    Dog after groom

Super nice young woman, knew how to deal with my dog even if she was anxious. Made her feel like a new dog. Will be returning to groom my 2 other pets!

    Denise S.

We have been taking our jacks here for years. They get excited when they get there and don't even say good bye. They are great for boarding, and excellent grooming.

Looked like her Tongue was Bleeding Too.

I have brought my dogs to Strutt Your Mutt, on a Few Occasions. For Daycare. Not Grooming. Just Recently I Boarded My 2-Toy Poodles with them, from Tuesday July 28th through Monday August 3rd 2020. One of my Dog's Nose was Scratched and had been bleeding, my dog was ok; but I asked to speak with the Owner. After Speaking with the Owner; she said my dog must have scratched her Nose on the Crate, I said We have a Crate at Home and she has Never Scratched her Nose. I then asked the Owner for some type of Adjustment; and she said: "There is Nothing, I Can Do". I was then Specific and asked if I Could get a $20.00 Adjustment? She then said; "I Understand, if You Would Rather, Go Elsewhere, Next Time". I Then Asked; You Will Not Even Give Me $20.00 after Having Crates, Where My Dog can be Harmed? It Appears This Business Owner; Does Not Value Business and Can Care Less about How the Animals are Cared For, or How the Animal's Parent Feels. I Will Never Return. Which is What She Wanted.

Marley loves the cut he gets at "Strutt your Mutt"....

If I could add five more stars I would. After bring my boy KODI to three other animal hospitals for…read moreover a year with what I consider serious issues concerning blood in stool, diarrhea, not eating and lethargy. All three doctors at those facilities blamed his being overweight and diet. But the issues did not improve with new diets, pills and prescription food. We were frustrated and KODI was getting worse. I heard about Dr. Oh at Abbott Veterinary Hospital do I made an appointment. On our very FIRST visit, Dr.Oh climbed down on the floor and did a digital exam and found that KODI had a polyp that was causing at least most of the problem. We scheduled surgery with her to remove the polyp but during surgery Dr.Oh found that the polyp was larger than first examined and she indicated KODI needed to go to Blue Pearl for more extensive surgery. To sum up the story, KODI had a successful surgery, tumor was not malignant, and he is doing exceptionally well thanks to a wonderful Dr. Oh who took the time and care to do what being a veterinarian is all about...caring for those who have no voice. Heartfelt thank you to Dr. Oh.

I left with only an antibiotic, probiotic and his food they'd given him. We went with the cheapest option since I am currently a college student only working a part time job. They told me in order to figure out what was wrong with him I'd have to bring him back for blood work. Two and a half weeks later I came back because of what they said. I had to come up with another 200 since the test is $185. When I get back to pick my boy up, turns out my bill had racked up to 400. So I had to get my friend to help me pay. WHY? Because medically I understand but the fact that initially came in honestly trying to do the right thing for my boy with the tightest pocket only for them to extort me from 400 dollars. I say extortion because the second visit they did a rectal exam, which should have happened the first time. instead of making me come back to pay money i dont even have in my pocket. when they handed my boy back, they placed him at the front door. i payed up front and didnt get much time to question anything since there was someone behind me. id been taken to the back with other visits and they typically take their time to explain the visit but this time they did not. my significant other called back because everything felt wrong and they did in fact state it was not necessary for my boy to have a blood test to figure out if he was constipated. they let my cat suffer for almost three weeks just for more money. i used to love coming here...thanks Dr. O for also turning your cheek when I wanted to express what had just happened.

The Village Vets - My dog who is now bald because of the horrible grooming service they have.

The doctors at Village Vets always, ALWAYS follow up with you after you bring your pet in for something. If you are concerned about an issue, you can count on them to explain things to you, in detail so you understand any decisions you have to make and be completely comfortable making them. You never, ever feel rushed and you feel as if you've made a lifetime friend that you'd literally do anything for. I moved to another side of town where I cannot use Village Vets anymore, yet I still send my pets recent records to them for their opinions or call for advice. (If you decide to do this, please donate to their Sissie Sassie fund which helps those that come into unexpected vet bills for their pets, among other great things! You can call the office for details on how to donate). I have been to 4 different vets in my area, which is a good area, and these vets are considered good vets loved by many. However, they don't come close to what I had at Village Vets and I just have not been able to find that trust or connection which is imperative for pets that are aging or have health issues. Thank you Village Vets for being there for our furry family members!!

Recently our pet sitter through Critter Sitters retired and we met with our new sitter one time. Everything seemed fine and we were scheduled to go out of town and had confirmed with the new sitter employed by Critter Sitters that everything was in order. Yesterday I asked for clarification about the billing since it seemed substantially higher with the new sitter over what we had paid previously - in response, I have been told that the sitter's schedule has changed and that I should seek care for my animals elsewhere. With little more than a week's notice, this was very unprofessional and disappointing to say the least. I've tried to communicate my experience to the owner of the company but the line has been busy for some time; will update this review if new information becomes available but sadly, I can no longer recommend this business and would seek care for pets elsewhere. Update: the owner responded and while appreciated, I find the way this situation was handled by Critter Sitters very unprofessional. I can include the text conversation for reference as I did not negotiate: I asked a question about a price difference between two different sitters employed by the same company, a difference of over 300 dollars. The only "policy" I see enforced or followed here is poor customer service.
