I set up a private rental for Chrome Bar and had an amazing time. The studio owner was beyond pleasant, and I arrived to my private hours to see a yoga mat, stretching items, pole cleaner, and cleaner cloth already set out in the middle of the studio for me. She was even super helpful about the music and lights in the studio, providing me information about how to use both during my rental. She gave me privacy throughout the rental, but she was in the room next-door in case I needed anything. It's Tennessee, though, so it felt a little more humid than my usual home studios! Poles and floor are in great shape, and they easily swap with the quick-lock tech from X-Pole. Restroom was clean and easily accessible and stocked with band-aids and hair ties and other period products if needed. (I believe the restroom was up a stair, though, for accessibility purposes.) Parking lot is a little small and has seen better days; if you can choose between a compact car or a big-ass truck, your compact car will be able to better get back out of here. Great to see it has a private lot though. Beautiful, photogenic pole studio with a really friendly studio owner. read more

My experience at TCB was exceptional from start to finish. The studio is very clean and has a beautiful aesthetic. Alethea is an amazing owner and instructor. She is prompt, passionate, knowledgeable, and kind. I particularly appreciated that she took the time to explain how certain stretches in the warm up would translate to the specific work we did on the pole. She was encouraging and inspired me to try new things as well as helped me refine what I already know. I left my class feeling very empowered and confident. It is truly a pity it has taken me so long to write this review!! Alethea is a pole pioneer, and one of the gentlest souls I've met. I was in Nashville visiting a friend (which turned out to be a disaster but that's a separate story) when I decided to stop by. Alethea was the one who answered the phone and was so patient and addressed all my questions. The studio was beautiful and when i finally arrived the receptionist was so friendly. I didn't take any pole classes there as unfortunately my narrow schedule didn't line up with the class schedule at the time, but I was still encouraged to check out the space and treated so very well when I did. Truly the highlight of my dumpster fire trip! Next time I return Im definitely taking a class! read more

Chrome Bar is first class. The instructors are absolutely wonderful, talented and very encouraging and the studio itself is gorgeous. I've done at least a dozen classes there at this point, and it's a worth every cent. I've made a lot of progress in not much time, and I feel that the instructors are great at coaching me through the things I struggle with. Side note: I started aerial arts because of the terrible comments of an ex about how weak and fat I was. And let me tell you - learning to pole dance makes you feel sexy as hell and like a badass no matter how thick, thin, muscular, skinny or whatever you happen to be. It also makes you incredibly strong physically and so far as your self worth and confidence go. The folks in classes are ALWAYS supportive of even little accomplishments. The intro class (the only one I've done so far) is so fun and the no pressure, positive, accepting environment is really great. No skills or experience is needed, nor is any kind of strength or muscle, I felt so welcome and had fun even if I couldn't do some of the skills practiced (yet) ! Our instructor was really sweet and she set a super relaxed vibe for the class, questions were welcome and they would re-demonstrate over and over if we needed. 10/10 recommend The Chrome Bar :) (Great music choice too!) read more

Really just not the greatest experience unfortunately... had a reservation set up months ago to find out on the day of, they double booked their 3pm time slot because of a software change. Then proceeded to not offer any sort of discount for our party changing times despite their own mix up. Also wished that there was some sort of routine dance for our group... but nevertheless our instructor was very nice. read more

I started poling last September with no intentions of doing it more than just the new client 3 class special but what happened during those classes changed my mind completely. I was welcomed in the studio not just by the fabulous and kind hearted Alethea Austin but by all the other women in the studio. It's a sisterhood here, whenever you get a new trick or move, not only do you feel accomplished but you have cheerleaders who provide an amazing support system that keep me coming back. The sisterhood is just one of the many other benefits of this studio. The incredibly talented and encouraging staff are professional and genuinely want to see you succeed and progress and are more than happy to accommodate personal injuries. Miss Alethea Austin has been such a big inspiration in my pole world with helpful suggestions, tips, and words of encouragement and is always first to applaud your newest accomplishment while pushing you to continue to grow. My pole accomplishments and confidence have transferred over into my personal life as well, learning that I need to "push past" comfort zones to become the best version I am capable of. I decided to become a series member only a month after taking classes so I could dedicate more time for myself to learn how to become a better athlete and dancer. I am a yogi and am grateful to learn new tips on how to get deeper stretches to be more "sexy flexy" and one day I hope to be able to get my splits (hopefully soon). If it hasn't already been said enough, the staff here is wonderful. They have done an amazing job creating an atmosphere where you can feel safe and not judged while learning to roll your hips in a way you wouldn't want your mother to know about. Even if you take out the exercise aspect, you will leave this class feeling more confident and sexy each time. The instructors here really know how to put you in touch with your inner confidence (aka. vixen). You don't have to worry about getting left behind with the dance moves because they do a fantastic job of breaking everything down and moving on when everyone is ready. Many people don't realize that it can take years to work up to the fancier pole moves, but don't be disheartened! I was visiting Nashville from LA, California this weekend and was pleasantly surprised to see that one of my favorite USPDF champs, Alethea Austin just opened a new pole studio. I took "Hell on Heels" to learn a little choreographed routine and a Fly Gym class, which was so much fun! I loved this studio and let me tell you why: * Dance style. If you watch Alethea's instructional DVDs and have seen her perform you will recognize that her sexy style is woven into her classes * Friendly, welcoming, and down-to-earth studio owners (Ariel and Alethea) * The way that they allowed for a bit of "free dance" at the end of the "Hell on Heels" choreographed routine. If you want to perform or compete as a pole artist, it is crucial to have a little free-dance time every time you dance to allow you to think and create for yourself * Mood-lighting for each pole, which makes it feel like a "real performance," while you are training * Memberships that are set-up so you can train in an organized fashion so that there is a progression from beginner to advanced * Creative class names This is THE place if you want to learn how to dance from a pro. Are you thinking about going to a class here? Let me make this easy on you, yes. you are definitely going to take a class here. The staff is absolutely wonderful. They push you just enough to make you work, but never more than you can handle. This is not a studio only for those with six pack abs, incredible arm strength, or twerk masters -- it is a studio for everyone! I always feel like i have had a great work out, and I want the classes to be longer. I have had back surgery, and If you have had an injury in the past, you do not need to worry. This is an EASILY modifiable class (or classes I Should say!) to fit anyone's needs My only complaint is the chair dancing class is not on the schedule any longer. Bring back chair!!!!!! read more

This place is a body and confidence builder. I tried the Fly Gym class today for the first time, and although I was much less skilled and in shape than the rest of the group, they made me feel welcome. The instructor was very knowledgeable and was able to teach us all at our individual levels, without holding up anyone in the class. After even one visit, I feel confident recommending this studio to dancers, artists and athletes of any level. I can also tell I'm going to be very sore for the next couple of days, because it was a great workout! I should add that I have been in the dance industry for over 12 years, and I know how difficult it can be for students to feel comfortable in a new environment. After a year off from dancing myself, and just a few weeks in a new city, I decided to get back out there and I'm so glad I chose the chrome bar as my springboard. On top of the overall atmosphere, the staff's customer service is on point as well. Can I just say that if you live near Nashville and you have not tried a workout with this legendary instructor, then you are sooooo missing out! This is a fun workout at an amazing pole studio with a wonderful group of girls. The pole community is so amazing and supportive. I visited this gym from out of town and everyone was so welcoming! Alethea, the owner (who is legendary in the pole world) was so nice and a great instructor. I learned so much even though I've been doing pole for awhile. The girls in the class were so much fun. I can't tell you enough about how much this place can change your life and perspective on life. If you are looking to get your sexy back. Beautiful studio, but the classes were not to par. I have taken pole fit classes for about a year and a half and was bored out of my mind. I understand each studio does things differently, but the option to move to the next level was blown off when I inquired. If your looking to try pole fitness this could be a good start. If you have some experience and want to build on your skills I recommend another studio. read more
