I was recommended by a friend when I moved back to have Jose the owner cut my hair. I have had a Bob for over 30 yrs. He cut it lopsided. I told him it was uneven and he said this how they wear it. I let it slide but when I got home it looked worse. This was back in 2023 so maybe he has gotten better. I didn't want to leave a bad review a few years ago but now I think people should know . He did agree to fix it but it was still uneven. read more

Well I had a HORRIBLE experience with a stylist Named Edith. I went in for a simple haircut, just cut layers, NO LENGTH taken off the back, Is what I told her, 25 minutes later, I see that she took at least 3" off my Length! She never cut layers in my hair either, she used thinning shears she says "to take bulk out" Well I had Cancer, lost all of my hair, believe me when I tell you my hair did Not grow back thick! You don't use thinning shears on thin hair. She never showed me the back of my hair with a hand mirror. She appeared to be finished, so I asked her to trim my bangs... She definitely needs to LISTEN and take some Educational Hair Cutting Classes. It's been a week since that horrible day, don't say I didn't warn You!!! read more

My husband and I needed a haircut bad and hadn't found a place yet in the area since we'd moved here. Picked this place because of good reviews, decent prices and we lucked out with booking appointments for both of us on a Saturday around the same time. The online booking was a huge plus for me. Greeted immediately and checked in, owner April asked if my husband wanted to get his hair cut by Jose, who had just finished early with another client, so we could both get haircuts at same time. April did my hair, checked in with me throughout the cut to make sure it was what I wanted. It felt like she really listened to what I was asking for. I did get a sales pitch about Brazilian blowouts helping my very thick hair, but she was super respectful and wasn't pushy about it at all. Now my hair looks great, I really like how it turned out...and Jose did a great job cleaning up and trimming my husband's curly hair that had gotten a bit out of control. Bonus: Got a welcome goodie bag with product samples and coupons for future visits. Will definitely come back, staff here are friendly, respectful and do quality cuts for reasonable prices. read more

I went here with my mom to get our hair dyed and cut with Kelly, it turned out amazing! She was super nice and patient. She found out exactly what our hair goals were and absolutely exceeded our expectations! Our color had a lot of depth and character. Kelly also did my eyebrows and they have never looked better! After 4 years of only getting my hair cut and colored when I went home to CA it was time to find a local stylist. I found Studio B on Yelp, and went on in super excited for my first hair appt since my little one was born. My appoint my was with a junior stylist. ....unfortunately when I got home I was severely underwhelmed. I went in two days later meet with April (the owner). I set an appointment with her for a couple weeks later to fix what I was unhappy with. At my second appointment all was set right with my hair world! ;) April and Jose were just amazing and I couldn't possibly be happier with the finished product! WOW! I am writing this from the parking lot, that is how amazing my experience was!! Recently relocated I fell behind on my Brazilian wax maintenance... I begrudgingly made the appt today. Let me start off by saying that I like April Garcia as a person. She is personable, proffesional, and doesn't make you feel uncomfortable. The reason I am giving two stars is I went to see her 4 times for a bikini wax. I gave her FOUR tries. I paid $50 for each wax. I felt she was lazy with the waxing. Every time there were patches of hair left in addition to just some stragglers. Now its not terrible if you've been in a committed relationship long enough that some hair doesn't embarrass you or your partner. But when I pay $50 to have it removed proffesionally I want it all gone. That's what I paid for. I mentioned it multiple times and she always blamed it on the lights. But then after it being mentioned she didn't check thoroughly. So all in all, if you want to get your moneys worth and have all the hair gone.. Don't see April for a Brazilian wax. read more

I had Ryan! He did an exceptional job! My hair was so unhealthy, long, full with split ends and neglected from a healthy cut for a while. He even took a before and after picture (to tell you how bad it was lol) the best part though was he made me feel comfortable and not embarrassed which I could have easily felt embarrassed by a certain person or Solon. The environment was so laid back and professional, I will definitely be back! I think for me personally why I haven't been in for a hair cut/color was because I haven't found a Solon that was "real" meaning a lot have felt fake to me. Not this place! The entire team is wonderful. I've seen Ryan and Halida for colouring and have seen Kim and Jasmine for hair and makeup for my wedding. They are a very talented team and at a reasonable price. Isabel is my girl!!! I have extremely thick, long, curly hair which turns to frizz if you touch it. Isabel spent an hour just brushing my hair out, getting through those curls is something i only do in the shower with a ton of conditioner...she never pulled my hair once. When she washed my hair she made sure to keep the water out if my ears, something I don't think anyone has ever worried about before. She ask a lot of questions which aided in giving me the best hair I've had in years! Im so happy, my color is amazing and my curls are bouncy. She is truly amazing. read more

It's a decent shop, it was clean and highly professional. Everyone was friendly and welcoming; they go above and beyond to make their clients feel at ease. 3 stars because I wasn't too happy with my cut. I have a pixie, I went in to get it cleaned up in the back and asked that my bangs not be cut because I am trying to grow them out. I showed a picture of how I wanted them to look eventually, hoping it would give my hair dresser an idea of what to do. He blunt cut it and didn't add layers, so it ended up looking mushroomy when it dried. He also trimmed my bangs, they ended up being an awkward length so I trimmed them back and layered my hair to make it look less pouffy. I'm back to the beginning with growing it out to look more like a traditional pixie. If you have a pixie, this may not be the place to go. If you do go, be very explicit about what you want done (thinned, layered, please, please look at how it looks from the front while cutting it, etc). read more

Great place. Nice, neat, clean. Very friendly staff from who I interacted with. Jazmin did my hair for me. I got a trim and an all over dye. I like my hair dark and she suggested added different tones into my hair so when its in the sun it looks more natural, and may I say it turned out amazing! I love the color. She trimmed my hair nicely. I didn't want too much cut because I'm trying to grow it out. And she fixed my bangs for me cause I tried to trim them myself and they ended up awkward. Price was good too. I will be going back for sure and I would recommend this salon to anyone looking for a new stylist. I just moved up here from CA not too long ago and when I first got here I went to a different salon and the lady there missed spots all over my hair when dying it, and she cut my hair in just a straight chop ... I will give this salon a 4. I went in at the last minute on a Sunday when all other salons were closed. I had Kim. Kim was very patient, thoughtful and careful with my hair. I had done a botched box hair dye job months ago and wanted my hair to look cute again while I'm growing it out. Kim was honest with me that my original vision would not work after testing color on my hair. However she found a Plan B. at Studio B. And dyed my hair slightly darker then my normal hair color, and finished it with a cute cut without cutting all my hair off (which happens at so many other salons). Everyone there seemed kind. The only down side to me is that for the price I didn't feel I had a "salon" experience. It was cold, the walls are very white, and the there were very bright fluorescent lights everywhere, so as far as ambience I goes I didn't feel that I was in a very relaxing atmosphere. There was also a kid at the very end blasting obnoxious YouTube videos. There were parts of the salon that were nicer with better lighting. It was very clean. In the end , I feel Kim did her best to make my hair look great. It was $100 for short hair/ color & all over dye. I don't know if I'll be going back to any salon any time soon since I am growing my hair out, but I think I might go back and see Kim because she seemed knowledgeable about hair. read more

I had a great experience here everyone is super nice and hilarious! I was really nervous the first time I went to have my first waxing experience but April was super cool about It and made me feel totally comfortable. I had checked out a couple places before I came here and the girls seemed too superficial or just didn't really mesh well with my personality. When I called april she was able to squeeze me in the next day which was really awesome because I have such a sporadic schedule I didn't know when I would be able to get in later in the week. I don't think I would ever try going anywhere else now. Not to mention they had the best prices for their services considering the quality I've heard come out of salons that charge you up the .. Ya know.. Also, the last time I went a friend of mine did a chop job on my hair and It needed some emergency TLC. Bobbi was able to fit me in right on the spot and was also a blast to talk with. She did such a great job repairing the damage that had been done to my hair and I have been getting nothing but great compliments on it. I just moved to Olympia a year ago and have been slowly creating my list of "my go to places" and I've definitely found my home for all my salon needs. Thanks ladies! read more

Not only does the entire staff make you feel like a long time customer (even when you are a first timer) they really listen to your wants and needs. April is professional and knowledgable in this business where there are literally hundreds of stylists to choose from in our area. She takes the time to not only listen, but her honest feedback is very important. She is always respectful of my time and is able to schedule appointments for me even when I don't give enough notice as I should. Not only does she excell in cuts, styles and colors, April is amazing at waxing. She will make you feel comfortable and relaxed during a prosess that can make a person very apprehensive. I also appreciate the fact that the system she uses for booking the appointments sends me text messages as reminders. This way I never miss an appointment. I had a great experience at this salon. I called to make an appointment and had never been there before. I had destroyed my hair color. I tried to strip magenta out of my hair on my own. I looked like a giraffe when I was done with myself. April sat down and I took off my hat lol she asked me everything that I had done to it. She was very respectful (I was really embarrassed) and listened to everything I said. I told her I wanted to go blonde even though I knew that might not happen. We started by additional stripping to get more pink/red spots out. Then she lightened it (I had dark spots too from my roots) then applied toner.
