was their butternut squash and pumpkin ravioli with some sort Italian sausage goodness on top. It was in a light sauce, REALLY good. About three filled me up. We haven't been to Tremezzo Ristorante in about a year as the last time we went they said they were short staffed and were not letting anyone inside for an hour? I know sort of strange. Anyhow we decided to give it another try as we used to enjoy the place. Anyhow it was on Saturday about 3:30. The place was not crowded and it was easy to get a seat at the bar as there were only three people sitting at it. The bar tender took our order and asked if I wanted a glass for my beer and I said yes but it never came, we ordered our meals, I asked for a pizza well done /crispy. It arrived and it was not cooked. My wife's meal arrived and she ate hers as they took my pizza back. It came back (missing one slice) 20 minutes later not much better. It was now cold, top dried out and still not crispy. My wife and I did not eat our meals together. Bartender apologized for the bad pizza and said he would remove it from the bill. The bill arrived and my wife asked to look at it. Turns out they did remove the pizza but double charged my wife's meal. When I questioned it he said that's my bad sorry. Needless to say it was not a great experience and I will not be returning anytime soon. read more

Had a nice Tuesday night dinner here a few weeks back. This was our second time dining here. Got there around 7.30ish and we were seated right away. Our server was very nice. When she told us she would get us some complimentary Focaccia and olive oil, we got super excited as Focaccia is our favorite bread. Unfortunately, it was dry, definitely a day or so old and did not have a lot of flavor to it. Dipping it in the oil helped a little, but the dry corners were too hard to chew. For appetizer, we ordered the Eggplant Fritta. It was amazing. The eggplant was fried to perfection and the tomato sauce was divine. The ricotta cheese spread was ok on its own but complimented the sauce very well. For main we shared a personal size pizza and so glad that we did. It was a good size and perfect for the two of us. We tried the "Sophia Loren" Pizza. The crust was chewy and doughy but in a good way. Their pizza sauce was so GOOD and so was the eggplant and peppers they added on the pizza. Although the amount of eggplant they used was pretty scanty. We had at least 2 slices with just cheese and a slice of pepper. For dessert, we had Chocolate cake. Pre-covid we were obsessed with their chocolate cake. So many times we would stop by just to eat or pick up a slice after we had our dinners. It was on of the best; it was moist, the mousse was amazing and smooth and it was PERFECT for a chocolate lover like us. Now, I know they don't make it in house and get theirs from Josie's bakery but they need to go back to the old version. Their new version just doesn't taste that good, the cake is a little dry and the mousse way too sweet. The chocolaty richness isn't there anymore. The ambiance was nice and cozy, perfect for all occasions or even a casual dinner. All in all a decent meal! read more

Normally food is great , but last two times toppings on pizza to go was raw like they pulled from the oven and dropped peppers and onions raw on pie and boxed it up and gave it to me , I mentioned it to the manger the next day just to make her aware of it and she just brushed me off saying that the stone ovens they have don't cook the toppings fully like other places , lol I'm 66 years old and have ate pizza lots of places none had uncooked toppings on them , maybe they should change there ovens , what a crock of bull______ t out of her mouth read more

Update to a previous review... The last couple of times we have ordered from Tremezzo for take out have been rather disappointing. One recent night, we had the creamy pesto gnocchi, which was so oily, it was basically inedible. And the chicken parm was just barely cooked enough to be passable. Prices have been going up for food, no doubt, but it feels like the prices at Tremezzo are VERY high now. And as I mentioned before, EVERYTHING on the menu has meat. If you are vegetarian, you are going to be very limited. Every pasta and entree has meat. Only 2 of the 11 pizzas on the menu are without meat. read more
