    Hairs in the shower
    Sandra S.

The Hotel is modern and the rooms are nice for this level of Hotel. The review is indicative of our stay. 1. We left the room for 12 hours and upon our return at 8:30pm the room had NOT been cleaned. I called the Reception and was told they could not and would not clean it. If I wanted it cleaned I would've needed to ask... no one told me I needed to ask upon check in. I've been to 28 Countries, I'm well travelled... this is a first. With MUCH hesitation, they agreed to change our room. The new room had a hair in the shower from some other guest and even the following day after it had been cleaned the hair was still there. Also, whoever cleaned our room did NOT give us new towels... If you don't mind single ply toilet paper great.... But if you want something better, bring your own. Also they do not have Facial Tissue to even blow your nose. The area around the sink has hardly any lighting (quite dark) so putting in your make up in the dark was not easy. Overall, the rooms are nice for this level of Hotel but just take it with a grain of salt.

    Room I was upgraded to.

Roaches. The type that are not scared. My first room started leaking water from the ceiling. They gave me a 15% discount. I booked for two nights. Second room had blood stains on the sheets. All problems they should not have for the prices that they are charging. It's newly remodeled the rooms are nice. The rooms facing the water front are the best. Housekeeping looks miserable. The customer service was alright. I should not have had to pay for the first room tho. That was a fail.

I told the desk person when I went to complain about everything that wasn't working and she said "oh it's been in the website for 4 months" I looked again on the website and there is nothing saying there is a remodel going on. I had gone to the elevators and neither were working and there was no information regarding how you could exit. I paid a premium for this hotel and didn't get my moneys worth at all. I want a discount for the inconvenience. I know things happen but aren't elevators supposed to be checked regularly so this situation doesn't happen? I would not recommend this hotel ant all. Next day: This hotel is in Stockton. I'm in room 343 tonight as well. I just returned to my room and it hasn't been made up. I was walking g down the stairs and noticed an older woman struggling with large luggage from a floor above mine so I helped her even thought I have back problems as well and would help if I had an elevator. Now, I will have to walk my bags down as well! Your company sucks!

No need to drive around or worry about parking after watching grown men dramatically suplex each other for our entertainment. Overall, I'd give the hotel a solid 4/5 for the price. The location was great, the hotel had a nice waterfront setting, and for what we paid, I felt like we got a pretty good deal. However, I have one major complaint: THE ROOM WAS HOTTER THAN HELL'S SUMMER VACATION. The AC was set to 65°F, which I assumed meant the room would eventually become a refreshing little refrigerator. Instead, the room apparently decided it was training for the WWE main event. At one point in the afternoon, the temperature climbed all the way up to 80°F. Eighty. Degrees. Meanwhile, the thermostat was sitting there proudly displaying 65°F like it had personally accomplished something. I began to suspect the air conditioner was less of an appliance and more of a decorative wall ornament. At that point, I was sweating harder than the wrestlers across the street. Aside from the room temperature saga, we had a good stay and enjoyed the convenience of being directly across from the Arena. For the price, I'd stay here again, but next time I'm bringing a thermometer, a portable fan, and possibly a small team of HVAC technicians.

Access: Event blocked the entrance; had to enter from the opposite side. Room 224: Large, with two double beds and a full-size fridge (nice for longer stays). A long maze walk from the elevator, but a luggage cart helped. Comfort/Condition: Beds were uncomfortable and worn. Smoke detector was detached, the bathroom toilet paper holder was broken, and the bedding showed stains. Sleep: Not good. Verdict: I wouldn't stay here again, even for a competition. I'll drive back home to SF!

The room was a little outdated but it was clean and spacious enough. The Courtyard is located in the Brookside neighborhood which is apparently a nice part of town. The hotel has free parking, another plus! The parking lot in the front wraps around the hotel and gives you a motel type access to your car. Staff were nice and were always ready with a "good morning or hello" and not the canned monotone kind of greeting. I liked it, I liked it alot. The pool is being renovated but I would happily stay here again!

They don't offer queen double rooms, and we wound up booking a room with two doubles, for three adults. Two of us were squished uncomfortably in one small bed. It was a poor night's sleep. The AC splitter unit was old and made weird creepy loud noises all night, keeping us up. It was humid and hot. The shower was dated and cheesy. It felt so much like a motel 8. The mattress was hard, side sleeping hurt. Lol- the elevator is slow and halfway broken, and the front door to the lobby got stuck shut so nobody could leave or enter, on our way out... LOL.. If you're loyal to the brand, and you want a place to stay in a safe part of Stockton, this is a good plan. I realize, not all Courtyard Marriotts are the same. This one has a lot of good but a lot of so so. It is probably still one of the better places to stay in Stockton.

When we first checked in there was a lady (big lady in a mo mo dress) sitting in the lobby like she lived there and was just watching people walk in and out of the hotel.....staring at everyone. Ok, whatever, then we get into the room and the mattress was really old and uncomfortable as if a person had sat on the edge of the bed for years (that wore out) Fine, we were tired from a long day and said whatever, I laid down to rest and you can hear the people next door very clearly because the walls are paper thin. I went to shower and the counter top looked as if it wasn't cleaned in a while, I tried to wipe it down and I was wrong. It was stained dirty and wouldn't come off. When I was showering, I accidentally touched the wall and you could feel the sliminess on the wall. Then I looked around at the makeshift kitchen and there was hair in the fridge and the counter top was falling apart. I hope this place gets remodeled or shuts down. I will never trust pictures of rooms at Extended Stay ever again. If I could put a negative number this place would get a -5.
