Reserved seating is a pain but Cinemark ticket program is pretty good--seemed like a joke at first compared to Moviepass but because you can reserve seats online for free, I signed up. A nice theater, very comfortable reclining seats, screens are large and sound quality is very good. Use the self help kiosks to buy tickets and look up times as the scrolling movie marquee behind the ticket counter is completely useless . The employees are nice and helpful. They have some very nice displays in the concession area for Pizza Hut pizzas but in all my dozens of trips there I have only seen one single pizza on one trip as they are dependably empty . I am certain that when all the executives go on their site rides that those are all filled with fresh pizza so perhaps you could call and ask when their next corporate visit is scheduled and go then if you want to have a pizza with your movie. I used to go here once a week until my daughters purchased me a movie pass club membership for 6 months. Cinemark failed to email me and my girlfriend on Christmas with the gift as they were supposed to. An email inquiry to their website yielded a return email informing me that they had received my email . That's wonderful . So glad you received my email, how about rectifying my problem ? Never received an email response after 2 weeks. A phone call to them was answered by a very nice representative who then emailed me the instructions on how to use my gift. OMG. 2 pages of non intuitive instructions on how to use their movie club. They also let on that I was very far from alone with my problem and that they were deluged with complaints about movie pass "gifts". Gift in the same exact sense as the Trojan horse was a gift . The executives in charge of this corporation must be on mind altering drugs if they think I am going to jump through all their stupid hoops and then give out my credit card information so that they will bill my credit card if I should happen to forget to unsubscribe from my "gift" after 6 months. No thanks. Don't piss down my back and try to tell me it's raining. You conned my daughters out of 2 memberships one for me, one for my girlfriend . They are college students and this was expensive for them. That's all your getting from all of us ,ever. Corporate management should be ashamed of themselves. I am going to Bow Tie Cinema which is equally convenient to get to. I will never use any of your theaters again. 5 dollar sodas are bad enough when the syrup and cup costs you a quarter . This corporation is run by shameless , clueless crooks. Do not go there. Boycott them . Let them know that your not going to put up with their deplorable antics. Plenty of other choices. read more

I frequented this theater in high school and after moving back home, I decided to come back to this theater since I live very close to it. First thing, I went to see Pacific Rim: Uprising in IMAX 3D and the projection was screwed up: nothing showed on the screen, then when the trailers/movie started playing in what was supposed to be 3D, the 3D was improperly projected. Fortunately, the fixed the issue and awarded us free passes. The next day, after my shift from work, I went to see "A Wrinkle in Time" in 3D. Since they recently added recliners, I decided to try them out. While the seats were comfortable, I was not too impressed with the table piece the added. Sure, you get your own little school desk but, it feels a bit too obstructive. I really do like this theater a lot: the seats (save for the table piece) are very comfortable, the staff is pretty friendly, and save for the projection fiasco with Pacific Rim 2, I never really had a bad experience here. Hopefully they renovate the IMAX theater soon. read more

This probably isn't the theater to go to if you're hard of hearing or deaf. The closed caption devices don't work and the manager (Robert Lilien) and staff are not attentive to proper accommodations. I haven't been to a movie in ages due to my hearing but decided to give it a chance for the new Star Wars flick. A potential memorable good time was quashed. Device didnt work and no one could give any direcrions about what to do, so my wife and I left 20 min into the film. Then we got bounced around from line to line when trying to get a refund. It wasn't a total loss as I've discovered that a movie theatre is the perfect excuse to eat a tub of popcorn and not feel bad about it! :) Seems like a nice place to catch a flick, though, with a bar to boot!! It's a great cinema and I had a good time, it's also located in a mall which is great because in between times for the show, I could walk around and look at the shops and also have a bite to eat. This is the best movie theatre in the area. I like the fact that it is in the mall. It is convenient to get to and is near a covered parking area which is very nice. The concession stand is completely overpriced, which is typical of movie theaters, but since it is located in the mall it is easy to grab a quick bite in the food court before or after your movie. read more

It's one of the nicer theaters in the area, the location is convenient, and although prices are absolutely through the roof ($5 for Dasani? Girl bye.) they're on par with every other movie theater..hence why we pay $7.99/month for Netflix. Did I mention IMAX? In general, I'm not a big movie theater person. I'd rather snug on the couch and watch movies than sit in an uncomfortable chair in a cold movie theater for two hours, but if I was a movie theater person, I'd come here. $5 Tuesday movie nights in theory are a great idea, but this theater consistently oversells tickets on those nights. I'm not talking "Oh damn, we have to sit in the front row, that sucks" I'm talking "There are absolutely no seats left even though I bought my ticket two hours ago before we had dinner" so that sucks. Getting a refund when that happens is a pain in the ass, which I don't understand..you oversold the show, why would I sit here for two more hours until the next showing at 10:15? Awesome movie, my only thing is why do you have to give the 3-D glasses back at end of the movie and why aren't u they packaged when given to you? I primarily go here for various 'special events.' The staff has always been helpful and nice. Food prices are steep, but on part with other movie theaters in the area. Being in a mall you have to deal a bit with theater hoppers, but it's mostly good. read more

This is the best theater in the area--nice public spaces; clean, modern auditoriums (including IMAX), and a good food selection. Ok, you have to get over the sticker shock (the movies are expensive and so is the food), but you get decent parking--including right outside the door if you time things right--and a mall to boot. read more

Not the best theater ive ever been to but its definitely not the worst either. What stands out most to me about this place is how fair the prices are. Compared to what im used to (AMC in Danbury) the prices are incredible! The service is also really good as the staff has always been friendly. Worst movie going experience ever. I went to a 1:25 showing of the Nutcracker. Ticket seller couldn't stop talking. Chatted for 7 - 8 minutes with the couple ahead of us and then was chatting away with us. Please just sell me the ticket don't give me your life story, it takes too long. Then he tried to stop my daughter from going in with one of those new backpack purses. Yes there is a sign at the beginning of the line but we thought hers was under the measurements. The woman in the couple ahead of us clearly had a pocket book that was bigger than my daughters and he let her go in. He wanted us to leave it behind the counter, ridiculous. We offered to let him search it which should be sufficient, we were not smuggling in snacks. He eventually let us go. Next we went to the snack counter where they must have 8? 10? windows? No one was behind any of them waiting to help us. Someone was stocking at the very end of the counter and when we approached her, she said, rudely, I'll help you down there. So we walked to the other end of the counter. We waited there for her to appear and after a minute or so we realized she had stopped at one of the windows more towards the middle. She didn't call us to let us know where she was she just stood there waiting for us to realize where she was. Definitely not friendly. The seats and the theater is nicely renovated and comfortable but even before we walked into the theater we declared "We are never coming here again!" read more

Me and my friend had just came from the beach. We were a little later than we would've liked for our showing. We are rushing inside in order to make it on time, and the ticket collector lets us through. While looking for the theatre a janitor approaches us and tells us we can't go through with our beach bags and tells us to leave them in front or go back to our car. We had valuables in the bag and were willing to have them searched for anything bad, but they refused. The only reason I'm giving another star is because they refunded us. They don't treat teens the same as adults and I've had many rude encounters in the past. Go to North Haven or Seymour over this one, the staff is much nicer there. read more

Pros: Great seats Huge and numerous theaters Convenient location Good concession variety Cons: -Stale popcorn, seriously they pop it and bag it up in these large plastic bags and then open the bags and heat it back up under the heat lamps when they need it -Some of the other customers...We go to the movies a lot and this place has the worst theater behavior I have ever seen. The regularity that texting, talking, answering phones, and seat kicking occurs is absurd. After speaking to an usher about this after one very disrupted movie (the guy in front of me answered his phone twice), he assured me that if I alert the staff they will eject the person from the theater, and if it is on the weekend the police officer who is usually there will remove the person. It seems a little over the top but I might just take them up on it. read more

This movie theatre is great!!! The staff is very friendly and nice. Also, they have discounts on certain days and in the summer they have free movies for my kids. After the movie you could always do some shopping because the movie is located in the mall. Pleasant time! I do not go to the movies often, but when I do, this is one of my go to places. This theater is located on the third floor of the mall. The escalator is near the food court. The first showing of any IMAX 3D is only $8.50 and a regular movie is only $5, NOT bad! The staff is very friendly and helpful. This is a modern theater with captains chairs that recline ( not enough to fall asleep, but enough to get comfy). I'm not sure about the food or beverage prices, but if they are consistent with other theaters, you may have to get a loan in order to enjoy some popcorn and a big gulp. Surprisingly, there were a lot of people enjoying the great prices. The theater was very clean and the surround sound was magnificent. So if your in the area and want to see a movie, but still have enough left over to enjoy the day, check this place out. read more

Very nice place to catch a movie. Love that they have a bar there to grab some premovie drinks or post movie drinks. Typical theater overpriced food is to be expected. Sneak in your own if you dare. The main attraction here is the Imax screen. This is an Imax experience screen which is to say not nearly as big as an actual Imax screen. Closest real Imax screen in ct is at the maritine museum I believe. Prices for Imax here is pretty expensive so hopefully you choose a good movie before dropping some dough. The Imax here is very good. Good audio and decent amount of seating. The regular auditoriums are also as good. I believe they all have stadium seating also. I could be wrong. Place is always clean good amount of parking on the top level parking garage. Mall location so beware of going on the weekends. Good thing is you can get a fairly cheap meal before the movie in the food court instead of paying for theater food. read more

This is not the theater for people who have a hearing loss. Although the theater advertises assistive listening devices . They never work. We asked corporate why and they contend they are used everyday and coincidentally every time we go it is broken. In the last year we attempted to see a movie 4 times. 3 of those 4 times the device was broken. The staff seems not to care. We have decided it is not worth it and will used other technology or attend a theater where the devices actually work. read more
