I've had both positive and just okay experiences at Studio 14. Loved their manicures and having my brows done there in the past. My haircut was just okay. This was the first time I had my haircut there. Didn't like having to wait over 20 minutes for my appointment and being taken right to the shampoo bowl with no consultation what so ever. When I was brought back to the chair my stylist wanted to start cutting my hair with no consultation about what I wanted. It ended up not being a bad haircut but just an okay haircut. the staff is super nice and helpful, but i was kinda grossed out by the tanning bed... their website lists the wrong price for use of the bed. it's their special which used to be $4 on Tuesdays and Thursdays but that's been upped to $5 and on any other day it's $7. it's still pretty cheap. i happened to go in right as another person was done using it and when i followed her back, i noticed the room was very small but it didn't bother me as the rest of the establishment seems tiny as it is a small local business (or at least appears to be) she simply sprayed some cleaner and half wiped it down before i went in. at first i was willing to overlook the very underwhelming cleaning, until after i was done and noticed how dirty the edges of the bed were... black gunk was caked all around the underside of the glass. i'm not sure if it was burn marks from the intensity of the lights, but either way it was pretty jarring to know I'd just laid directly on top of the build up. the ladies that were working were extremely helpful and so nice, if at least be willing to go for a trim or something small, but they didn't seem equipped or experienced to handle anything risky like a bright dye job and i definitely wouldn't allow them creative freedom. may go again, but probably not. read more
