"Reviewer never contacted us." False. We contacted Camp Woof four separate times using the email listed on your own website. If you "never received" those messages, that indicates a failure to maintain a working contact, not a lack of communication from us. Any responsible facility handling animals should have a functional and monitored email address for reporting urgent concerns - especially ones involving animal health and safety. 2. "Dog dropped off without a reservation; staff were unaware of his needs." Incorrect. We fully explained Yogi's seizure disorder, medication schedule, and handling needs both at drop-off and by phone afterward. Staff specifically stated they would reach out to DeKalb Animal Hospital to obtain his records and confirm his seizure history. That is the opposite of being "unaware." 3. "The dog bit a manager; lucky no skin was broken." Completely misrepresented. At pickup, the employee who checked us out described Yogi as "a character" and joked about him playfully nipping at her rear - saying it "happens all the time." She was smiling, uninjured, and unfazed. There was no mention of aggression, fear, or injury. If management later reframed this as a bite incident to deflect accountability, that's dishonest and retaliatory. 4. "Medication was administered as required; no seizures or disorientation observed." False. When we arrived, Yogi was in the middle of an active seizure, soaked in urine, trembling, and disoriented - clear evidence that medication was missed or mishandled and that he was left unattended for an extended period. His saturated toys and kennel further confirm prolonged neglect. 5. "Dog was let out every 3 hours and again first thing each morning." Not consistent with the evidence. Yogi's full-body urine saturation and soaked toys show he was not let out at the claimed intervals. Staff previously stated to us that dogs are taken out "at the end of the day," which contradicts this new claim. 6. "We offered a free bath, but it was refused." Misleading. The bath was declined because Yogi was having a seizure and required medical care, not a grooming session. I brought my 2 - 12 pound Yorkies here in a pinch while I had to go to a funeral from out of state. They allowed me to rent a room for my doggies without temperment eval since I was driving from Florida and I didn't want my doggies introduced to the dog population. Here is the problem in short: 1) Their camera were not working so no way to remotely check on the dogs. 2) Once they close in the evenings - there is no human there with the dog population until they re-open and since the cameras aren't functionable - no oversight for the dogs you paid for to be cared for while you, the owner are away. My dogs were picked-up on a Sunday morning at 9am and had been left since closing Saturday night before figure 5-6pm. That's 15 hours people! Alone - no humans! I paid money to basically abandon my pups to no-one! They were wall eyed and ready to get out of the facility - there toys and beds were soiled with feces and urine! Why one star? I'll start with the non-communication. I have called, emailed and chatted with no response. Frustrating for sure. My concern was that I specifically chose Camp Woof because I would be able to monitor my dog while in their care. Lo and behold, once we got there, the cameras were "not working". When asking the employees why?, they don't know. Not very comforting if I wanted to monitor my dog while away. Upon my return I asked to speak to the owner, unavaiable. I emailed, no response. Sent a chat, nothing, nada. If part of my payment was the ability to watch the cameras and the cameras aren't functioning, shouldn't I receive a partial refund? Either way, never again. If I could give this place a zero star review I would do it! I took my dog here for 2 days. The place had shut down, and we had seen that it had reopened. Me and my family had decided to take my dog there on 8/18/23 Before we took him he was fine no scratches or anything. We got back on 8/20/23 We picked up my dog and he could not get/jump up on the car sit. He would usually be exited and jump up the sit with out any problems. We found it strange but didn't think much of it. Like always my dog smiled bad. As we were going home my dog seemed scared. But as soon as we got home, we gave my dog a bath. Absolute nightmare. My family took or dog there on last minute because there first choice cancelled on them. They let our dog consume some poison somehow and let him cough blood for three days until they finally took him to hospital. Our dog died a week later. After three days of leaving multiple requests to speak to the owner, he finally replied to an email after avoiding all my calls. He blamed the dogs for urinating on the beds! Which dog urinates in the place they sleep??? Who knows how many days they suffered in their kennel. He told me they were taken out 4 times a day and the employee said three times a day. Who knows how many times they actually went out. If they went out multiple times, then why would they urinate on their own beds, an act of desperation. We stopped using their bathing services because they are extremely poor quality, we have had to repeat the baths when we got home. Who wants a discounted bath when you have to repeat it. The owner and staff are completely indifferent to our pets, stay away from this NIGHTMARE!!! The owner refuses to refund the unused boarding days because he is angry that I posted the truth about his sorry operation. I prefer to inform the public to protect our pets over getting a refund. Not a good experience. First of all, the place really does smell bad. After boarding for a week, our dog had diarrhea for almost a week. We finally had to take him to the vet. Our vet asked where we boarded him, and they just said "yup not a good place". Also, our dog's food container came back still mostly full. His food scooper was missing and had some random one in there instead. His dog bed wasn't clean, so we had to go back and get it days later. We also never got his toy back. Goes to show that during the holidays, there was a reason why this place was still available. We should have found a way to take our dog with us out of town instead of the terrible experience we had. When we picked them up, both dog beds were soaked with pee and one of our dogs was anxious and seemed upset. He took a couple of days to get back to normal. I want to preface by saying this is the first time I have ever written a negative review in my life. We boarded our golden retriever Murphy at Camp Woof for 6 nights. When we picked her up my husband instantly noticed that her muzzle had numerous deep cuts on it. He immediately brought this to the associate's attention and asked what happened. He was informed that she probably had been rooting her nose on the fencing when crated. My husband still disturbed by what he saw called back on his ride home to make sure that the associate passed on this incident to his manager. The next day once the wounds started to scab you could truly see just how extensive her wounds were on her muzzle and that she had to have had lots of bleeding while in their care. My reason for writing this negative review is that for 1) this was NEVER noticed by the people who are supposedly watching and caring for our dog 2) We were never told about the incident and if they did indeed notice it the issue was not fixed so she wouldn't continue to hurt herself repeatedly 3) when we talked to the management we were not offered a refund for the stay on which my dog was injured. They almost downplayed the seriousness of the situation. I might add that I asked repeatedly to speak to the owner and were told that the owner does not speak with customers. As businesses owners who deal with the general public daily, I find this ridiculous. So that is why I am am reviewing online because the owner was not willing to talk with about our stay. We will obviously not be returning to Camp Woof because of the treatment our dog received. If this would have happened and documented in a child care facility they would be under investigation! Please use caution when choosing this place to take care of your beloved animals while you are away. Update after reading owner's response: Pete, please know that we were in no way trying to receive something for free. We indeed were provided a service however, we were dissatisfied with the service we received because we left our dog in your care and came home to an injured dog. What is alarming in your response to me is learning for the first time that my dog destroyed your metal gate. This just further proves my point that my dog was neglected. You would think that if she destroyed a whole metal gate that you would have taken time to look at her to see if she were injured. Again, I understand that accidents happen. My problem was that her injuries were never noticed or pointed out to us during pickup. My dogs absolutely love this place. I took them here for their first daycare and they had so much fun. This place is so much more dog friendly. My dogs really like their little dogs play area where they can walk up the path that leads to a window. Camp-Woof webcam is so much better compared to the other places. When you walk in the door it smells of urine and disinfectant. I almost turned around and left immediately not wanting to leave my pooch with them. Hesitantly, I approached the counter and this was my first encounter with them: I was a first time customer with a grooming appointment that was made days prior. When I showed up with my pooch there was no record of my appointment and the groomer was off for the weekend. The guy who was trying to help me said he knew who I most likely spoke with and apologized for the inconvenience. Fortunately, I was able to get squeezed in at Furbusters in Tucker and me and my well groomed pooch lived happily ever after and will never return to camp woof. read more

I love Camp Woof, really I do! It's the ONLY PLACE allowed to keep my boy who is greeted by name when he arrives and is adored by the entire staff! They are very well staffed which means you never have to worry about one handler trying to supervise 50 dogs at once! They will feed your dog and administer oral medication without any additional fees to your daily daycare bill! If your pup happens to get dirty, they will give him or her a rinse off and dry without charging you for it and they are very attentive about notifying you of things like tummy troubles or a pooch that was reluctant to play. I give them 5-stars not because they are perfect (no place is) but because of how they treat their customers when they make a mistake. If you get mis-charged for something, they graciously correct it! If you purchase something at their recommendation that doesn't work out, just let them know and the manager will work with you! My boy has never suffered any injuries here that weren't his own-doing or that could have been stopped by a handler and they went 20 miles out of the way to get him to HIS vet to avoid a new patient/emergency fee for me! Although my dog is nearly 4-years old and has been going to Camp Woof since 2009 I hardly ever check the web-cams now but they are a comfort to dog owners! Your dog can't talk and tell you what happened and it's an additional level of assurance to know that you can log in and look any time! I just hope that the owner knows his biggest assets here are his employees! They take special care with your pup and you can tell that these people actually give a d@mn about the dogs! If the wrong people leave then I'd be forced to find a new place for my puppy boy to play! This place charges just $10 for daycare on the weekends! My dog no longer goes to Camp Woof. Unfortunately, since my original review, their business has changed a lot and I really want them to change back. Please. I totally expect that once in a while, even though my dog is super submissive, she will come home from daycare or boarding with scrapes and bumps from play that started to get a little too rough. Because that's just how dogs are. And, to be clear, in my experience Camp Woof has always done a great job of breaking up too-hard play. But on the very rare occasion that my dog was injured at Camp Woof, Camp Woof used to let me know. They would either call right away or let me know when I picked her up that she had a minor injury. I used to love that they were attentive like that. That stopped a little more than a year ago. My dog started coming home with with unexplained cuts and, once, even a clean bite all the way through her ear, and Camp Woof didn't say anything. Again, dogs are going to be dogs. My dog is an adorable coward. I expect minor injuries once in a while. But when we asked about the minor injuries, Camp Woof indicated that they didn't see it happen and didn't have it on camera. Once in a while, that's just going to happen- you can't have eyes in the back of your head or cameras literally everywhere. But it became a pattern. And when when they didn't notice the bites that were a clean pierce through her ear, with blood all over her ear and muzzle, we started to get concerned. We stopped using Camp Wood for boarding about a year ago. My dog takes a daily prescription medication. We would send her to boarding with several extra days of food and medicine just in case a blizzard or other unexpected event delayed our return. Her last boarding in 2018, we picked her up on time as scheduled and expected to get back the balance of her medicine- 3 extra pills. We didn't. When we asked about it, we were told it had been mislaid, maybe it was mislabeled, it was in the back and they would get it to us later... it was never returned. And we were left wondering if she was given too much medicine or none at all while we were gone. So we stopped boarding and only used Camp Woof for daycare. A few months ago, after the unexplained injuries and unreturned prescription medication, we went to pick her up from daycare and they brought out the wrong dog. That's not a big deal- dogs can look alike and reasonable mistakes happen. But it became a big deal because of how they handled it. The dog they brought out had been there for boarding. The mix-up happened at "dinner time" when our dog had been accidentally kenneled in the other dog's place. Our dog has a food allergy that causes a wicked skin reaction. The Camp Woof manager couldn't tell us if she had been fed the other dog's food or not. When we asked, the manager said "It's not my fault", which is true. But I didn't care about who made the mistake so much as I really needed to know if I needed to start my dog on a course of medication to keep her from losing her fur. They wouldn't tell us. When we asked if she had been given any medicine intended for the other dog, she said no immediately without checking. If they couldn't tell our dogs apart, I just don't believe that they had memorized which dogs took medication. Deeply concerned, we asked for the Camp Woof owner's contact number and were told that he is unwilling to speak with customers. We eventually persuaded her to give us his email address. We emailed him our concerns, asked how many days of boarding we're left on our package, and asked if it was possible to get a refund of the remaining unused daycare funds. We didn't actually want to pull our dog from Camp Woof long term. We just wanted them to fix the challenges so that when something happened again (because dogs are dogs and people are human), we would be able to get the answers we need to keep our pupper happy and healthy and playing at Camp Woof. We emailed the owner on 12/18/19. Today is 1/5/20 and he still hasn't responded. Based on what I've seen, Yelp reviews are the only thing he responds to. So, Mr. Camp Woof, please respond to this. Please. I really like your business want to trust that I can take my dog back again. I love what you do for the Tucker community and I want to recommend you again to all of my dog-parent friends. Please tell me that you have fixed the problems that made employees feel like they had to just deny responsibility. Tell me that when dogs act like dogs and there are minor injuries, your staff will say something. Please tell me that when a mix-up happens, your employees will feel like they can give an honest answer about what my dog did or didn't eat and actually check on what medicine they did or didn't take. Please. And please consider talking to customers somewhere other than Yelp. Because I really hate having to do something as public as this to get in contact with you. read more

I'm very impressed/happy with Camp Woof. I always watch to see how my fur kid responds to the caregivers, not only when I bring her is (pets pick up on anything "off" a lot faster than we do), but when they first bring her out (but before she spots me). She was grinning and wagging her tail every time. They're very responsive to making things right (exit shampoo got missed once and they fixed the issue the next day I brought her in and didn't charge me for that day's time to make up for the oversight the previous day). And I really like that, unlike many other places, it's also a pet food and pet supplies store (bonus: my preferred brand and formula, Blue Buffalo Wilderness [grain free] Rocky Mountain Bison). It also means that even if I miscalculate on food because my trip got extended, they can keep her on her specific food and add it to my bill when I pick my dig up. Today, the staff saved my dog from being savaged. In the course of this, Sean had his hand chomped by the aggressor dog. They washed up Jack's wounds, disinfected, and were on the phone to call me as I was walking in to pick up Jack. Jack is my fox hound (more or less) who comes here quite often to chill. I do not like to put Katie in camp, but if I have to, I bring her here. You can look in on your pup outside, inside, or online. She always comes home tired from playing all day. Only once did she come home with an illness, but I immediately informed the staff and they gave me a breakdown of all the dog's behaviors that day (which were all fine) and asked that I give them an update ASAP on her condition (which I did). I do not think her illness was from this place, I only mention it to give an insight to how caring the staff was. Katie even has allergies that are moderate and they look after her and will give her medicine when asked. I am thankful such a place is near my house! read more

Charity has been to Camp Woof twice so far. Once for day care and once for a 2 night stay. She loves to play and really gets to run it out at Camp Woof. Everyone who works at Camp Woof is friendly and a dog lover. They are definitely part of what makes it such a great experience for your dog. The webcam feature is also a tremendous time waster at work. I basically wasted a work day watching my dog run around at day care and play with all her friends. It's really a riot to see them run around and play. The day care rates are favorable to other doggie day care places and if you are looking for a long term boarding option (more than 7 days), Camp Woof is probably the most cost effective while still letting your dog play with other dogs during the day. read more

We had a horrible experience at the Tucker location. We took our puppy to be evaluated for boarding, and she was severely attacked within 40 minutes by another dog requiring several stitches in her head and both ears. Robert assured me it was not our dog's fault, and the other dog's owner was responsible for the charges. Camp Woof agreed to pay for the charges but now we can't get them to reimburse us. It has been over a month since the incident occurred. They put our 5 month old puppy in the room with a 5 year old pit bull mix. i would not recommend them at all. read more

My dog, Oliver, LOVES Camp Woof. The staff is always friendly and goes out of their way to accommodate my dog whenever I need to head out of town or just have a long/busy day. My dog has been to several boarding facilities, but this one seems to be his favorite. He will run in and go straight to the back door that leads to where all the puppies/dogs and is so excited to play with his friends. I feel comfortable when leaving my dog here for long periods of time and I think that speaks for itself. I've been taking my little guy Sophie here for about a month now and must say it is fantastic! The manager, Frank introduced me to the staff and the facility and was extremely helpful, courteous and friendly. Sophie loves this place and is really changing and becoming a very social little girl now. I also started purchasing my food and treats there as well. This place Rocks! I love Camp Woof! They are right in the middle of Tucker, w/easy access off Lawrenceville Hwy. The people are WONDERFUL. When I left our puppy there for 2 nights I was so worried! But every time I watched the doggie cam, puppy was getting all the attention. Someone was holding her, or playing with her. I was now all in with Camp Woof/Tucker. Fast forward a few months, and its C-19 time. I called the store and Robert answered. Talk about efficient! He walked over to make sure they had the products I needed, told me he would send a link for payment (within 2 minutes) and then I got my receipt emailed back. I tried twice today to give my pup a bath. First arrived at the store at 2:30 pm and then called back at 4:00 pm. They said that they had no hot water and can we come another day. It's as if they don't want us to use their facility. Very strange. My granddaughter mentioned the smell as soon as we entered. I didn't find it overwhelming but she said it smells like a zoo. I don't recommend this place. It's a good thing that they have the one free temperament test for free (6 hours). During the tour in the back where the pens are located; it smells a combination of pneumonia and bleach. The place doesn't feel clean and I am not comfortable boarding my puppy there. If I knew it ahead of time, I wouldn't have left my puppy there for 6 hours, not even for free.I am upset with myself for leaving my puppy there for 6 hours. We first started taking Mo to Camp Woof Tucker over Thanksgiving 2018 when my husband and I were traveling out of town. We were so nervous because our girl is a little over one year and full of energy. Leaving her for 4 nights was nerve whacking, but Camp Woof Tucker made us feel confident that Mo would be happy and have fun. One thing we love about Camp Woof Tucker are the cameras. They have an app so you can view your dog throughout the day. Anytime we board Mofro I can look at the app and see her playing and having fun. Another thing we love is the amount of attention that they put into the doggos. There is always a trainer in the room with the dogs. Camp Woof Tucker also does a great job or rotating the dogs around. For example, my girl is a big ball of energy and can be overwhelming to dogs who like to lounge around and relax. Camp Woof Tucker is great at picking up on these traits and they will put the energetic dogs together and then all of the cool dogs together. As a dog owner this makes me feel safe because it helps me know that my dog won't get in trouble for bothering a pup who just wants to relax. It has also really helped Mofro learn to socialize! We also love all of the options that Camp Woof Tucker has to offer, for example, you can board, do a 1/2 day daycare, or a full day of daycare. It is nice to know that whether I have a busy work day, want to take an overnight trip, or just need to be let Mofro get some energy out that there is an option that fits her needs. I used to take my dog there ALOT until she got hurt. When I came in to pick her up I was told she was at Village Vets. She had to have stitches in her lip. They couldn't tell me what happened and said they never saw anything happen until they noticed she was bleeding! Never again! read more

I used to take my dog here until they raised their prices and I got tired of the treatment I was receiving. I was willing to sacrifice dealing with a smelly and not so nice establishment and really unprofessional staff. There were times that I had a grooming appointment and I was told to come back. They decided over Christmas that they were going to raise their boarding prices for the holiday and were requesting a deposit. I laughed and went to Wag-a-Lot. Now their prices are the same as Wag-a-lot, so i'll be going there from now on. I don't need to deal with the nonsense. This place is just poorly run, unclean and totally unprofessional. read more

Great daycare and extended care place for pets. Everyone that works there is a true animal lover. Everyone is very nice and personable. Our dog has gotten ribbons letting us know he had a good first day at daycare, he was voted "best kisser" and "Mr. Social" at other stays. Our dog gets excited as soon as we pull into the lot of Camp Woof so I know he likes it there. read more
