I booked an appt for a haircut for after I got out of work for Saturday at 1:30 pm, immediately I got a confirmation about my booking. Then 3 hours later, I get an email stating my appointment has been rescheduled for same day at 11 am. I tried to call the salon to figure out why the change occurred, and there was no answer. The voicemail said a text was better and you'd receive a quicker response, so I did that. But, no response. A little while later, I tried calling again and there was still no answer, so I left a voicemail this time and followed up on my text message. Still no response. I even called a third time, but to no avail. I figured I would still show up to my appointment at the originally scheduled 1:30 time, since they're open 9-5. When I arrived, the door was locked and no one was inside. I called again but obviously no one answered the phone. I even checked all social media platforms to see if possibly they closed for personal reasons or anything stating why no one was answering my call and no one was in the salon. Needless to say, there was no information provided on what was going on. I just wanted a simple, quick trim and was excited to try this place out since I just moved to the area and needed a new salon, and the reviews were great. But after this experience, I can't understand why or what happened. I will not be coming back here, I'm so disappointed. read more

First off, the hair: Natalie is attentive and will truly do what needs to be done to make sure you leave there feeling happy. I've been going here for almost a year and I have never been happier with the results. I just got my eyebrows done today and HOLY HELL, her sister is also amazing. It's no wonder they were rated the best for eyebrows. I had one eyebrow that was awkward and the other that was "ok". They were fixed (as much as they could be) within a matter of minutes.. and we have a plan to get them to my goal. I will never go anywhere else for my hair and eyebrow needs. I recently decided to cut off all my hair (roughly 11 inches) and decided to go with the first shop in Haverhill that I typed into google and Studio At 14 popped up, so I decided to try it out. Stepping in I noticed the place was clean and the vibe in the room was positive as all the hair dressers seemed to get along with each other and their clients. The women who cut my hair spent over an hour styling it. She spent time understanding exactly what I wanted and checked in throughout the cut that I was comfortable with how she was styling it. She was clearly skilled and took her time to make the cut perfect. The cut ended up being EXACTLY what I asked for and I am extremely happy about the outcome. Absolutely love Alicia and this salon. Unfortunately had a terrible experience with Tanya. I have gotten my lashes done a lot over the years and never had any issues. This time my lashes were stiff as a board and stabbing my lid right after getting them done. Had lashes glued to 4-5 of my own and many glued directly to my eye lid. My eyelids have been swollen ever since. On top of that, there were thick chunks of glue that looked like I piled on mascara when no mascara was used. once again, I LOVE Alivia and this salon just had a bad experience with the one artist. read more

I am a fan and want to promote what a great salon this is. Friendly, professional, and conveniently located in gorgeous downtown Haverhill. As one of MANY salons in downtown Haverhill (and in many cities around here these days), this salon does stand out. Their prices are amazing! The space is welcoming and Natalie's attention to historic attributes of the building are worth mentioning (her tin ceiling is awesome!). I would say that the only thing that stopped me from giving five stars is that I did feel a little like things were being rushed...Natalie moves at the speed of light so maybe it's something that is a style thing, but I only come in every 7-8 weeks so I want to feel like the attention to detail is high. It definitely won't keep me from coming back, but I found it to be worth mentioning. Edited: my comment above kept me from coming back. Moving too fast caused several smacks in the face with the blow dryer cord and a severely sore scalp because she was moving too fast and constantly hitting me in the head with the brush. I don't tell her what I want, I just sit in her chair and let her go to work. I then relocated to Cambridge, MA- yup- still drive to Haverhill every month to have my hair done. This salon is so fabulous. The interior is really clean, modern and relaxing with a lot of exposed brick. My stylist is Natalie, she is the owner. I have recommended this place to so many friends who went once and have been regulars ever since. The staff are all super nice and professional. You know when you go to get your hair cut and you tell the stylist what you want, and she says "uh huh," and does something completely different than what you asked because she thinks it would look better? That has never once happened to me here. I don't color my hair or anything, and it is 35 dollars for a wash, cut, and dry which is very reasonably, especially for the quality. I recently moved to Haverhill and chose Natalie and Studio at 13 due to Yelp reviews. I've now been there 5 or 6 times. Natalie and her sister Nancy are both talented and warm. First Amanda at front desk is pleasant and efficient booking! The salon is full service and beautifully decorated. My hair cut and color with Natalie has never looked better. Stephanie for facials and more is also fabulous. Products used are great quality, prices are more than fair and while there they make you feel like family! Wow, exceeded my expectations! Natalie is a real professional. I came in with a mess of hair- I needed a cut and I thought also highlights or a color correction. Instead she advised a cut and mask treatment to tone my existing color. I appreciate that she steered me away from something more complicated (and expensive). The price can't be beat. Very comfortable atmosphere and everyone that was working was extremely kind and considerate. Natalie, one if the owners/stylist did two beautiful haircuts. The last place I went to (the haircut assembly line !! ) hacked my hair and I ended up wearing a hat for two months . So Natalie is helping to repair the damage . I got my eyebrows and lip waxed there , let me tell you, I have already had 3 bad experiences in MA. I need to stick to NV. But anyway, the lady who did mine was wonderful and kind. This was my first time going to Studio at 13 and I could not be more pleased. As soon as I walked in I was seated, offered refreshments, and the secretary was the nicest/funniest and most beautiful girl ever! Natalie who had cut my hair was so sweet and down to earth, the other employees were very humorous! Overall my experience was great!!! My hair has honestly never felt better. After driving around downtown trying to find a (paid) place to park on a Friday afternoon, St. Patrick's day no less and finally entering Studio 13 I'm told Heather my hairdresser called in sick. Really? St. Patricks day? No call from Studio 13 Letting me know she was not doming in. This was my second appointment here. The first, a different hairdresser kept myself and my daughter waiting for 40 minutes while she kept telling us just a few more minutes. Having to deal with downtown traffic, paying to park and having two bad experiences both times I've been there my daughters and I won't be going back. read more
