She booked her appointment, being that we are traveling from out of town she tried to call a few times and the phone just ringing and ringing with a pick up. On the day of the appointment my GF asked me to try calling from my phone to see if they picked up. My calls went unanswered, so we decided to walk over hoping this place was actually open. We get there and to our surprise this place was actually open. As we walked in nobody greeted us, my GF started off with her name and she had an appointment but wasn't sure it was confirmed. The woman at the front desk looked bothered that we were talking to her. She was chewing on her finger nail so I'm sure that was more important than showing some kind of interest with us being there. My GF sits down with the hairdresser who was going to do her blowout for her, she goes on to ask are you sure you want this? We were attending a party that night so she wanted to look her best. The hairdresser just needed touch up the blowout that was just done a week before. This place made her feel super uncomfortable and not welcomed at all. It seemed as if we bothered them by being there.

I could hear talking in the background, but no one even attempting to speak, and finally they hung up laughing. I would be interested in finding out why these phone numbers advertised do not work. The reviews are from 2017, 2020, 2021 etc. Previously, this was a very good Salon. What's the story? Sure makes me distrust the internet.

ReNae schedule me in within hours and she was prompt, professional, and I did not have to wait for the previous appointment to be done. For someone that I never met she understood exactly what type of hairstyle I was looking for without me describing much. The haircut comes with a shampoo. When I learned of her mistake I went to beauty zone in person (less than 3 hours after her appt) and apologized for her behavior. She could not remember where she went or if she paid with card or the check I gave her (in case they didn't take a card). While at beauty zone, the person I spoke with said nothing about a no show fee. A couple days later I see a Mastercard charge from BZ for $165. I went there in person and learned that was their fee -- even though my wife dementia mistake occurred. I understand the inconvenience and money lost by the stylist. I also feel knowing the circumstances the charge is excessive. She paid $283 to the salon she dropped in on (thinking it was beauty zone) and now another $165 for nothing. This is a significant amount of money for retired seniors. The person I spoke with at beauty zone would not waive or reduce the penalty fee even knowing the dementia related rationale and my previous visit. We live in park city 3.5 months a year and will not be utilizing BZ services ever again. Want to bring this to other people's attention to be aware of this business practice.

As someone who is very picky about wanting a natural cut, both stylists took the time to walk through various options and make me feel comfortable.
