I came here for a hair resuscitation. One of my friends (who is licensed, I don't know how, but she is. Bless her.) was going to turn my ombre hair, back to the original redhead I was. It ended up in a bleached (and every damaged) mess, leaving me a ugly bleach blonde. I knew I had to go to a professional to get fixed. I saw advertisements all over the place for Studio 98, so I thought I'd go there to get my mess fixed, even after reading all the Yelp reviews. I ended up getting a new woman, who was about my mother's age (who's hands were kinda shaking when she cut my hair) and it made me a little nervous. Also the fact that she had to ask the other hairdressers what color would be best to fix me made me, very, very nervous. I kept thinking over and over again that I should have listened to yelp. Everyone was nice, and I didn't get any of the sass I was kind of expecting. They really didn't try to talk with me (and I don't like chatting really so I loved it.) After about two hours, a deep conditioning, hair styling and color, I actually looked like a normal person again and not some hot mess. It looked really good. The lady did a really good job and I actually really liked it. I don't know if I'd go back, since the prices for the red I wanted to go back to is a little steep for me, but if you're looking for a place to get a touch up really quick (like a walk in) this is the place to go. read more

I took my Neice here to get her first makeup kit (Bare Escentuals). Was supposed to be fun and special.... And it was for the most part. I had my 10lb terrior with me. The second I opened the door one of the stylists snarled at me that she couldn't come in. I said ok and took her back to the car. I don't have an issue with not wanting her in there... But I would think he'd have been a little nicer about it. I felt he was quite nasty in my opinion. Especially when he continued to scowl at me even when the dog was no longer with me. Luckily the rest of the staff made up for his rudeness/nastiness. They treated my Neice like a princess. Carefully provided assistance with color matching and showing her how to apply her new product. Prices were comparable to other places I've purchased from before. I just went here since my boyfriend got a gift card for my hair. I looked at previous reviews for any recommendations for anyone specific on who to go to. I can tell you I'm pleased I went with the other reviews for Jorgie. She's great and she'll listen to you about your concerns or recommendations for trying to go a certain way with your hair. been going for a few years - they have plus and minus's In the beginning when you arrived you were greeted warmly and offered a beverage, water, wine beer. or coffee depending on the time of day....now you go it's like you have to wave your hands to get someone's attention - and offered nothing. also for a while i was able to get the same stylist - that's nice because they get to know what you like and how to handle and style your hair they way you like......NOW seems like they go thru people alot and only want to offer you the "new person" so you are not that satisfied but feel obligated to pay and tip but not happy with results. Waxing - again never the same person twice - they seem to go thru these specialist like they are going out of style. not sure if the owner is cheap, hard to work with, or what the problem is, but navarre is a small town and i am wondering where all the good stylist go..... lastly, PRICE $$ - went to a trim.....TRIM! kinda simple yeah? so why is it anywhere from 30 to 50.oo....never seem to know how much its gonna be til your done and of course even if they ignore you or not give the "primpimg and princess' service they sure want a tip...... WALK IN - good thing is they can usually get you in for a quick service on walk in. alot of us have busy schedules or crazy work schedules and you can always know in advance when you will need this service - you just wake up with a bad hair day and want it done....Dont advertise on your windows that walk in are welcome if they are not. 3 out of 5 is generous - but i keep trying to keep my business local read more

The salon itself it very clean and the ambience is great for being a salon. The owner and employees obviously take great pride in their establishment, as is evident in the decor and the general appearance of the salon. Alley is simply amazing! She listens to you, the client, and instead of getting that annoyed look because you have just explained for 20 min why the stylist can't do certain things, or has to do them certain ways, she smiles and lets you know that she totally gets where you are coming from! Lol! Alley has always done a fabulous job with my color and cuts and I am one of the pickiest people on the planet when it comes to my hair. I have been going to a place in Destin for the last few months. Lately I have not been happy with the results. So I thought I'd try something a little closer to home. I booked an appointment online with Tori. She was very flexible when I needed to reschedule. I went in with pictures and showed her what I didn't like about my previous stylist's work. My color came out lighter than I anticipated, but I LOVE it! She really listened to my ideas, and put her on little "spin" on it. I have been to Studio 98 various times in the past 6 years with varying experiences. I do agree with one of the other reviewers that they seem to go through employees pretty quickly. I now go to one of their former employees at Kat House (Highly recommend!!!) but recently went in for an eyebrow/lip wax. I was greeted immediately and given a complimentary glass of wine (bonus points) and then met with Debbi. I was a little nervous upon seeing a new person (especially because eyebrows are pretty important) but I must say, Debbi did a fantastic job! She was thorough, professional, and friendly. I will definitely come back to see here and I highly recommend her for a good wax. I also came in a few times for massages during specials and while the first massage was ok, the second was not. She was sick and kept coughing/leaving the room, but somehow finished in less than an hour. It is a salon, so there is quite a bit of noise which is not pleasant for a relaxing massage. Would not recommend for massages. read more

I went here being new to the area thinking it looked like a very professional salon. I needed a cut and color touch up. I ended up spending 4 hours in the chair and leaving with multiple colors in my hair (including purple) and a giant dye stain on the back of my shirt. The stylist that did it let me walk out of the salon without telling me. The owner had to run after me and let me know. I didn't even get my hair styled within those 4 hours, but they sure did charge like they were an upscale salon. The owner offered me a free treatment, but I will NEVER go back. read more
