I started poling last September with no intentions of doing it more than just the new client 3 class special but what happened during those classes changed my mind completely. I was welcomed in the studio not just by the fabulous and kind hearted Alethea Austin but by all the other women in the studio. It's a sisterhood here, whenever you get a new trick or move, not only do you feel accomplished but you have cheerleaders who provide an amazing support system that keep me coming back. The sisterhood is just one of the many other benefits of this studio. The incredibly talented and encouraging staff are professional and genuinely want to see you succeed and progress and are more than happy to accommodate personal injuries. Miss Alethea Austin has been such a big inspiration in my pole world with helpful suggestions, tips, and words of encouragement and is always first to applaud your newest accomplishment while pushing you to continue to grow. My pole accomplishments and confidence have transferred over into my personal life as well, learning that I need to "push past" comfort zones to become the best version I am capable of. I decided to become a series member only a month after taking classes so I could dedicate more time for myself to learn how to become a better athlete and dancer. I am a yogi and am grateful to learn new tips on how to get deeper stretches to be more "sexy flexy" and one day I hope to be able to get my splits (hopefully soon). It's been fun watching the personal progress I have been making and thinking 'wow, I wish I could do that' & having accomplished it and then setting my next sights on new goals. I enjoy being part of a community that is so encouraging and look forward to meeting new people and only improving my pole style. The Chrome Bar is a place where I can come and just let go of anything that is going on and find my inner peace. I am grateful to have this studio and family in my life and will continue to go here. Thank you Alethea Austin, I never knew pole would be my salvation. #AAarmy

Alethea, the owner (who is legendary in the pole world) was so nice and a great instructor.

HORRIBLE! I just had the worse surprise threesome. What a disappointment! Let's just say that who…read morein the right mind would want to share a pole specially when you are paying the same price? I would like to think the business is doing good enough to throw some cash for an "upgrade" on your private room so you can actually accommodate all the people you are charging so everyone's experience can be what they paid for? I don't care if adding "you may share a pole" somewhere (haven't seen that yet) is going to make the experience less awkward, uncomfortable or unfair. No, this types of classes are NOT ok to share equipment. The moves are not very shareable friendly and I was standing half of the class as an SPECTATOR which in the website DOES say is not allowed. I guess is not allow unless you pay, hmmm. No, I don't think it's ok for a business to make their customer uncomfortable and awkward by forcing them to be the one having to share at "their" pleasure and expect everyone to share equally worth of time. We are here to have fun, ridiculous! Then the receptionist (bless her heart!) makes the HUGE mistake of making a scene in the party and ruined everyone's last half of the time while I was in the bathroom. Like NO one asked YOU to go and tell the instructor like in high school, if I wanted to do that and have the whole party noticed that I voiced over my (and the other girl having to share the pole) dissatisfaction I would of. Then I'm not sure who else was there but talking behind someone's back IS NEVER OK! Like I'M THE ONE with the problem not my party. TALK TO ME. This happened a few times too after the whole thing. Like I said, NEVER OK. This place is run by high school minded people. I would NOT recommend at all, but if you do come, keep in mind their private parties over 6 WILL be sharing a pole and paying the same but not getting the same. They do have their public classes which is what I was told that we should of had gotten. Well ok then. How accommodating and friendly y'all are! You definitely made our experience one we will never forget! *instructor was nice and friendly* **Update** aggressive was the "manager" towards me. This situation got confusing when I returned to the studio and over heard someone telling my party how we needed to share the pole. I was shocked. Are you for real? Are we kids? We are paying customers. Get enough poles. Period. Like I said on my review, NO ONE ASKED HER to tell anyone anything. If I wanted a scene, I would of said it straight to the instructor myself. The reason why you were called still a mystery, if she is the "manger", shouldn't she be fit to handle a situation of a simple customer dissatisfaction of feeling ripped off? Her obvious choice to call you shows that you are in need of a better manager that can take a negative comment and avoid these situations getting so scaled. Before heading to the bathroom I said ok to writing the note she offered. Why did she have to scale the situation? Don't know. High school drama? And for your camera evidence. Did I stayed after with a FAKE happy attitude? Yes. Why ruin any further what your establishment already achieved. Did I enjoyed? NO. I wasn't in a single picture for the same reason. Still, I'm being blame of "enjoying" what I wasn't will to pay. All I wanted to do was leave your studio. Your camera can also show that too. I couldn't just leave. I needed to smooth things over with my party. You guys are unbelievable. I still don't understand why you talked to the other person in my party when I was the one with the problem. I told your "manager" I was ok just standing there and leaving the note to find a happy solution after. She decided to take my dissatisfaction of the set up as a "must act now, this is a California fire" when it wasn't. My experience wasn't all bad until that got scaled. She didn't handle it well and blaming the customer is not the answer either. No need to further this matter. A refund was offered to the lady at my party which is like giving it to me. If that was going to be the end result why the unnecessary drama? Still confused on the problem solving procedures of this place.

Luckily, we were only 10 minutes from Gym 5, and my older sister knew someone who worked there. The front desk staff was super helpful and welcoming--they made sure we had everything we needed and even gave us a quick tour. The gym's setup is fantastic! Cardio is upstairs, while everything from weights to outdoor rec and boxing setups is downstairs. I especially loved the outdoor workout space--it's such a nice touch. The gym was super clean, well-organized, and had a respectable, positive environment. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area!

I hate to keep updating my review and with each update dropping a star, but this place really makes…read moreit hard to keep supporting them at a 5 star level. While I am still a TruFit member and enjoy the facility in full, my frustration with cleanliness, condition and service continues to rise. And what makes it worse is the on-site leadership nor the corporate teams seem to have any interest in addressing anything. For example, it has been close to a year since I reported what appears to be pink mold on the two large air units that provide air conditioning to the building. The black and pink mold are still there, and the staff has not even made an attempt to clean...which would be as simple as a disinfectant wipe down. Seems like an odd thing to overlook with so many members potentially impacted. This combined with the constant lack of spray and/or paper towels at the sanitation stations is just annoying. In addition, there have been lots of machines that have "pulled a hammy" and have remain broken for weeks and in some cases, months. Again, another annoyance. But above all, the service continues to go downhill, which is a huge bummer. Rarely do you get welcomed into the club anymore and good luck if you have an issue where escalation is needed. We experienced an issue due to recent weather and the parking lot signage. We were getting no where with the onsite leadership or even regional, so we emailed the CEO directly and finally things started happening. And it really shouldn't take all that. I am really hoping this is my last update and star reduction of TruFit. I really do enjoy this gym and want them to be great, as promised.

My biggest complaint: the men's locker room. Multiple lockers are broken (doors completely missing). Random clothing items are often left in lockers. The showers are rarely cleaned, and are scummy and gross. One shower has a broken door handle and a broken soap dispenser that is hanging off the wall. It's been this way for MONTHS. I've mentioned this to staff and nothing has changed. I realize It's only $20 a month, but that's not an excuse for not keeping the place clean and in order. I've mentioned this to multiple employees, and still nothing has been done.
